Mine on!!
Technical Question:

I have 1 54 chip S7 that has room for 9 chains. Will It work if I hook up 2 sets of 3 45 chip hashing boards to it?

Thank you!

Power outage. Someone's fixing something without even announcing lol. Man, I was about to sleep but was checking CMC prices on my phone and then my phone's LTE kicked in and that's how I noticed. Boy, if I had slept, my miner would't start hashing when power comes back on and just blow and blow... It's currently -20c lol. Oh man...

Yeah I know, I sleep during the day time here so I can keep up with you guys in your time zone Tongue

It took about 30 minutes, how does it affect my reward if we find a block meanwhile? From what I understand, 30 minutes won't matter and I will be rewarded according to my shift graph right..?

Evil beware: We have waffles!
Was unable to login at work for buying but just got home and found Blokforge still has A821's available! With BTC back up a bit just had to order 2x of them to add to the farm.

So happy bear dancin' for blocks is in order

Now only thing is delivery starts Feb7 and believe I'll be headed to or in Korea for a week long equipment install when they show up at work... damnit

Shit...I just check the worker page and found that it offline...
Then I check the shift graph, it show the worker offline since 16 Jan at around 11:00 UTC+8...
But I am now working at office, can't access the miner, need to wait until tonight and see what happen...Embarrassed
I am very worry...
Check the iApp, the android App, or the monitoring web site listed in the first post.

Thanks, just install the android app, should be very helpful. But I need to check the miner and fix it tonight.
Hope it is just the network switch unplugged by my cat not the damage in the miner itself... Cry
I am planning to add 1 ~ 2 miner in the coming few months, the monitoring app will help a lot.

Getting ready to start a dance party, I know we're due for a 100%+ block now so am not trying to push it, and push it real good but....

Fortunately we are never 'due' anything: we expect a block 100% from 'now' Smiley

This is something that some people don't realise is pretty easy to explain also.
We always expect an average, over long term, of 100% luck - (less orphans)
So if current luck history is not what we expect, there's no such thing as 'correcting' the luck, it's simply that no matter what the luck is, over time the more expected 100% blocks you have, the closer back to 100% expected average you'll get.

What actually happens is of course random, but what to expect is always: 100% from now, and 100% long term average.

Even if it's a 100% block, we still have a ways to go.   Patience is a virtue.

I am new to bitcoin mining, just bought my first miner and plugged it in to this pool!  Thanks for putting a forum out there for newbies like myself to learn!

1st lesson...patience.
Welcome aboard and you are definitely in the right place. Read up and make sure you are aware of how this pool works. Many frustrations arise from not knowing what to expect.

MINE ON!

^^ What he said. Welcome! Remember you need to ramp up before seeing your full reward potential. Wish you luck in your mining!

Anyone here using Awesome Miner to monitor their miners?

I'm having an issue with the notification settings. The software allows you to set up rules such as Temp rules for automatic shutoff, warnings for certain set temps (you can even select chip temps vs board temps). The issue I'm having is I am not being alerted when the set temps are met on any of the miners. I'm not sure if there is a step I'm missing in applying the rules to each miner, etc.

Just curious if anyone has experience with the software that could help a brother out. I have ensured that the rules are enabled, and I have verified that the temps are set correctly and that the miners are actually at or above the temps with no warning.

Also along the same note, at what point do you get nervous for your chip temps? I know each person probably has their own temp they begin worrying about, I'm really just looking for what should be worrisome, and what would be catastrophic.

Fellow newbie here, only a week in. I've heard the self shut off for the miners is 90-100. I don't use awesome miner, can't help you there. As far as when I get concerned: One of mine when it reaches 78 on the main board will kick fans up to 6k rpm which then cools it to 75 rapidly, the fans go back to 4k rpm, and a few minutes later it is a rinse and repeat cycle. So when that one reaches 77 I go open the doors and let some heat out. My coolest one runs almost 10 degrees cooler for some reason, so I can't complain there. And my middle one the exhaust fan always run 5.2k-5.6k rpm constantly. (my next project figuring out that). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. That totally helps with figuring out where everyone's numbers are. Some people say they let their chip temps run up to almost 100C in the summer time and the miners are fine but I'm not comfortable with that at all. So far the highest I have seen is around 85C and I immediately cool them down at that point. I am currently using my garage until I have a shed built with an exhaust fan and an area to separate my cool and hot side. Currently the miners heat up the garage and i pop the door to let some heat out of the room until it heats up again.

my new avalon 741 are automatically running @80-90 degree
fanspeed between 40-60%
Most time they're running on a constant level.
Not like the shitmain s9 which is turning up and down every 5 mins...

Hello,

I run several S9 behind a Stratehm stratum proxy (https://github.com/Stratehm/stratum-proxy).
I have tried all ports, turning on/off Extranonce option but the kano pool state always says "Connection closed.".

Is there any way I can bypass this problem?

https://prnt.sc/i1wuau

Unless there some incompatibility with a recent version of that proxy, I'm not sure why.

The account is OK - assuming it is using that account correctly and there's no spaces etc in the username.

PM me your IP and I'll check.
