Hashtap seems to be a source for exploitation by hackers so I doubt I will bring it back unless I'm able to source a developer to create a completely new frontend.

I found a trojan recently in a very widely used ewbf miner windows build....   Thank god I never used it on my personal machine, or much at all.  It might possibly be the one I linked on my original batch post.  I need to check my memory on that one.  I may have used the same copy from a nemosminer package long ago....  I haven't the slightest clue at this point since I haven't mined equihash, much at all.  Just wasn't as profitable for me.

This just shows;  be sure you guys are careful.  I am usually extremely careful, and somehow this one slipped through the cracks.

What does the trojan do?  Just wondering if you mean it was flagged as malware (as most miners are anyways), or does it do something unbeknownst to us (such as mining for someone else, key logging, or finding/decrypting wallets and sending them to the author).

Im not sure.   I haven't tried to decompile the program since I have found out... see if the code is obfuscated, etc.  Lots to do to figure it out since the application no longer runs.

The application used to run fine.  Now it does not.... so its not as easy as I hoped initially.   Every single copy on every device I have copied this to has the same behavior now..... so its not just one thing infected it;  it has always been that way.

EWBF is widely used in pirated game cracks to create mining botnets, so maybe Microsoft decided to flag it as malicious in a recent Defender update.
Just because Defender suddenly flags it does not mean it actually is malicious.

HI.
One of my A 900 baikal does not see one of the blade.
When I(pool) change the algorithm from 11 to any other, one of the blades does not see =(
Why?
Another one A 900 works fine.
wrong thread.  please go to the baikal thread as you have a hardware, not a pool problem =)

D3's can mine any X11 which we currently have 60 X11 coins on the pool. It mines what it feels it can get the best profitability from. They're not just for DASH.

Can u explain me how to do that please?
This is one example :

Coin to mine : ( name ) Ozzie (symbol ) OZC
Algo : X11
My exchange Ozzie address : XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
My exchange Bitcoin address : LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Your example config : -o stratum+tcp://.mine.zpool.ca:#xnsub -u [-p c=,]

D3 input fields are :
URL :
Worker :
Password :

Thank you
Cheers

OK, this is the second time we will be giving you the same answer.  See my bold highlights above.

Your device mines in this pool on an algorithm, not on one specific coin.

Pick the algo (in this case X11),
put in the information to connect to the X11 port (URL+port): stratum+tcp://x11.mine.zpool.ca:3533#xnsub

Now;  pick your payout type:  Pick which coin you want to be paid out in.  I HIGHLY SUGGEST BTC, NOT AN ALTCOIN.  Put that payout wallet address in the username field.

Now based on what algo you are mining (X11) and what wallet type you are getting payed in, you need to update your password to reflect that:  I.E.   c=BTC,X11

YOU CAN NEVER PICK WHAT COIN THE POOL WILL WORK ON MINING.  THE POOL WILL ALWAYS PICK ON ITS OWN.  YOU ONLY PICK WHAT COIN THE POOL WILL PAY YOU IN.

I want to start using Zpool and need some help to make sure I do it correctly.

I'm going to rent from nicehash and mine Scrypt coins, and get paid in BTC.

1) I also would like to be able to monitor balances.. available, unconfirmed, paid, etc.. But I don't see anyway to register an account? (On the front it says no reg required, but I see people talking about their unpaid balances, etc. in this thread so there must be a way to monitor how much you have earned.)

2) What's the payout structure for the scrypt coin switching port? Exponential, proportional, PPLNS, etc.?

3) Where are the servers located? Nicehash has US and EU servers. Might as well choose the closest I can.

4) The hashrate is going to be quite high.. Anywhere from 10 GH/s to possibly several TH/s. How do I not mess up difficulty?

5) Nicehash doesn't always play nice with every pool.. I want to make sure I avoid the pitfalls of nicehash + zpool.

6) What are the exact steps to do this so I don't mess it up and wind up mining x11, having a -70% delta or losing all my coins in a random catastrophe?
I added numbers to answer.

