Great news on the updates!
Thanks for managing the pool well and keeping everyone posted with updates. It really is a difference compared to other pools. It’s a good quality.

Wow, great news kano for those who have dust, although I wonder how much on avg is owed per person. Can't imagine that its much.

Anyway, regardless, kudos for sticking to you word and putting in the work for the accounting code. Sure there will still be moaners but you did what you said you would and that counts for a lot in my book.

There will be a KDB restart in about half an hour.
No mining will be affected.
Restart complete - it took 8 minutes - KDB is updated.

Tomorrow I'll load in all the new accounting data and then we'll have live the (beta?) new accounting system.

Once the data is loaded I'll enable the 2 changes on the web site:

1) The 'Payments' page
This lists ALL payments the pool has sent to you that are in the blockchain.

The data listed is:
UTC Date - the date related to the payment
Txn - the first 8 characters of the blockchain transaction and the output number in the transaction
Confirm - the current blockchain status of the transaction
ConfBlock - the network block that confirmed the transaction
Address - your payout address it was sent to
Reference - this is normally the pool block number related to the payment
BTC - how much BTC

For some rows the "BTC" field will include a red * after it.
The text at the bottom is "* Blockchain payment includes address mining - blockchain amount will be higher"
What this means is that the payment included both account mining and address mining.
Thus the amount you will see in the blockchain will be higher than the "BTC" amount shown since it also includes the address mining reward.

The most important thing to understand about the "Payments" page is that the transactions listed will match your wallet and is really just providing you with the pool's version of that.
The main point being, the pool shows you the (abbreviated) transaction reference in the blockchain.
I'll later add a button to get a CSV popup window of all the "Payments" data that will also have the full transaction number in it.

2) For a rare few, there will be a list of "Adjustments" at the bottom of the "Rewards" page.
These are things like bonuses I've sent to block finders - there will normally also be a related payment on the "Payments" page.

--

If you have any unpaid dust/held payments then the "Rewards" page totals minus the "Payments" page total is how much the pool owes you.

The system is still in "beta" since I'm not ready to send the unpaid dust yet, until I'm sure all the balances on the "Payments" page are correct for everyone. Then I'll write a new payment so I can send that also.

Come visit Discord if you have any questions or find anything you don't understand on the payments page or any problems with what the payments page says Smiley

Keep an eye on the prize folks.  Those of you that can wait a month or more for payout are prolly ok and don’t need to worry about this at all.  Anyway here it is and I believe this is playing out as well. Have for quite some time.  Better plan for the worse hope for the best. https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BLX/NOYj8C7H-Warning-Here-s-Why-BTC-is-Set-To-Fall-To-3000-or-Lower/   Now this could be the calm before the storm but I don’t think so.  Too many coins. The money is too spread out. Far too many scammers posing as devs.  It’s a shitshow from day one. I’m more angry at myself for falling for Such schemes.  Live and learn!

Lulz - funny how every other falling line on the graph, other than his prediction line, is above or on the data.
His prediction line is below the data.
People like to fudge data to get attention ... as per that link.

Sweet! I believe this will be the final block as I ramp down

Not necessarily, when the 5Nd Pool luck is greater than 100% the average share reward will be more than 5 times.  Our last 5 block luck is 131% so we had share rewards on this block that paid 7 times.  You may still get a small amount from the next couple of blocks. Cheesy

True - I think this will be my 5th or 6th pymt while ramping down

Find a block Smiley

Of course, the last 25 blocks (30 weeks) pool average PPS payout has been 110.11% so yeah not sure where you could get a higher reward than that Smiley

Hi guys,
I have some nob questions.

I never used different pool for my antminers (sha256) than Antpool in last few years,I was to lazyto experiment, shame on me  Smiley. Now I thinking to change pool for a first time. Currently my miners works in PPLNS mode, they told that fee on Antpool is 0%, but calculation showing different, my earnings are a lot lower. On Kano fee for PPLNS mode is 0.9% but somehow i fill that my earnings will be higher than on Antpool, I dont have time for experiments in pplns because it could take long.
Can someone tell me, will my earning will be increased here? Thanks Smiley.

AntPool lie about the PPLNS fee.

They keep all the transaction fees in the block.
So if the total transaction fees are low, then they aren't keeping a lot, but if the total transaction fees are high, they are keeping a lot.
I think they make a few million $ month doing that - but not sure.

Here, as it says on the Help->Payouts web page, fee 0.9% is of the whole reward of the block, including the transaction fees.

So e.g. if you look at the blocks page, the last 5 blocks, the total reward in the blocks were:
596216 12.65473219 BTC
595737 12.77212491 BTC
589943 13.08106024 BTC
588822 12.92924708 BTC
586446 12.62751011 BTC

The block reward for each block is 12.5 BTC - total 62.5BTC
But there also transaction fees included in each block, the total there being 102.50% or 62.5 BTC + 1.56467453 BTC

So for those 5 blocks, the reward was 102.50% * 0.991 = 101.58% of what AntPool PPLNS would have paid you, i.e. an extra 1.58%

So at the moment it's 1% or 2% more, but when txn fees are high, it's a lot more.
e.g. if you look at the monthly statistics, last May the block average was 106.42% then times 0.991 = 105.46% or 5.46% more

anyone know what the current ramp up time for Kano.is is please?
Help->Payouts

Thank you! Appreciated

But SNAP!! 5 month ramp up time? If correct, doesn't sound like i would get much Full Hash time, in time before the halving...... guess it has its pros, and cons.

if the pool size increased greater than the difficulty then it could become less time.

https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

currently: The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 20.43PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 155days 5hrs.
