The wallet doesn't work quite properly.
First time when installed ,after I imported the wallet.dat file, the balance was 0 (ZERO!) KSC.
I was lucky, I always do backups.
I installed the new wallet (C:\Program Files (x86)\Kashmircoin) , then on the C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming I placed the last full updated copy of Kashmircoin
After several minutes, the new wallet started and this time show the good balance.
When a fork occured to other coins, I just replaced the wallet.dat file, not copied the entire folder..
Hmmm I had the same behaviour the other day with the MMXIV v2 (first release) wallet that got upgraded to MMXIV v2 (second release). There I could not import the old wallet either. I first had to let the newest client create it's own empty wallet and then copy my backup up wallet over it...
MMXIV's wallet is very simple, so I don't think the same source code has been used. So it should not be a source code bug? But I agree: I have seen this happen too without explanation (according to MMXIV developer I even was a dirty FUDDER! Sigh...)
So Kashsmir developer... MAYBE just write the installation instructions like that: create fresh wallet with new client. Replace fresh wallet with backup copy.
But again: I did *nothing* special and it just ran! ;p

Thanks for the testing, Devvie:)
Wallet tries to open pages from the site (just as planned, because we wanted it to work as a browser), but it seems that Avast don't like us )
So we don't like avast
We'll investigate it.
About instructions: you're right, i've just updated the main post, and let's post it here:
If you used the old KSC wallet, please follow this steps:
1. Backup your wallet.dat file
Windows:
You can find it in "C:\Users\YOURLOGIN\AppData\Roaming\Kashmircoin"
Mac OS:
You can find it in "YOURLOGIN\Library\Application Support\Kashmircoin"
2. Delete Kashmircoin folder
3. Open your NEW wallet and wait for blockchain to sync (Kashmircoin foder will be created automatically).
4. Replace newly created wallet.dat with the old one.
