It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency,
since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site;
Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in -
your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency
so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.
Thanks. Very interesting! And we're not going anywhere. We have very long term plans. We also have immediate developments that we hope to get out not too long after launch (within the first 3 months). We have a continuous development plan. We intend to make a flying start and make it hard for others to catch up.

Kobocoin Block Explorer is now online. The genesis block was mined by the developers during testing but no activity since then. Block Explorer : http://blockchain.kobocoin.com
The last piece of the puzzle is the Android wallet. It's scheduled to be available for launch but it will be close (and might not make it). I should know by next Thursday/Friday 29/30 Jan.
With or without the Android handset, the PoW launch is not affected. The provisional launch date of Jan 31st 07:00 should be confirmed by the end of the weekend.
I've spent the last few days playing with mobile wallets. You should try one if you haven't. There are many mobile crypto wallets. Download one, get a friend to download one, and send a crypto back and forth. Then you'll see how versatile the mobile wallets are.
Kobocoin Tricker symbol : KOBO Algo- X15/pow/Pos timings of block in seconds 60 coins per block- 1000 Pos reward per year - 10% Max stake age - no max Min stake age- 24 hours 50 comfimations required for mined blocks. 6 comfimations required for transactions.
I've updated the launch schedule. The 3 decryption keys will be tweeted at the same time, in the correct order. It's not possible to get 4 decryption keys in the same tweet so the Windows/Linux wallets will be bundled in the same distribution.
1. On launch day, I will not be posting updates to this thread from 06:00 until probably well after the launch. I think it's best to keep communications going via tweets and retweeting. All important information will be readily available on the @kobocoindev twitter feed.
2. At 06:30 I'll start uploading the software and posting the links on twitter (minus the decryption keys)
TWEETS: Link to Kobocoin Source code Link to Kobocoin Linux/Windows wallet Link to Kobocoin Mac Wallet
You can use the links that are tweeted to have a window open ready for the decryption keys
3. At 06:50 I will start Bubba, to mine first ten blocks to make sure everything's working. This is Bubba (Bubba!). It has a broken GPU (only 2 GPU's still online) and lives in my attic/loft. It will be retired permanently once it's switched off for the last time on launch day.
4. 10 blocks will be mined to confirm everything is working. These 10,000 kobocoins will be used for a giveaway on Twitter, Facebook, and BitcoinTalk. The first users who post a screenshot of a request for coins (including QR code) taken from their mobile handset will be sent kobocoins. The QR code will be scanned and kobocoins sent. BitcoinTalk members will be given a double allocations as it's a lot harder to post an image on BitcoinTalk. This is to encourage mobile wallet usage. All giveaway winners usernames (Twitter/Facebook/BitcoinTalk) will be posted on this thread. Full details of the giveaway will be posted before launch. This is to encourage mobile wallet usage.
The decryption keys will all be in the same tweet, and in the correct order.
6. Unfortunately, the Android wallet is not available for launch.
7. I'll then upload the source code to github.
If details of a pool are tweeted to #kobocoin or @kobocoindev I will retweet it.
I think it might be best to wait 20 mins before tweeting or posting alternative nodes to try and avoid any issues around forking. This is just from experience of a few previous launches. But it's just a guess. Is 20 mins too long? Should it be less? Should it be more? Am I over-thinking everything? Please let me know.
For Kobocoin, we'll be cloud mining, but that means we'll also be waiting for a pool to come online so we can join.
(And for those wondering - yes, Bubba gets a head start unless there's any objections - I reckon I can get 2/3 blocks tops if I'm lucky!).
Any comments? Have I missed something very obvious?
Yep! There are no other species in Africa obviously... Are there any better racist comments please?
I think its not racism are there enough poor people who own a computer in Nigeria ? where I live even poor can get old computer which is capable to run a wallet.... and internet access is almost everywhere
