@kano:

i'll get ~170 th/s of hashpower by dragonmint t1 the next weeks, can i join them to kano as well soon or do i have to use slushpool?
Not until I get access to one to test the code.
I'm still waiting to get the one that was going to be sent to me.
I need to test it on a test pool of course, so yeah I wont put any change onto the live pool until I've done that.

Thanks, did you give DHL your Tax Id# or SS# before they shipped, just curious how smooth customs was.... obviously it was smooth Wink.. Lastly, is it better to import as a company or individual...any cost reduction to favor one over the other..

I kept my order under $2500, as an individual, and had no issues with customs. DHL sent me messages informing me, when the packages arrived at customs, and when they departed. I did find it odd that, all the way from China, the Customs location they went to was in Ohio. In my mind, thats kinda far from a border!!! Ha!!!

As the title (and first post) now shows - I've added back an SG node for mining in Singapore
I've also added an alias of us.kano.is to point to stratum.kano.is in case anyone tries to mine to us.kano.is Smiley
Mine on!

Hi Kano-san, thanks for updating the info.  Did you intentionally disable ping to "sg.kano.is"?  When i try to ping, it gives me a timeout but nonetheless, tracetcp to port 3333 gives me 40ms which still looks very good compared to jp which is 50ms for me!  Awesome!  Will give the SG a try, but just wanted to give you heads up that icmp for sg node is blocked... or if you intentionally did this, no worries.  Just checking out as to some might not know how to confirm connection.
Yeah you can't ping them - there's nothing I can do about it either.
AWS LightSail doesn't have the option to enable ICMP
Yeah this is AWS so hopefully way more reliable than the old SG server that I got rid of due to having problems with it 3 days in a row back in Jan

However, going via SG is not ideal if you are close to another node.
In your case - only being 10ms difference, use JP first.

ow, thanks for the advice! moving back to jp.. lol

I’m 9ms away from my Linodes hosted in Singapore - JP is around 80-90ms

Will try SG again and see how it goes

I finally received my 841's, hooked one up here at home but still need a reliable host for all of my miners, this pool is the best ever and I hate to miss out on the hash that could be running since my electricity is high as it is.

Guys lets get me ramped up and find some big blocks!

they  are showing alive.  password is x, but when i go to the site and sign in, the GH/S rate in top right corner is 0, my userne is not showing up in the worker list, on the worker shift graph, shows no workers.

I configured  the miner as per instructions, using my username.  I just want to make sure work is being counted and I will be paid.  I dont have all 50 on line yet, still waiting on the remainder to arrive.  I just want to get the first ones running correctly.
Make sure you aren't using nonce.kano.is - or ONLY use nonce.kano.is if it's an old AsicminerTube

If you have Canaan or Bitmain miners - they should NOT be using nonce.kano.is

The nonce node forces the nonce size to match an AsicminerTube coz Asicminer screwed up the miner software stratum implementation.
It also takes a while to show up in the workers - without the worker name - as it says on the web site.

Your miner configuration should look something like this:

Of course, use your username and worker id instead of ccgllc.4100 (unless, of course, you want to donate your hash to me!  ).

For miner names are they all pointed to 1 user name or are they given suffix's as well to identify the miners? All one name works but just gives a total hash rate of them.

example, I use:
Fuzzy.Ant71s9b23
Fuzzy.A741_1
Fuzzy.A821_1
etc to see the stats for each miner. All payout to the 1 Fuzzy user name address.

I hooked up all of my miners but they are not showing up on my workers tab.  Im not sure why, or if I did something wrong during registration.
How can I contact someone for help with the site?
Registration only affects if you can login to the web site.

If your miners aren't showing up, check the miners themselves.
If they show dead on any pools in the status page, then it will be one of:
1) spaces in the pool settings
2) username on the front of the workername doesn't exactly match your login username - they're case sensitive
3) spaces on the front of the workername
4) set the password to 'x' coz blank usually doesn't work

Who are you guys using for shipping the S9's? UPS - DHL - Fedex
I have used UPS going to Michigan and my god the fees... customs crap, etc.

Have read about DHL and have heard positive things but when you select them on bitmain they say it could be a longer period for shipping.. is that true.

Any input would be helpful, appreciate the time and help... and the Great Pool!

Brickman

I am in the US and have used DHL many times. Very fast delivery 2-3 days and the packages are always in very good condition. I have never had to pay any additional fees upon delivery.

I agree DHL only ever charged me 14 dollars fee plus taxes 5% on the Canadian equivalent of the purchase price.  They never did charge Duty for some reason.  DHL shipping has always been 2 - 3 days for me.

I only had to go into the customs office to self clear a shipment that was over 2500 cnd. ( the A3 )  but I could of let DHL deal with it, but I think when they do for the high value shipment they charge a good penny for brokerage.   SO just make separate orders to keep the value below 2500.

Yup, 2 or 3 days,  makes a stop at the hub in Cincinnati the to Canada.

DHL shipping did not require SSN or anyhtign funny to ship with them
