Hmm well ... that's a little unexpected ... anyone know who happens to have a spare 500THs laying around and pointed it at my Kano account?
It's actually from nicehash in texas and it's been going for a few hours ...
As mentioned before, I'm not keen on rentals at all, so I'm wondering what this is ...

So pools finding SegWit2X blocks like crazy are killing the difficulty.  Are they the same blocks as normal?

huh?

These "NYA" SegWit2X blocks found this past hour.  3 in a span of 2 minutes.  They are being tracked as regular blocks and adding to the difficulty adjustment for BTC blocks on sites.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/blocks

Why are the blocks not rejected?
They're altcoins - not BTC - so OFF TOPIC.
No more posts about that thanks.

I'm in BTC XTC
'huh?' meant: blocks are blocks, segshit is a txn skimming scheme, so what you talkin' 'bout Willis?  Variance of three blocks in a couple minutes?  That'll happen on a statistically regular basis.

I'm wondering if there is any benefit either way for how the workers are configured.....

Does it make a difference having multiple workers for different machines or naming them all the same worker and combining all the hash into one? It seems that the combined hash rate doesn't represent what each machine is actually putting out.

(6) Avalon A6 on one controller averaging about------- 20 TH/s
(5) Avalon A6 on one controller averaging about------- 17 TH/s
(1) Antminer S7 averaging about---------------------- 4.6 TH/s
(1) Antminer S7 averaging about---------------------- 4.7 TH/s

2 more S7's on the way for now....

All connected to stratum 3333 but only totaling 34.72/36.34 on worker page.

Any insight?

Why would anyone use nicehash at this pool or rent 500th then point it here makes no sense at all.

Kano did say he was trying to get higher in the rankings.  I guess someone decided to help him?

Quick question: I am leaving Coinbase and changed my payout address, however since the payment for 501835 and 501739 are pending will they get updated to the new address or will they still go to coinbase?

The transactions are already sent, just not confirmed.

That means when they are confirmed, they will go to the address on file when the transactions were sent.

There's been a lot of network trouble with the JP node for the last 45 minutes.
The provider said they were doing maintenance on the network with only brief disconnects, but that seems to have turned into lots of problems for the few users who mine on that node.
Hopefully you have a backup node if you are one of those users on the JP node.
Seems JP is finally OK again now.

I am currently using the NYA as number 1 and the stratum as number 2.

When connecting my miner I use stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333, does this route me to my closest node?

I do not see a list of nodes to point my miners, I live in the north east US, thanks

try the NYA node, that should be closer to you.  stratum is west coast.

Oh lol I missed them in the OP Smiley
