KFC in our country does not accept bitcoin as a payment. In the event that it can be paid by bitcoin in KFC or different stores the world, this will be the initial phase in the day by day life of bitcoin. With individuals bit by bit perceiving bitcoin. So the cost of bitcoin will rise. In spite of the fact that it is down at this point. In any case, I trust that bitcoin will rise once more.

Do you guys think this is going to be huge for cryptocurrency or just a KFC marketing scheme?
Now that you mention it, I'm considering it might be just a witty marketing scheme. I don't think it can benefit us instead, it can make us pay more when using that service than using fiat as payment. Somewhat a good news at a first look but it's really not.

I think so too because there was a post about mcdonalds wanting to do the same thing and we still waiting.
I'll believe it when I see it.

This KFC action is not that important. It's like a Show and this doesn't reflect bitcoin's mass adoption.

And this is very limited in united states I think. We should see more from fast food companies.

Ok, If it's true..
Who try buy KFC for bitcoin? or this joke Grin
KFC don't know how works bitcoin..
Confirmation tx is a long now..

You cant go into a physical location to buy it, you have to pay for it online using bitpay. Then you will have to pay for shipping $5 to have it sent to your house.

You're right, we will be just paying them more than the real price when you go to their store, considering the transaction fees of bitcoin which are high because of the value of bitcoin but it still depends on what transaction you're going to make. I think if they can fix these fees it will be a good news after all.

Nice, hopefully this is true, Ive seen some stores and casinos that accept Bitcoin but never a fast food store. I hope this opens up more stores to accept different cryptos in a future. But with this high fees and at this price of the coin, paying for a bucket of chicken with Bitcoin you are either rich and dont take, or really hungry and have no money.

If this is true and be successful I know other fast food and shopping stores will adopt also and this would  be good to crypto market as a whole

Ofcourse yes, Bitcoin will be accepted by other markets, stores and industries as mode of payment. If KFC already accepted bitcoin, Well, McDonalds and other stores will also open Bitcoin in their list. Bitcoin will be more popular if it is already listed. It would be a better news for bitcoin users.

That’s just beginning, I hope and I believe in future one kind of coin will be accepted. Maybe it is bitcoin, but maybe it another replacement coin. As more and more people recognize it and it will feel more popular. They are going to be richer and richer. Lets go order in kfc using our btc. I think its good too.

What about the transaction charges and time to get even 1 confirmation, either all double spenders should attack KFC now or people are really dumb using bitcoin for food.  Sad

Right now it cant be a regular currency, still lots of things has to be evolved.

The money has to be sent through bitpay, so it wont confirm until it has at least 3.

Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

It is indispensable to want to grow, to bless bitcoin!
