We got 2 and a controller. This will be our 1st Canann miner's. I'm excited to see how they perform. We have only had S9's they out of the ones we have, half of them have been sent back for repairs in 6 months.

Funny, same here. I got 2 and a controller to test out. I got tired of trying to buy another s9 right now.

hey guys....got no reply in the A7 thread so hope it's ok to ask here....

so this morning I see 1 of my 6 avalons not hashing....the blue light is on on the hardware....fan is down to 10%, tried to post a image of the "Avalon Devices Status", but won't let me...but the other 5 are looking normal....

any ideas of the cause and what to do to resolve....

Maybe try power cycling it?

M

Thanks Dude...first thing I tried...still the same issue....can someone tell me what, on the "avalon device status" screen, what does "DH" stand for, between the "Localworks" and the "GHSasc" columns?  Because the miner in question is showing 0%, while the others show a range of 3.8 to 12.2%??

If you hover your cursor over the title you'll see it's device hardware error.

Mine are around 3.5%.

I don't know what normal is.. but 12% seems a bit high.  Are you keeping them cool?  They are rated to take up to 40C intake.  When I see mine at 40C consistently, or higher, I shut them down until the outside temp goes down.  (I'm still working on cooling...)

Block! by Saizan Smiley
That was a 12 second network block so not much fees.

What does that mean?  Huh

Not being facetious. I really don't know.  I thought fees were just something you had to pay to the blockchain (whoever runs it I have no clue) to transfer BTC and the more you pay the faster your transaction happens.

That means this block was found 12 seconds after the last block.  That wasn't much time for many transactions (and fees) to be gathered into the block.

The bitcoin network intends there to be 10 minutes, on average, between blocks.  That means some will be less than 10 mins, and some will be more.  This one was a LOT less. Smiley

Hey Kano I got a payout for the blocks from 5th and 8th of October but still didn’t get the one from October 7th block number 488736.  Can you please check? Thanks!

Holy smokes!  So this online wallet trying to steal my btc!!!?  It shows like I’ve never received that transaction!  Angry

I was supposed to receive it by now correct Kano?

I had that happen to me a couple of times in the past when I used Coinbase to receive my payouts (use to).  I would just open a trouble ticket, put in the transaction code along with the question, and they would resolved it each time.

That’s exactly what I did Carl!  Although I just got an automated email saying that they can’t answer right now because it was too late but at the same time like 15 min after I wrote them booom I get my reward in my wallet!   Wink. Feels like if I haven’t noticed it then I wouldn’t have gotten my btc!   Undecided

Isn't the best receiving address your own wallet?

I have a cold storage Ledge S but first I accumulate a certain amount on an online wallet and then transfer it to the cold storage.  I like getting email notifications when I receive btc and there is another reason. Smiley
