Precisely, there are always different opinions regarding to how people accept things regarding to your gambling participation, and regarding to that there's also differences in terms of how a person respect someone's privacy, though we know by a fact that most of the time negative impressions coming from other people around us always take place when they learn about your gambling participation,.

Either you are just doing it for entertainment or you are seriously taking it for money. It's up to you if you wanted to share or you want to take it secretly.

Yes you are right that mate everyone of us has the different ways on handling in gambling some of them are like what you said above that they are seeing gambling as a entertainment and for happiness only while other gambler career thier gambling cause they put thier mind that they can earn a lot of money in gambling  that's why they get into addicted because of the reason of aiming more money.

Just not for the view, but gambling today is being highlighted in my country. Yes, the authorities are currently monitoring online casinos in my country. they catch a lot of gambling influencers and close all illegal casinos here. because some of the illegal casinos are very massive and offer their products to minors. Some of them very blatantly sell the product to schools and children's play areas, so the authorities intervened and closed all their activities without warning.

Yes, everyone has their own views about gambling, some consider gambling negative and some consider gambling just to entertain themselves, gambling still raises pros and cons in this society. When we gamble, emotional feelings will just appear when we lose or win, that's natural, so what you say is true, we should just keep quiet and keep it a secret from others, because it's a matter of privacy and not everyone can accept it. gamble.

There so nothing bad if we can keep our gambling habits from people that can be obsessed with gambling. We need to know the kind of region that we are so that we can know how to do things in a way that most people will not see our as a bad or black egg. The people hiding their involvement to hide their winning from the gambling.But I don’t suggest the gamblers to hid their involvement or winning from the gambling.The reason to hide the involvement because some weak minded gamblers may addicted by seeing the huge winning from the gambling.Some gamblers will keep playing in the gambling till they liquidity reduce to zero,their may be continuous gambling after the winnings.Once the strategy of the gambler give them huge money,they will get some ego.They are supreme gambler.so all their guess will success.Until the gambler loss entire money,he won’t accept the win by luck.

There are ones who dont really like on sharing up things publicly or even into family members on which they would really be that deciding on making those gambling movements or dealing or activity which it would be really in secret but frankly or honestly then there's no much that of an issue if you do play gambling because gambling is a form of entertainment and something that do really talks about enjoyment of a certain individual.
Its true that they do really that generalize things up on which the people around you would really be that having those kind of impressions that gambling could mess out someones life on dealing with it and this is why they would really be having that kind of belief on their minds that it is really that something that should really be avoided in the first place. Overall, there are people who dont really care at all on what other people would be saying basing up on whats he had been dealing on with since its his money. Even myself would really be having that kind of treatment on which you would really be that not caring on what other people would be saying as long you do such things on your own decisions and basing up with your interest. You cant really just let other people would really be the ones who would hinder you on doing so just because you are really that afraid
on what things that they might be able to say.

In my case, I'm not hiding it literally, it's just that I'm not vocal about my gambling activities since I know what people might think if they know what I'm into. I may not be an addict towards gambling but that is the thing, it will not make any difference at all if someone will know as in most instances, they will automatically think that you're a bad influence and an addict even if you're not.

I think the fact that you may even feel the need to hide is enough proof that you shouldn't do it. If you have to hide your gambling you should ask yourself what am I doing that requires hiding, and should I do it. Too many people find reasons for it, and they still do it, but excuses do not really cover you.

You should not gamble at all if you have to hide it, that is the proof that it's a bad thing for you. I am not hiding it, I gamble and love it but I can limit my losses and stop whenever I want to and that has been the case for nearly 10 years now. That is proof enough that I could end up doing alright, and should be doing alright. I think it would be a lot more important to continue that way without a problem.

in this concept I will look more at how the gambling addict is and if the gambling addict has not reached a high level in terms of addiction I am sure they can hide their gambling activities but for gambling addicts who have reached the highest level in terms of addiction I think they will have difficulty hiding their gambling activities because they only think about gambling without thinking about any anonymity in their lives and think about how to get money to be able to gamble continuously and end up loan money from other people who indirectly tell them about their gambling activities.

