I have a s9 since a month and pointed at Slushpool, it gives me 0.0026 every 1 upto 9 hours depending on luck. I am interested in kano pool , so in case I joined kano pool, I get about 700 Ph / 140 Ph Slush/Kano proportion thus in case a block falls I receive 4.2 x times more. right? But it wil also take 4.2 times longer right?

But 97 hour no block is not convincing to switch pool at the moment

Think for yourself
Asking for Off Topic opinions.

Which Bitcoin-QT should we be using?  .14.2 or .15.0.1?

I downloaded the latter recently and there was a message saying that the main exchanges were going to fork another altcoin and move away from core.  So I guess I'm behind in the latest news again.

would anyone bet how many more hours will kano be block less???

I wonder if this bad luck is something regular with that amount of hash. It is not like we are mining with usb sticks..  Roll Eyes

Mine ON!!!
i hate sounding like a noob
but hell i am one
so...
my question is
will i get anything if we find a block today?
i started on the 18th with a steady 30TH
5Nd is currently 2.5 days. Was probably a bit longer when you started, but you've certainly hit almost full ramp so yeah, blocks need to start popping and you'll get full(ish) payouts. Eating some chicken never hurts, either.  Wink
Mine on! Cool

thanks

I would imagine miners as a whole are more IT inclined...    I wonder how many of them (us) have miners running AT work?  Cheesy

My boss and the VP of Operations are aware I mine BTC. I think my boss is curious and kind of kicks himself for not buying some when they were under $1,000.

I have thought about a couple miners at work but there really isn't a place where I could get good ventilation and air flow in and out.
The server room, where I work, is kept chilled by AC, but I think any miners in there would quickly raise the room temp. The six servers and two workstations in there don't put out too much heat (amazingly). At least not as much as a few miners.

Just noticed our pool hash rate is through the roof!! Certainly the highest I have ever seen and probably the highest it has ever been.

But did I miss the memo that the difficulty has risen to 850 quadrillion, zillion? FOTHER MUCKER!!  Tongue

you were sleeping all this time

No, I've other things going on and I try not to watch the pool as much as I have at times. You know what they say (whoever "they" are), "a watched pot never boils".

Got to work an extra shift tonight as security at the IT place where I work. 8 Pm tonight to 5 AM tomorrow. Normally I'm an IT specialist during the week but picking up extra hours as night security also. Over-time pay is nice.
Lack of blocks is not so nice.....

LET'S DO IT!!!

Now I'm SURE our luck will change! LOL  Grin

Edit: I seem to recall we had another 700+% block about a year or so ago. Don't remember that number. Anyone?

OT, I know. Gotta say it. My long-time BFF, Rev. Mike Christensen, is on a 90-day study sabbatical in Australia and just underwent emergency surgery for a bleeding aortic aneurysm. He's stable, but he'll be at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney for a couple of weeks. Mike's the "silent partner" in the mine, and if it wasn't for him believing in me and what BTC means, I would not have been able to recover and come back after Mt. Gox. Wife Gail is with him and OK, but it ain't easy. Keep him in your thoughts, please. He's a keeper and an asset to our "community."

Thanks. I'm done. Mine on...and I know Mike's working on that darn block along with us...

(If you need to delete, Kano, I understand)

prayes for him and his family

now lets go!!!

mine on!!!
