Coin of View Compare Feature

I particularly like the 'Compare cryptocoins' feature of this site. Very innovative. Compare any number of supported coins side-by-side (click on pic to go there)

Press CTRL ALT DEL , click Start Task Manager , click the Processes Tab and if you see kobocoin, highlight it and then click End Process.
Then restart the wallet to see if it works, if not the try the below steps.

Download the snapshot
You will need a program that can uncompress rar files, example:  http://rarlabs.com/download.htm

ACTIVE Wallet:Install Instructions , (Be sure to have a backup of your Wallet.dat 1st)
Make sure Kobocoin is closed
Go under c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Kobocoin (for Windows) or in the Kobocoin data folder for other OSes
Then Delete 4  files :  .lock & blk0001.dat & db.log & debug.log
Then Delete 2 folders named : database & txleveldb
Then Rename kobocoin.conf to oldkobocoin.conf,
Then Extract and copy the files from KobocoinBlockchainSnapshot into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Kobocoin
(If you had made custom changes to kobocoin.conf, rename kobocoin.conf to defaultkobocoin.conf and rename your oldkobocoin.conf back to kobocoin.conf)
Then open Kobocoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

Once your Kobocoin Wallet is completely Synced.
Check your Balance, if the Balance is incorrect.
Click on Help, click Debug Window, click Console,
type in repairwallet and hit enter, then check your Balance
If Balance is still not correct.
Then From a Command Prompt run kobocoin-qt.exe -rescan 
will take a little while but should correct your balance info.

If it does work right after the snapshot, but then gives the St13 error the next time you open the wallet then something is corrupting your blockchain.
Things that can cause this are a hard drive going bad , or bad AC power fluctuations.
But I would try it on a different system, just to see if you have the same problem.

What OS are you running?
How much Ram is in it?
Which Antivirus are you using?
What Country are you in? 
(Countries with low humidity have more problems with static electricity playing havoc with Computers.)

A quick update on Twitter activity

Tipping continues but at a slow pace. Too many tips at one time is seen as spamming. I don't want the account suspended. It got suspended for almost 24hrs on Saturday after I blasted out 500 tips in a matter of hours. Lesson learnt!

Good news from another angle is that the price ticker is getting a good number of retweets. That's very positive. I'll be tipping genuine retweets, likes and follows with 100 KOBO from tomorrow. Direct tipping is a lot more successful as there's already acknowledgement by the person at the other end.

Even in tipping there's scamming. I've been getting tip requests. Multiple accounts by the same people. You can see the signs. Patterns in their tweeting! It's another person aware of KOBO so I'll not complain (but I won't be tipping them).

I also have the rss scheduled feeds running as well so the twitter account now looks very healthy and active, and is acquiring new followers every day.

what i did was
first I renamed my roaming/Kobo folder then removed kobo coin from C/Program files then downloaded the complete installed and ran it then made .conf file then started wallet

the wallet fully synced over night with 3 connections to network
i closed the wallet now when i open it i get the error and wallet will not run

St13 error means the blockchain you downloaded was corrupt.

Where did you download the blockchain from?

Try my Bootstrap.dat file instead, and follow the instructions on how to install is on the 2nd post.

Created a BlockChain Snapshot for Kobocoin, it passed my internal tests,
But Wait until TheTribesman gives the All Clear before using the SnapShot.

Hi, try clearing out the appdata\roaming\Kobocoin directory and see if it will start syncing. I have not personally tried using the blockchain download. It may be causing this issue.

If you have coins in your wallet, please backup wallet.dat before you start

Account is active again. I'll be tweeting 100 tips per hour to hopefully keep within limits.

UPDATE

OK, so I hit a limit.

I got 300 tips tweeted and hit a twitter daily limit. The full daily limit is 2400, but I was only able to get 300 out so I'm guessing I can get started again in about 6 hours.

So far with just under 2 hours work of manually tweeting (yes, manually copying, pasting, and hitting send), I've already received a number of retweets from the people I was hoping to reach. An example is shown below:

With endorsements from prominent and prolific individuals like @cute_stiffler, Kobocoin can get the right attention in the market

I'm hoping that many more social media industry bloggers and promoters will also help give Kobocoin some brand recognition in the mobile finance arena.

One thing I wasn't expecting is that I've also been receiving requests for tips since I started tweeting at 10am. Anyone requesting a tip will get one (as long as they follow @Kobocoindev!). I will be updating the list as the day goes on so that no user is let untipped.

I'm hoping this will take Kobocoin's reach out into the real world. If this all leads to an increase in trading volume, then it may even be possible one day to approach, say, a phone network and discuss KOBO twitter tips being used to buy phone credit. That will definitely be a positive development.

Can you add on bittrex again?

I'll be starting the tweets from 10a.m which is the optimal starting time in this timezone (it's actually 11am-1pm on Saturday, but lots to do). Sending them out at 2am (local time here right now) is not really efficient for the timezone I'm targeting.
