Just thought I'd chime in here.

There aren't a lot of pools out there that have been around for a long time and are run by a trustworthy operator.

Kano's pool is one that gets my vote.  And when I get back into mining, it'll also get my hashrate.

Antpool does not.

That's better than 90% of the the stats you listed.
...
You keep quoting a random short term 116% PPS and making some bullshit implication it isn't random luck short term.

You've also made false claims about antpoo payouts.

You clearly are shilling for Bitmain.

I'll simply delete your posts.

...
I don't agree that hoping for that magical 1 in 10 chance is a good idea.
...
Again bullshit.

Last 7 months have averaged 124% reward.

Yep dust mining here is indeed an unknown when you'll get paid out and until then, yep you could call it a 100% fee ... other than I don't want to keep the BTC Tongue
I've no interest in absconding with someone else's money.

I don't know why not, it's a lot of money.  919 users, let's say each one has one dust amount of 5000 satoshi a day... that's about $150 a day at current prices.

$54k a year is a lot of 'dust'.

Maybe you formed this policy back in 2014 when 10000 satoshi was basically a meaningless amount.  I get that.  But now it's not.

lulz $150 a day ... not anything like that ... ~$44 a day for 3 years (though of course it goes up and down ... now we only get ~2 blocks a day so on the lower end)
Total balance since Sep-2014 is something like 16BTC - including miners who had no payout addresses and got more than dust.
$48k at current prices in almost 3 years.

Dust is another story
I have a bit of dust here and I think kano.is should alter dust policy
if you come here with 50 th  and you hit blocks while ramping up you get burnt.  as the first fast blocks would be dust. So I agree about dust.

but you are far off on the issue of 2 day  test results.

I'm not advertising for anyone, just stating the facts.  Your fees: 0.9% - Other unnamed pool's fees for PPLNS: 0%, but you still act like you have lower fees.  You don't.

Dishonesty is not how to build your brand.  I'm sure my little 3-4 Th/s is trivial... it is.  But it's just a start to hold me over while other, significantly larger investors, get in position with hardware.  We could have added a few hundred Th/s, maybe a few Ph/s, but seriously... would you do business with someone who is responding to questions the way you are now?  Be honest.

"Will I get paid?  When?" -> "DUH!  At some point in the future." -> "Cya."

I've started a thread on this in Scams.

you simply don't understand what you are saying.

you can tell kano.is payouts  in a 1 day test.

or a 2 day test
or a 3 day test
or a 4 day test.
even a 30 day test is too short.

arguing based on a 2 day test makes you look___________ (i will let you fill ing the word)

Yeah, it looks like they do (usually) keep the transaction fees, but they're not lying about it

"PPLNS: (Transaction fees not paid out to miners for maintaining cost and the bonus for our engineers)"

And they do actually pay out the transaction fees for one of their payout methods, PPS+, apparently.   Whatever, with the extra on top of the PPS they're giving me now it's still over the average, and it's still paying more than I made with luck-based on slush.  Daily payouts with no transaction fees and a fairly usable web page make it worth it, to me.  Besides, the 'dust' from mining with Kano is 100% of what my miner can produce.  If you aren't paying that out, that means your fees are, for me, 100%.  No thanks.

I'd rather deal with someone other than Bitmain, but more profitable than Slush, so I thought I'd try your pool out.   Guess I'll keep looking.  Have a nice day.

Yeah that "maintaining cost and the bonus for our engineers" is literally of the order of $1million a month Smiley
Certainly wouldn't want to call them out on that scam ... they are such an upright worthy of praise company ... I hear you had fun trying to get a miner from them ...

Oh well, you'll get it one day, then maybe by then it will be worth more than a few cents Smiley

Heh I've made certain comments about this a few times in the past like below.
I wonder if anyone took notice back then ... they could have made almost 500% profit in 10 months if they did Smiley
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16515608
Back then BTC was around $615 now it's over $3000 Smiley

LOL have fun with that Smiley

antpoo 0% PPLNS fee is a lie Smiley and you fell for it Smiley like so many sheeple

They keep the transaction fees which for each of the last 7 months (which are shown on the blocks page)  are:
July 10.04%
June 22.31%
May 20.05%
April 11.07%
March 13.14%
February 9.46%
January 5.58%

Wow don't you love those 0% fee pools Cheesy lol average for 7 months is: 11.57% fees on that supposed 0% fee pool

Yes I'm not concerned if you don't mine here.

Don't forget to start a scam thread for antpoo lying about their fees Cheesy

I take it your post is simply trying to advertise another pool who charges a lot more fees?
No pool is paying all their miners 116% PPS

Actually, I pretty much hate Bitmain at this point, I sent them $1000+ a month ago for an S9 and they still haven't even confirmed my payment.  I ranted about it a while in another thread.  Would a Bitmain shill start a thread called 'Bitmain takes your money, does not send product, DO NOT TRUST BITMAIN'?

