i advise you to incest a little bit. because you learn faster when you invest. but dont invest too much. maybe a few hundred bucks is even enough. and try to use that money to trade altcoins in the market and try daily trades as well.
As starters it really prudent for us to learn before investing since that will make us appreciate crypto power much, learning and investing should be done hand in hand since you cannot get all the knowledge before starting to invest.

You should learn until you're good at it! and how can you understand that you're good at it? when it happens, you'll feel it! It happens differently and takes a different amount of time. Just look at the charts, read news and discussions in the forum. Good luck!

Absolutely do both of them if you just learn without trying what can you got? Nothing. Just try for investing or do a day trading as well you already learn enough.
Also need to be carefully while pick a project that want to invest in, because for now all projects look same, scams and real estate make no difference. They are so proficient in words, don't get stuck with the beautiful words they promised.
In order to avoid plagiarism aur abusers bounty seriously needs them because I am in this campaign from last some time and they are facing scam.
The best solution is to do both. You need to learn the basics, before start investing in projects, like funds diversification and so on. But without real investment, you will not learn a lot. Learning by doing is the best method to understand this market.
My advice dont invest until you dont know the real system in crypto , you can read some reviews about it and seek some advice from others so that before investing you are well knowledgable aboit this system.

If you are newbie in this field the best thing you need to do is to gather information about cryptocurrencies and to learn about it. Once you have enough knowledge about you can really earn good profit. Just start to invest in learning than earning simply because knowledge is your best weapon to make good profit. 
For a beginner, it is better to earn and hone your skills. You can work in the bounty or airdrops in social networks. With the best of luck, it’s not a bad thing to make money if you approach it wisely. You need to learn from others and sometimes on your mistakes then there will be progress. With over time, earnings increase and never stop at that.
The best option for you is going both activities, because you should apply your knowledges and start practise.

As a Novice in the past, I can recommend to start with a bounty and then, as you learn, choose what is closer to you trade or something else.
