I am happy for the last block and Dec looks fine.
However, we are almost 9.3% below even odds for the last seven months.
fat blocks compensated for this protracted "bad" luck.

I am not sure how 90-91% luck in seven months looks like from a statistical point of view.
How likely is it? If some statistician comes forward, i would like to know.

Here is to 110% luck for the next 7 mo.

So e.g. if a pool (like slush) has 228 blocks one month back in Dec 2015, you'd not expect that to be anywhere near the luck it had for that large sample (79.34% CDF[Erl] 0.999869)

Thanks for stats.
I was looking at 250 blocks, which could be an aberration. Long term everything is fine.
It looks like there some kind or semi-long term fluctuations where trends go for months on end, both positive and negative.

re slush...wasn't it under some kind of withholding attack back then? I have a vague recollection of something like this happening.
Lots of blocks though

The block stats page shows the CDF[Erl] for block ranges - which shows what you are looking for.
If you have a specific range you are looking at then you'd have to do the CDF[Erl] calculation for that range.
Of course, if your choice of range is based on specific good or bad luck blocks, then your choice obviously affects the result and is basically not valid Smiley

Also the most important part about a statistical evaluation of a set of data is the data itself of course.
Time isn't a factor in pool block finding, just the number of blocks ... i.e. the number of samples.
The more samples you have, the closer you expect to get to 100% (- orphans) luck.

So e.g. if a pool (like slush) has 228 blocks one month back in Dec 2015, you'd not expect that to be anywhere near the luck it had for that large sample (79.34% CDF[Erl] 0.999869)
There was more than one way to see that problem if anyone was looking at it ... which they weren't Tongue

Here for the last 250 blocks, our luck is 90.63% CDF[Erl] 0.9454 or roughly a little over a 5% chance of it being worse.

Edit: of course the most important part to notice is that it's VERY far from linear.
Like the standard CDF single event table, as the % gets worse, the CDF gets exponentially worse.

ASIC/Account [ramping hashrate up]

Sorry for the newbie Qs, but what is best way for me to view my verbose stats from Kano?
Login to your account and look at all the web pages available.

There are no verbose stats mining to an address.

The pool doesn't require registration for basic use but includes indepth stats for registered miners.

Trying to view stats...

using:

https://www.kano.is/address.php?a=[BTC wallet address I am using for Kano]

I get a blank page.

Please advise.
It works if you are mining to an address (not to an account)

If you are mining with CPU/GPU it will probably never show anything.
(as the main web site front page implies when it says to not do that)

If you have an account it wont work with the addresses on your account.

Thanks for the block cobramining. Btw, how long would it take to get Rewards page updated with current block reward?
Usually it's 13 minutes or the next confirm, whichever is longer.
But sometimes it takes an hour like that one did.
It's a 'bug' but it's just a 'delay bug' and I've not found the cause (yet) - it was in the changes I did earlier in the year where I rewrote about 20% of KanoDB

I was posting this to take chance that maybe there is somebody from Kanopool support team can help me with this problem occured long time ago, that might help me recover my lost 1 bitcoin. I made a mistake during withdrawal of 1 bitcoin to my wallet and for unknown reason or by unknown mistake I made 1 bitcoin transaction fee, which deducted 2 bitcoin from my wallet. Please refer to the tx on block 399022 relayed by Kanopool (Sep. 18, 2016)

https://blockchain.info/tx/6e3bf6483bb2f10ed2f5938f2649c570bd0c3ab5d7b5e86ed3bdecce5455ac51

I hope someone could help me on this, it will be a great help for me.

In case someone would want to donate to recover my lost bitcoin here is my bitcoin wallet address;

Thank you very much in advanced and Happy New Year to All.

I applaud your creativity for begging. That transaction was nearly 2 years ago though...did you just now realize you're down a bitcoin? Seems a bit fishy, but if this is real damn I'm sorry that's a terribly costly mistake to have made. Hurts way more now than it did back then I'm assuming. Otherwise, you get an 9.2.5/10 for creative begging that pulls at everyone who's ever misplaced a decimal in a transactions heartstrings.
As you pointed out - the date he said there is wrong.
It was back when BTC was around $500

He made a custom transaction (didn't use the default transaction) on a crappy web site then 9 days after it was confirmed and paid out to all the miners here, he asked for it back.

Firstly, no way is anyone going to give him a free transaction Tongue

Secondly, Phil did something for him but I guess he didn't like that Phil tried to help by a solo mine for him (that didn't pay out)

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14028025
but also!
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14029333

He's also done 589 transaction on that address, over 87 BTC, and had already done around 200 transactions on the the address before he did that.

End of discussion.

Carl, aka Sonny :)
Happy almost new year to everyone and yeah for the block this morning.  I was out moving my daughter when the block was found (15 below Fahrenheit - fun).  I wanted to apologize to everyone that received dozens of emails / text messages alerting you to the block.  Obviously I have a coding issue to fix and after a terrible time figuring out how to get in from "the outside world", I eventually turned off the alerts.  In any case, I sincerely apologize for the snafu and will fix that before turning the alerts back on again.

Since you are creating yet another CKPool monitoring/alert system, it's probably best to start a separate forum thread for it.  That would make it easier for those who are using it to keep track of it's development and progress and easier for everyone to post comments/bug reports/questions about it.  That is what the other 3 developers have done with the existing systems and it has worked well.  Good luck with your progress on this thing!