But after trying first Slush, then Kano, and now Antpool... regrettably, Antpool is paying the most by a pretty wide margin.   Yes some days luck based pools pay better but in my experience on Slushpool the bad days outweigh the good ones.  PPS is super steady and very predictable.

Anyways, I'm not trying to be negative about your pool on your pool's thread.  I'm just trying to figure out when / if I'm going to get paid since it sounds like you don't pay out for amounts under 10k per block and from the looks of it that would be every block I mine with your pool.  Is there a 'request dust payment' button on Kano.is somewhere?  I looked but couldn't find anything like that.

I have some suggestions for your site if you'd like to hear them.

Well your only question you asked is
Hello, I was wondering if I will get paid for the mining I did with Kano?
...

Which is a pointless question since I'm sure the people with 10PH+ on the pool would be posting rather angry posts if the answer was anything other than the expected answer of "Yes" ...

If instead your question was "I've been mining dust. When will I get the dust, coz the website says"
Quote
Dust payments below 0.00010000 BTC are not sent out yet.
then the answer is some time in the future - not yet determined accurately.
Or as per my response many times in the past "some time in a galaxy far far away"

--

You also seem to be able to quote luck figures as some idea about how much to expect at another pool, where those luck figures are not at all what to expect at that pool.

As for these statements you made:
Quote
Antpool is paying the most by a pretty wide margin.

and
Quote
Yes some days luck based pools pay better but in my experience on 'scampool' the bad days outweigh the good ones.

... there's a whole page of stats on the Blocks page here that says that is not the case at all here.

... and yes that's a scampool coz he ripped off his miners big time in Dec-2015 and yet has the gall to say on his web site
"Long history of stable and accurate payouts" ... I guess back to Jan-2016 can be considered a long history Tongue

--

And yes I deleted 2 of your posts - I'm not interested in advertising antpoo
... and trying to apply a gambling addiction to your lack of understanding of PPLNS is pointless - learn about PPLNS - just trashing it with incorrect statements is pointless.

You need to mine kano for at least 3-4 days before your shares are full paid I found out. My freshly gained experience is kano pays more than slush.

Are you sure Antpool pays better...............

PPLNS makes it hard to say, Kano has no calculators and doesn't tell you what your eventual payout will be after all pay phases are complete.

But from pointing my ol' Spondoolies SP30 with a busted chip at it for two days, at 3.6-3.7 Th/s, several days later my dust shows as 40k.   Same two days on Antpool?  240k, and they paid me already.  Antpool has a thing going now where PPS gets random bonus on top so it's paying out at 116% for me.
Sigh - so basically you are looking at a PPS pool that pays you a fixed low rate vs a PPLNS pool that pays you a luck based, but expected higher rate.

Firstly, I can find 2 days where you would have been paid 5 times as much as antpoo and I can find you 2 days where you'd be paid less.
Neither means anything.
That's like rolling a dice once, getting a 6 and then saying you will always get a 6 coz that's what happened the first time - yes literally.

Now if I was to look at history - which is just as deceptive as looking at 2 days, for the past 6 months the pool has averaged 127% PPS
Yep WAY more than antpoo Tongue

PPS pools give you a fixed low income so thus they can of course tell you exactly what you will get, no more and no less.

A PPLNS pool gives you a random daily income based on pool luck, so they can't tell you exactly what you will get.
I can tell you what to 'expect' over time ... Pool Luck * 99.1% PPS * Tx%
You can see on the Blocks page what that has been for every month for the past 6 months.
Every month there has been better than antpoo

I can guarantee you one thing 100% without doubt:
antpoo takes more fees every 1THs mining there than I do here.

I take it your post is simply trying to advertise another pool who charges a lot more fees?

Hello, I was wondering if I will get paid for the mining I did with Kano?  I tried it out for a day or two.

I have a dust balance of 40k satoshi, but each block only 7k or so.

I thought about mining with Kano but Antpool pays much better, and faster.  Dealing with Bitmain is kinda unpleasant, I'd rather go with someone else but I have to maximize profits.  Antpool = 120k satoshi a day, Kano = maybe 30k?  Hard to tell with the PPLNS system in place.

Noticed (rather a long time after it appeared on one of my screens) an interesting block by someone else about 5 hours ago:
Code:
2017-08-05 02:19:25.235990 ERROR: AcceptBlockHeader: Consensus::ContextualCheckBlockHeader:

Edit: well after reading the log, it appears it was a BCH block, lulz connecting to a BTC node ... and yes of course it got banned straight away.

So anyone wandering what debug.log can show for these sort of issues:
