I am not sure that KFC officially started accepting crypto payments yet or not but since these food chain organisations appoint franchises, some franchise might have started accepting payments in Bitcoin. After all, the payment collection is the job of the franchise and thus they might be in a position to accept payments in a way they want. I don't think that there is any restriction from the parent organisation in this regard.

Yes we heard this news a few months ago. I think KFC Canada just wants to take advantage of the Bitcoin hype to promote their place at that time. Although previously he also has many products and places that can use Bitcoin as a means of payment.

I think that is good news to us because I think that is the beginning of all. If Canada accept it it can be legal worldwide and for me Canada knows that they can get the benefits of accepting bitcoin as a payment.
I don't really see an impact it will create or even drive the market. KFC is just one company and they only enabled bitcoin payment. Am pretty sure that it will be the least used currency for them. I would not be rejoicing hard about that, but this for me means that we are heading a proper direction with our cryptocurrencies. The more companies would claim to accept cryptocurrencies the more chance of global acceptance we would have.

That is quite awesome news. One big establishment finally started to accept bitcoin. I hope more establishments gets influenced by KFC's move and would do the same thing as well. Soon bitcoin will be commonly used by people and might become a rival with fiat currency.
