Mine on!!
Are we down? I am receiving the following error: Too many failures, come back later.
My login credentials are saved on my laptop so I cannot see how this could be a login failure notice.

What and when was the longest drought so far?
% Diff is all that matters.

If the pool is twice the size, then it will take half the time to get to 100%, but still have the same expected rewards
(twice as many blocks, half expected reward per block)

A CDF table Smiley
Code:
0.39346934028737   50.000%  1 in 1.6
 0.63212055882856  100.000%  1 in 2.7
 0.77686983985157  150.000%  1 in 4.5
 0.86466471676339  200.000%  1 in 7.4
 0.95021293163214  300.000%  1 in 20.1
 0.98168436111127  400.000%  1 in 54.6
 0.99326205300091  500.000%  1 in 148.4
 0.99752124782333  600.000%  1 in 403.4
 0.99872735771441  666.666%  1 in 785.8
 0.99908811803445  700.000%  1 in 1096.6
 0.99966453737210  800.000%  1 in 2981.0
 0.99987659019591  900.000%  1 in 8103.1
So e.g. 1 in 20.1 blocks is expected, on average, to be over 300%

Long term, average % is what matters - and it should be close to 100%

What and when was the longest drought so far?

You can look here, by percentage of difficulty, there was a 928% in late Oct. By days, we had 9 days between blocks 10 days ago.

I too am switching from stratum.kano.is to nya.kano.is   12-15 ms faster ping times. on NYA.
Might get a block because of this!

Where are the two physically located? Just wondering why its so much faster.

Stratum is West coast US, NYA is NewYork (East US) - the nya name is the sound a cat makes in Japanese vs meow Smiley
I did a tracert and found that it seems to be California.  I am actually closer to that than new York. I am in Southern Alberta.  Guess the fiber is faster to the east.

Seattle and Vancouver servers ( Other voip servers) i get 30 ms ping times.  Not sure why from there to California its that much slower.  Could be a data center specific issue.

Yup after seattle its slow, 30ms then to 52 to San francisco and San jose.

Glad I fixed it.

Well I do have a node in Seattle that no one mines to ...
I guess I could whitelist you if you have a single static IP you mine from ... hmm seems you do Smiley

New user to Kano pool... and have a few queries:

a) How do I check how much BTC earned thus far?

b) How long do we usually find a block?  Shocked

As twitchy as antminers are about moisture I think water cooling or putting them anywhere near floor level is probably a bad thing. Now copper plates and copper heat tubes going to a tank for a hashfull hot water heater might do the trick. The problem is copper is fairy expensive now a days.

Just immerse it in fluid of course...

Still devising a plan to deal with the heat from them in the summer!

Well,  there's gotta be a way to make a water cooling system that you pass through the miners and into a swimming pool or perhaps a hot tub

Bashful or   -----   Hashful? :-)

I am trying.. got up to about 70TH/s just yesterday.

DID YOU KNOW - That 4 S9 antminers heat up a 25x25 foot garage from 5 deg to 21 in about 6 hours?  I have 4 in there, and one in my house.  I think i will move a couple more in the house.  I should note that it was -25 deg C outside as well.  Still devising a plan to deal with the heat from them in the summer!

At the time of writing this, there is 99 hours on the wall - since the last block.

99 hours on the wall, add one more.... 100 hours onthe wall.....

My 2x S9 and my one ol' S7 are heating my entire basement (finished) and certainly helping with the rest of the house, as even the floor is warm to bare feet.
Its definitely a bonus here in New England right now !
It's got to be 5 degrees outside...

Yes, it looks like around +1.5% increase. Will be interesting to see how much network hashing power come onboard over the next month or two.

my estimated next difficulty calculation :  1 890 290 596 971    0.92%    18/01/01 10:50

will probably end up between 1.0-2.5%

Any other estimates ?

Based on the prior blocks in this difficulty round, it's currently 9.88 mins between blocks.

That puts the next difficulty around 1,895,655,751,456.57, or about 1.2% increase.  Scheduled for the wee hours in the morn of the first day of 2018 (US mountain time).
