Its good initiative by KFC, Now even there small bucket of fried chicken will give more returns from last fiscal year

Fried chicken chain KFC Canada is accepting bitcoin – for a limited time and for a cryptocurrency-themed bucket of chicken, that is.

The limited-time marketing move sees the Canada-based chain advertising "The Bitcoin Bucket" complete with a Facebook-based live-tracker of the standing price for the product, which works out to roughly 20 Canadian dollars depending on the exchange rate with bitcoin.

That said, you can't exactly walk into a KFC location in Canada and pay with crypto at the cash register.

Instead, the company is accepting Bitcoin via BitPay as one of the options through an online check-out page. The Bitcoin Bucket will be delivered directly to the customer's address (the product also carries a $5 fee), according to the check-out process on its website.

This is a good idea though , I'm smiling cause the future of bitcoin is closer and closer , opening different opportunities just like this , now I wanted to visit canada and experience it though. And I know someday too apple and samsung technically cooperate with bitcoin , and sooner or later bitcoin will be an currency that will be use.

I can not imagine what it would be like if we were starving and we had to wait for the conformation of the blockchain. then the food we ordered we can not enjoy yet. maybe this will be very inefficient.

I think the idea is cool, but the performance is lame. Was the survey conducted on the target audience. Consumers of the wings of Colonel Saunders have bitcoins generally?

This is really a great news for people like us in the crypto world. I'm quite jealous of the canadians they got to try Crypto KFC before I did. Anyway I think this is a first step to pave the way to a future where crypto is the king of payment.

I really love to see bitcoin in action where some entities are accepting it as payment for their goods or services. Transaction may be fast and convenience is guaranteed on both ends but i just wonder how they will handle the payment if this entity will go offline.

This is how bitcoin nowadays are commonly use as payment in other fast food chain who are accepting payments by using bitcoin digital money currency. Like KFC Canada they accept bitcoin for payment in fried chicken.Through this success and convenience payment transaction we all hope that a lot of fast food chain and restaurants accepted also bitcoin for as  payment.

Bitpay accepts BTC.  KFC uses Bitpay.  KFC probably get it converts into $ straight away and Bitpay keeps the BTC.

Wow this is good. I hope the likes of McDonald's, Starbucks and etc would follow. I think this is only a test run only. Hope KFC would implement it.

Wow, this is great news! Things like this might be the future of currency all over the world and will totally change everything in regards to payment methods.
this step is the answer of progress, KFC I think very aware of the progress of crypto. these steps should be followed by other franchises. It may be McD, Starbucks or something similar.

If I understand this correctly, this was just a trial run and not something permanent. I am very curious what the end result

of this experiment was. If you believe the Reddit comments, then this was a huge success, but I have no way to validate

these comments. Can someone in Canada approach them to find out if they are going to do this again and if it was a

successful experiment? {Most people are saying it was a publicity stunt?}  Roll Eyes

It would be great and handy for someone because they can now eat and travel around the globe without bringing so much money for accommodation. But the thing that can be a problem is that the security of the method of payment for the service as well as the fast changes in the price of bitcoin. Many would still hold bitcoin due to the probability of it growing in a short span of time.

This is clearly a good news, this means that the bitcoin has been more and more people know, but now use the bitcoin for payment is still not too realistic, The KFC should need to wait for a long time will only receive the bitcoinBTC.

It is indeed a very good initiative, as bitcoin is here to stay and it is going strong with each passing day. Many financial institutions and shopping malls have already started accepting bitcoin and the number is growing with each passing day.
