NICE - That last payout paid for ----- get this ---  88% of one of my S9's!   Looking back,  I should of started this a while ago... or ordered more S9's-  Skeptic that I was. SHeesh!

Wow well done So what did that equate to per S9 then?

2 different controllers. They are supposed to be able to handle all machines on 1 controller, but they won't connect when more than 6 are on, so I am running two controllers to split them up. The ATX supply is only on 1 machine.

If I unplug machines, the hash rate goes up. Some of them drop as low as 1900 gh/s. As soon as I restart CGMiner they jump up to 3588 gh/s each then fall off from there.

I know with the A7, you're not supposed to have more than 5 on a chain. Its possible that's an issue here too.

You should be able to plug both your AUC2s to the same controller. You might want to make a thread in Mining Support - it'd get more visibility.

That's what I was wondering, so I split into 2 and 3rd is on the way, but the machines running 5 are dropping too. I will post in support. Thank you!

Try running four, see if that still causes the problem.

Ha!
It happens when more than 1 is on the controller. I was just saying the controllers are supposedly able to do 10 is what Parallel Miner said as they only ship 1 controller per 10 units. With one A6 it will hash full speed. Once I connect a second, the hash average per machine added drops. That's what was making me think the controller maybe...

Well that new controller should hopefully fix the problem.  Keep us updated AND MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!

They are 2400 watt PSU from Parallel Miner. Delta Electronics
I will try the offset

You also have the one on an ATX psu. Maybe make that the last in the chain vs. the first - if that one drops, the whole chain could drop.

What's the screen on your cgminer status look like?

I'm gonna take a break.  I have sat at this desk for nearly 200 hours, watching the counter since the last block.  I need to go get some sleep, take a shower, throw out the pizza boxes, recycle the 57 coke cans, and change my socks.  Not necessarily in that order.....   Roll Eyes

Thanks for taking a break. It got us a block.  Wink

As the old saying goes, "A watched pot never boils."

No problem.   I actually just woke up, I only looked at the forum, haven't even looked at the payout or anything yet....  Maybe it was my fault.. I'll stay away from the computer.   If memory serves me,  this happened to me before...  like two or 3 blocks ago...  I WILL REFRAIN FROM CLICKING REFRESH...  Undecided

Bear with me, I can get get it to post the images directly, only the link. I posted in between the image parameters.

If I reboot the machines, they hash at what they are supposed to then sort of slow down slowly from there.

New accounts can't post images. Just post the URL to the album.

Hashrate drops like that can be caused by a lot of things, but typically it is PSU related. Try to run them at -2 voltage and see if it continues. What PSU are you using?

No need to go into ANY power calculations in the already voluminous pool thread... Roll Eyes

much better than stupid dance comments.
is this some kind of voodoo convention?
if yes, then maybe calls to "deities" piss them off and give you bad luck
as good an explanation as any that I have seen here :/

I'm not sure how to do that.

I have the screenshots, but I can't add them to this reply for some reason.

Save them to an imgur.com album, and post the links - probably should go in Mining Support vs. here.

I could use a little help in trying to understand these Avalon A6 miners.....

My 3 S7's are averaging around 4.7 TH
Yet my Avalons, which are "daisy chained" with 5 machines are one controller and 6 on the other are only averaging 5 TH and 10.7 TH.

Is something wrong? Are they competing or canceling out work? I though they should be combining a total hash of around 17.5 TH and 21 for a combined of 38.5 TH +/-

Like I said, the S7's seem to be doing what they are supposed to.

Do I need to split these up on another controller or what is going on here?

What is the voltage offset on your controller? Seems very low for the A6s, which should be around 3.5TH/s each.

You should post a pic of the miner status screen from your controller.

worse luck i got, received only $13 after waiting over 52 hours
the ramp up period is about two weeks currently

^^ This

I started almost the same time as you and the reward is what it should be for me. Until you reach full payout after the ramp up period you will earn less. But if you leave you get paid for the ramp down period so it will even out depending on blocks found and timing. Just need to be patient and it will pay off in the long run.