1) no need to register an account;  just have a payout account (see above about BTC recommendation and on zpool.ca frontpage) and use it as a username.  it will wipe if not used for over 6mo and be forfeit.  plenty of time to mine enough to claim a payout.  You click the wallet tab on top, and input your wallet payout address to see the current stats.

2)PPLNS.  We are all paid our % share for everything we worked on.... once a block is found, our % is reset for the next block.  Deltas upon disconnect only last a few min.  Crackfoo may know the exact number, probably not though... its a part of the main pool yiimp code.

3) North America... I think US, possibly Canada.

4) leave difficulty alone;  stratum will handle it.  you would need to set difficulty in the password field such as: c=BTC,scrypt,d=1000

5) Zpool plays nice with nicehash

6)
URL: stratum+tcp://scrypt.mine.zpool.ca:3433
USER: [BTC Wallet Address]
PASS: C=BTC,scrypt

Above SUb BTC with AUR, DASH, Etc..... I just recommend BTC because the pool wont have to mine enough to pay you, as well as sell a share of those earned payout coins others did in order to pay them as well....  hopefully you can grasp what I am advocating.    Altcoins are regularly delayed if they are high diff or high in demand.

you choose algo, pool serves you coins to mine, you can only pick in which currency to be paid, if you want to mine only OZC, find another pool or mine it solo yourself.

best payout option is in BTC.

3:  you do not choose what coins you mine.  you only receive workunits for that algo.  The coin selection is strictly for what you wish to be payed in;  which BTC is highly recommended.

Can you clarify please?  As I read D3 miners were not able to mine any other X11 coins, except Dash, because Dash was fixed in it's hardware.

You are saying that  zpool choose the most profitable coin, but how zpool can iflluece D3's predestination  for mining only Dash?

Dear dev pool,
I mined a mount of ELM coin and I added ELM wallet address (EKyqXkB5yxdexouAy2esVnfTs7sPmkSY16). On the pool page, I got totally 1914.32587887 XVG, but until now I haven't received any coin on my ELM wallet.
And then I added another one  ELM wallet address (EHMhcVQf3sKDYeg48c9DbkmvoQVik4cH9H) and mined also. I got about 95 XVG  but no coin be paid to my wallet.
Please show me how can I take my coin!
Thanks alot

ok.

You dod not follow the directions on the zpool.ca main page.

you must specify in the password that your wallet address is an ELM address... i.e. c=ELM.
you must verify that our pool indeed does mine ELM, and enough to meet your payout amounts to pay you out for your credits.  I personally have no clue as I don't recognize the coin ID myself.

the two wallet addresses you provided made the pool default to XVG;  which is not ELM;  thus;  you would need an XVG private key for the address: EHMhcVQf3sKDYeg48c9DbkmvoQVik4cH9H to spend those XVG funds as an example.
There's no way to recover what you have mined in that address otherwise.

Please re-read the main zpool.ca homepage and read the important details about setting the password and claiming payment in anything other than BTC.

Awesome.  If not;  its gotta be one of the ones from the EWBF thread on this site... only two places I would have got it from.

Its only one machine that gave me an alert for it strangely.

I think I remember it coming from a megaupload link;  I'm not sure if you used mega back when you uploaded entire packages.

*sorry for cluttering crackfoo, ill be starting a new thread shortly to move this discussion if it needs to be continued in depth...

Possibly, or one earlier version.  I am going to put it in a sandbox and get the file and version details so we can all be on the same page.

I know I used a few miner versions such as the skien spmod and alexis78, but I don't recall if I used the ewbf or one from your scripts 'pull' links off your github.

We can compare notes; and in no way was I trying to point any fingers or employ something I don't know FYI.  Once I had more info past a detection warning from defender on a miner the other day; I planned to make more contact to be sure nobody else was effected.

I have 0.00457101 in my total unpaid, yet there was no payout today.   Is there something wrong with payouts?  Also what happen to hashtap?

I show a payment in BTC 23 hours ago... Are you seeing the same?

I was paid shortly after I posted.  Thanks