The OP stated things like belief and other societal factors that could result to such discrimination. It doesn't matter if the player is good or not, once everyone or family members discovers s/he engage in gambling activities the player will be seen as an irresponsible person. I've experience situations where gamblers are condemned to an extent that, when they go broke people around them refer to gamble as the primary cause of it. These societal attitudes are enough to make a gambler hide their gambling behavior. Definitely, a lot of people will celebrate when the player wins big, it's normal whenever we win people celebrates. Yet it doesn't remove the doubt that a gambler is wasting their money, especially when judged from the perspective of non gamblers. However, in those days before the institution of online gambling it was difficult to keep this a secret. Unlike today, players can carryout bets and nobody around them will know unless they open up to them; family and friends. We are advised to play responsibly and also take care of our other daily activities, even if we gamble, it shouldn't affect the next person who depends on the money for other things. Maybe we have different views on gambling. But it seems to me that for society it doesn't matter if you are a good gambler or if you have an addiction and lose all the time, you will still cause bad emotions because of gambling. What you say is true, there are some people who think that gambling is a negative behavior, but if we gamble in a good and correct way then we will actually get a profit.

Keeping gambling a secret? Are only for the professionals who basically knows how to hide things discreetly without anyone noticing. Some gamblers deserved an award because they kept everything they do hidden, not even acknowledge the fact to tell any gambler because it's definitely weigh down the trend. Addiction is another crucial disadvantage for the gambler's because they will never stop until they liquidate their accounts and will also triggered any move for preventive measures, rather they tend to stick at doing basically what make then happy.

I think there are positions or jobs that might require you to hold a lot of money and so not saying that you will steal something, but if you are a gambler there could be some temptations.
That's why if you work on that job, it's better not to gamble or not to show it to others.

Of course everyone can manage their gambling activity or worst become a gambling addict. But there could be consequences when you have something to protect and then you still go and play and gamble, IMHO.

A man who gamble irresponsibly may simply want to hide the fact that he’s gambling irresponsibly. And when it’s hidden from friends and family that could talk some sense into him, it would gradually turn into an addiction and when it gets to that point, it then becomes not so easy to hide anymore.

Asides from being an irresponsible person who could spend money budgeted for something really important and after losing out, would in shame, try to hide what actually happened to the money and perhaps also for religious purposes, I see no reason on why someone, despite being responsible enough when gambling would want to hide the fact from anyone.

It is true the stigma against gambling still exist, after all when people think of casinos the first thing that comes to their minds are the old-school casinos which were full of unsavory people, and as such gamblers were assumed to have the same moral standard.

However I think things are slowly improving, as now gambling is associated as just another activity that you may do with your smartphone when you are bored and many people began to gamble this way due to the pandemic.

On the time that you've been known that you are engaging with gambling or having that kind of activity then they would really be having that bad views on you which its not something that i do really like.

Myself would really be keeping it as a secret but actually there's nothing i do need to worry considering that i do only play on online casinos on which no one would really be able to know that you are really that doing gambling and even if they do? then its none of their business since its your money that had been used not theirs. If you dont really mind on other peoples words or wont really be that easily cry out then there's no thing that you should worry on. Gambling is for fun and not something that would really be

They wanted to play in peace and without the criticism of anyone, though there are different approach in terms of gambling activities maybe there are some who are open and not caring to whatever other people will speak behind their back, and for some, it's better to keep your gambling activities on your own and minding your own business will allow you to freely play and enjoy whatever game you are involved with, different perspectives and different overviews and opinions.

^^ I think even in this era in general people actually do not see gambling as a good act. That’s why a lot of people do not want to admit that they are gamblers. They understand that if they tell this to others, they might actually talk a lot of trash. It is better if they do not introduce those problems in their life. I bet they just want to gamble in peace. And sometimes when people are starting, they lose a lot of money. So they do not want other people to know that they are losing money as well. And that is also the reason why some people will never show the transaction history to others just like you said. I also definitely think that it is better to not gamble with the money that people earn by doing hard work.
