My avalons don't seem very consistent. I'm running 11 A6's and my shift graph has huge spikes of high and low and inconsistency. My S7's are almost dead on though. I've even ran the A6's through 3 separate controllers to see if that would help and nada. Maybe that's how they are supposed to run, I don't know.

My 741's are very consistent. However, once enough time elapses the graphs changes its Y value increments to much smaller units, therefore you'll see what look like larger variations of hash rate although it is fluctuating fractions of a GHS.

Have you looked at the image of my shift graph? I was wondering if it was normal, but you can see my S7's at the bottom are very consistent as well.

Yes, however your screenshot omits the most important data which is the Y axis value interval.

It still shows the average on the right side for comparison of TH/s intervals......
Here is a better pic though to make it easier to read.

Ok yeah, excuse me for that I guess I wasn't looking close enough. Are you certain you've got no power issues? That variation is crazy. CRAY Z.

In other news, its been a bit since I've seen any really comitted dancing. Dancing is an important ingredient, here.

I can basically guarantee we'll hit a block in the next hour. "basically".

I don't think I have any power issues.....I'm running 2400 watt PSU with breakout board (I think that's what it is, I'm still green) to run 2 miners at a time. They A6 is rated at 1080 watts each. Something is up and it's interesting and annoying.

Your mention an A6 but your screen shot is an S9. Are you powering both? If so, I bet it is your power. S9 = 1370 and you say an A6 is 1080, thats 2450. For a 2400w you shouldn't be using more than 1920. (80% rule) Though if you are on 220V ignore all of what I just said.

I do not own an S9. Must be a different screen shot.

I believe we're actually running 240V.

Guys, is this even ok..?

So many HW errors within 36 hours. Never seen it at this much before. You can also see my miner is jumping between different stratums of Kano.

Is my miner too cold..? Could a faaaaar location of Kano stratum create this..? Am I doing something wrong..? I double checked my connection fyi, it is all ok.

I wouldn't worry too much about what you see on your S9s...that's been doctored by Biteme in BMminer.  I would focus on the errors shown on the Kano Workers page and then only to verify that it is close or lower than the Invalids shown at the top of each Kano page.

I do notice that too cold is bad.

Damn. I need a heater for this baby then. I feel like I live in an opposite world haha.

That's what I thought and I kept checking Kano page. My has was registering really low, like 11Th/s. I thought it was my connection, and I checked everything it all seemed ok. I mean, my connection is ok, because I'm here talking to you guys right Tongue

On Kano's Workers page, under the Invalid it says 0.393%. Is it all cool?

Well, my S9 seems to be ok now. Not jumping between Kano stratums for the last 30 min or so. I'll just leave it there. Thanks man.

I have two 1300 watt EVGA power supplies for each 741 with no issues. I don't think you can scratch a power issue off the list of possible causes.

What? Did you say something? I couldn't hear you.   Grin
So wait, does that mean if I put it in the bedroom I won't hear my other half's snoring?!?   Hmm, might be time to move the miner...  Smiley

Come on Kano poolites - let's solve the block!!!

After listening to the latest batch of S9's winding up and down like a dragster blower motor in my other upstairs bedroom with all the doors closed in between, I don't think you'd hear the other half...but I've come to appreciate the snoring sound....

Right after the 10/18:00 mark is when I switched the worker settings and controllers around. Worker 1 and 2 are running 4 A6's and worker 5 is running 3. I split them into 3 controllers because as you can see before the switch, they were still all over the place. It didn't seem to help. I assuming it was only because they weren't ramped in or had enough data, but the consistent S7 readings throw that theory out.

Dying to pick up a couple of 821s to feed into kanopool, but really want to do my buying through minerwarez.com   They are being very quiet about the new units and it has me wondering?     Other distributors (blokforge etc) are taking pre-orders but minerwarez hasn't even made an announcement.   Is this their typical SOP with new products or should I be jumping horses and going with a new provider and putting up with wire transfers and overseas shipping?  My gut tells me to be patient but I have limited experience all around, and with them in particular, to go on.   My one single order with them went perfect by the way.

Just curious...

minerwarez has fallen off the earth.  Avoid them like the plague.

wtf? I just got my order fulfilled by them in december. They're the official Canaan distributor, I thought??

besides the slight delay, everything was good. What changed in a month?

You're one of the few who got your order in December.  Go read the forum thread on them.
