All I can say...It must be a nightmare for the english speakers to use Celsius Wink
The English went metric years ago ... just Americans now who refuse to be sensible  Cheesy
Yes, Americans like myself try to think of it in relative terms:

"30C?! Is that freezing or boiling? Eh, more like half way. Ok. So, twice that sounds too hot for a miner..." Grin

Anyway, what surprised me was the low, sporadic hashrates I've never seen from this Avalon6 before (e.g. 2~2.5 vs. the usual 3.5~3.75) Sad
Freezing is 0C
Boiling is 100C
- seems pretty simple Smiley
30C is 30% of the way to 100C Cheesy

or 0C I am skiing, 30C I am wearing slippers and shorts Wink

Hai folks, so ran on Kano for about 4 and a half days now, received 0.00067 BTC on this last block. I guess this pool is better for larger miners, I am running just one S9 so its probably not beneficial to me. I have been getting 0.0012 per day on slushpool, so I cannot see a benefit for me personally to keep mining on Kano. I earned less than half here over 4 days than what i get from SP in 1 day.

Am I missing something?

The payout you got above from Kano is still during your ramp period, so it won't be the normal amount.

I mined at Kano through black feb, went to slush and came back.  You will come out ahead at Kano if you are patient, some days have zero blocks and some have multiple.

I have a friend that I'm trying to get to come over to Kano and he's not getting anywhere near .00012 per day with his S9's.  Are you talking about last month or some other timeframe?

With Kano you have to look at the whole month vs. one day btw.  There is also a site out there that keeps track of Kano vs. Slush and Kano has been higher every time I have checked it.

FYI you are fine until 110 by new measures. After that it shuts down by itself. For days I have around 30C and running my s9 normaly at 90C. Can't wait till Monday lol.

On Bitmain's official forum, they say max chip temperature is 115C
Mine go up to 105C during the day.
At night, minimum highest temp goes to 88C - thanks to the crap cooling airflow design - and lowest chip temp is 77C

The hottest S9 (drawing 1580W !) has been running continuously for 4 months now

Do you have a garage available?? If it has a window and a vent in the attic that would be as good a place as any. When I started I just ran an ethernet cable out to mine. I only move them inside in the winter when I need the heat.
No garage; just a laundry room at our new house since my wife objected to it running in the kitchen anymore. LOL

Thanks for the ideas.

Sadly, I ended up turning it off before leaving for work since they're calling for low-90 temps, and I couldn't risk it burning out this year. Cry

Speaking of which that'd be awesome to see a histogram of all KanoPool blocks for comparison purposes...

Anybody with all-time block data wanna put that in a speadsheet?

Yep, you are totally not understanding 5Nd... Grin

This may help you to get an understanding of the 5Nd payout model and the 5Nd "ramp". Smiley
