Due to Lauda hitting me with False Negative Trust Ratings, and the fact Theymos continues to allow her to abuse others Trust ratings at her whim.  I expressed my considerable displeasure at such incompetence by the BTCTalk Admin/Theymos his staff and Lauda.

To which my only real reply from them from a 30 day ban, where I was unable to update this snapshot service.

So this entire forum has become unreliable , so my snapshot service is moving forever.

ZEIT Snapshot is less than 10 days old, you should be able to sync that in less than an hour or two.

Bitbean is now updated to 4-04-2017.

You may want to post in the Mint forum, and ask them for a recent bootstrap, this snapshot on my site is from last year , and I have tried updating it , but the wallet has so many orphans that updating was proving more time consuming that what I could dedicate to it.

I have been waiting for them to release their new wallet , in hope that the orphan sync problem would be gone.

Sure , the snapshot just saves you the time of having to sync the blockchain from scratch.
After it is fully synced from your PC, you use it normally.

Uploading the Updated Snapshot right now, check the download site in 1½ hour from now and download the blackcoinblockchainsnapshot-2017-3-22,
it will sync in a few minutes after installing.

Last Blackcoin snapshot was 4 months ago, so it would probably take ~8 to 12 hours to sync after installing it.

However since you asked about it, I am syncing it now, and will update this post , when the snapshot is at today's date,
It will take less than 1 hour to sync with that one, if you can wait.

ZEIT by itself will use a little over ~1GB of ram, if the system does not have at least 2 GB, it is probably going to be more trouble than success.
(System is probably Page Thrashing (http://www.geekinterview.com/question_details/3333) )


 

Today zeitcoind getinfo tells me that it has indexed 1500 Blocks. This seems to me a neverending Story.
I stopped it and start it new with bootstrap.dat .
By watching the content of debug.log it seems to be  a slow but continous process. I will try this.

The System ist a Rapsberry PI 3 with 1GB Ram.

Should be , check back in ~24 hours , and I will have an updated ZEIT snapshot to today's date.
If that updated snapshot fails, you could use the updated bootstrap instead.
(How much ram is in your system?)

Hello, is the Snapshot usable with zeitcoind ? (The Commandline Version)
I tried it, but after 1 Day it seems to be stuck at 500 Blocks

A bootstrap.dat file allows a new wallet (not synced) to rapidly import the initial blocks from a local file instead of slowly downloading blocks from random peers
across the internet. Since you are pulling the blocks from your hard drive it is much faster than using the internet.
However when importing blocks the wallet does have to verify every block, which means a 2 or 3 year old chain can take a few days to import and tie up your memory & processor while verifying the blocks.

A Snapshot is a copy of the entire Wallet Database at the time the snapshot was made, it will already include any database directories & all database files.
It can be downloaded from the internet and it will start syncing from where it was created, without having to re verify and recreate the other database files & directories.
If you download & install a snapshot only created a day or so ago, after installing the snapshot it will be less than 1 hour before your wallet is synced and running.

Pros:
Snapshot will always be faster, as no re-verification of blocks is done.
Bootstrap will always be a smaller download, since it does not include all of the database files, just the one needed for the bootstrap.dat .

Cons:
Snapshots will always be a Bigger Download.
Bootstraps will always take more time to re-verify the blocks and tie up your PC.

Thanks Kiklo for these SnapShots of the BlockChains. 

I just started giving interest in BitBean (BITB). So, I want to know the minimum block size of BitBean for sprouting this coin. Can you recomanded the minimum BlockSize of BitBean?

As I reccommand the minimum BlockSize of SproutsCoin (SPRTS) is 150K. If you remain open and online Sprouts (SPRTS) wallet daily for 4-5 hours the blocks with 150K can easily mint in 10-20 days. The blocks smaller than 150K (i.e. 100K or 80,000 etc.) will also mint, but it will take more time to mint i.e. 30-40 days. Similarly the blocks bigger than 200K will mint in less than 10 days.
And the posotive side of Sprouts is that every blocks mint even a block with 50,000 coins, but it will take around 50-55 days. And you get exact @ 2% daily.

If a block with 150K SPRTS mints after 15 days you will get 45,000 SPRTS (@3,000 daily for 15 days). And the block will be splited into two parts, i.e. two blocks with 97,500 SPRTS each [(150,000 + 45,000) / 2] unlikely PayCoin (XPY), the blocks of XPY doesnot get splited, you get minted amount in a new "Custom Change Address".

Actually, I considered it, but at this point no real need for a web site., may never need one.

How to install a Bootstrap.dat file

After downloading and uncompressing the rar file  ,

Start up your new Wallet software,
after it opens, then Close it, (In windows , this allows the new wallet to create the folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere )

Copy the bootstrap.dat file in the folder c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere (for Windows) or in the WalletNameHere data folder for other OSes. Now Start the New Wallet to import the BootStrap.dat , (Depending on your PC and the size of the bootstrap , this can take many hours) (You can watch the progress of the import by opening the folder c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\WalletNameHere and watch the blk0001.dat file size to see how close it is to the bootstrap.dat to get a feel for how much longer it might be)  once finished it will then begin synchronization to retrieve any blocks found after the Bootstrap was created. (Tech Note, the wallet does not completely Open until it finishes the Import.)

Bootstraps can dramatically decrease the time required to sync a new wallet, especially one that is over a year old.
The only thing faster is a Blockchain Snapshot , which is currently the fastest way to sync a coin.

This Bootstrap service is basically free, we would appreciate it if the people running the OPs would place a link to us here, that frees them from the tedious work of keeping a bootstrap updated where they can focus their time on more important matters, and in exchange we will update their Bootstrap on a ~ 2 monthly basis.
