Did you not see the part about how you made an error in your stratum. It is not your USERNAME that you put there. It can be confusing going off the front page, as Kano goes in the stratum, but is also used as the example for Usernames.

The red needs to be replaced by kano

stratum+tcp://stratum.USERNAME.is:3333
USERNAME.001
x

Code:
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Pool1:             | stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333  |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Worker:            | Kano.worker                         |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Password:          | x                                   +
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
Of course replace 'Kano.worker' with your pool username.worker Smiley

If you have network issues using port 3333, you can also try any of:
stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:80
stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:81
stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:443
stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:8080

The stratum server is in West-USA
There are other nodes located around the world that you may be closer to:
stratum+tcp://or.kano.is:3333 (Oregon)
stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 (NewYork)
stratum+tcp://nl.kano.is:3333 (Netherlands)
stratum+tcp://jp.kano.is:3333 (Japan)
stratum+tcp://sg.kano.is:3333 (Singapore)

Did you first create an account on the kano.is site? Iirc you have to do that first then use that username.

In this part - replace username with kano as shown below
stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333

^^^^ this

url should be stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333

worker should be your username

Yes, I have an account, where I put USERNAME is where I inserted my username. I'm going to move this question to Discord. Makes a little more sense to ask there. Thanks though.

The post from steamtyme should fix it, in your first post you posted the url for the pool as "stratum.USERNAME.is:3333 it is in fact stratum.kano.is:3333

Hey there, new Kano user here. Had a question for you folks if you can help me out.

I came from Antpool as I have a few S9s. (Yes as I became used to the mining world, I realized I don't want much to do with Bitmain, whoops)
I directed my S9s to the pool, but I have noticed that nothing appears under the worker or management pages. It's been about 24 hours now and I'm still seeing diddly. I'm mostly concerned with making sure I set them up correctly as it's only my second time setting them up with something. My entries look something like what is below. Except I use my username ofc.

stratum+tcp://stratum.USERNAME.is:3333

Although some race cars run 16V verses 12V electronics Smiley

Speaking of race cars, his mining addy 16vV8 reminds me of a 16 valve V8 engine Cheesy

The car has nothing more than worry and cost of money. Summerhouse on Saimaa on my plans and own house.
500 000 dollars you get your own house, I say example vs Lamborgini, etc. How many rigi containers you get of that price tag. I don't have that much money. Just example.

WTF??? We were talking about a miner named 16vV8 that fails over to our pool from time-to-time...

"powerminingshop" + 5G

Hm.. Are you legitimately using that service and that shipping container or just advertising? I remember hearing about them.

If yaw playing around with hash rates to move it up and down, the easiest way to think of the "Workers->Shift Graph" is like a tank of water (with unlimited space)

The red 5Nd line shows how full (the green area) is at the moment.
The area under that red 5Nd line is the equivalent of all the blue line ups and downs across the green area.

The left side of the red 5Nd line (where the green area starts) is what is leaking out each shift.
The right side of the red 5Nd line is what you add each shift.

Each shift: if what leaves on the left is lower than what adds on the right, the red 5Nd line moves up.
If what leaves on the left is higher than what adds on the right, the red 5Nd line moves down.

This is exactly what the 5Nd is doing when we find a block.
Adding up all your shifts for the last 5Nd, to determine your share of the reward.

So, I have been mining on Kano with a T9+ and learning this 5Nd thing for a month now and was not even close to getting to the 10.5TH ramp up; I went ahead and "helped it" with a 2nd T9+ and a Bitfily B1+ (Total of 34TH), now my Shift Graph shows roughly the same as the single miner.

Does this mean at next payout I can expect the "full" share of the single 10.5TH miner?
Is this way of ramping up quickly ok?

this effect is the same - as you were ramping up to 10.5 th/s you now have to ramp up to 34 th/s but yes, what your shift graph shows as your average should be what you get paid for.

This way of ramping up quickly is ok, but it's still going to take you awhile to get up to that 10.5TH average.   But, like you said, you'll be getting there quicker than by just mining with the original 10.5TH machine.
