Very nice gesture.  Cool
+1 for single worldwide orders.  Wink
I bet your international orders will grow up rapidly, when you decide to sell single piece for EU/international orders.

Omfg this is like the single most beautiful thing I have ever been able to see  Shocked

Been watching the pics for like 1 hour and still discovering new things on them.
Only problem is that I currently don't have the funds available to buy 5 of them, and even 1 would be quite a hit on my balance Tongue

haha, thanks kuusj98. pm me your mailing address. I'm sending you one as a Christmas gift. I missed Reddit's Secret Santa 2014 so you're it  Grin

That's awesome of you! You should consider selling them separate. I'm having the same problem as Kuusje. I want one really bad but I can't afford 5 of them Sad. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for shipment (to Holland).

Breaking the glass to get at the private key is not necessarily needed.. the screws can be tapped. It would require patience and a steady hand with threads that small. Tap & drill sets are pretty cheap.

I won't be opening mine. (unless we get into crazy money territory, then mayyybe)

In response to the last few posts:

I created these with the idea that they would never be opened. If one did need to get inside they could break the glass and cut out the private key as shown in this example: https://i.imgur.com/Q7F7c2A.jpg

However, I do not recommend this, as the glass is tempered and shatter-proof. So you can't just break it, you would actually need to pry it off in pieces. The drilled out screw heads & Loctite are to prevent tampering.

Please consider these artworks first, cold storage second. I like to think of the 'bits' as a medium in each piece, intended to stay with the piece.

Something I've learned from experience is that if you must destroy something to access your bitcoins, you tend to hold onto them.

Well this is very interesting. Indeed I do consider this an art piece as it is amazing.
Also as an cold storage option it is amazing as well due to the way it was built. I do not intend to break/open mine I was just curious.

You'll have to break it down  Sad

I think there is no other way, but why would one do that ?
Well I'm not saying that I would break it down. I'm asking how it was created. Is there somewhere inside a private key or something?

As far as I k ow the private key is inside however the only way to open it is to disassemble it but the screws need to be heated a lot before they can be opened.
Alternatively it can always be broken but why break a piece of art?
