To my understanding, KYC simply means "Know your customer". Investors(customers) who participate in ICO are made to go through KYC process before they are even allowed to purchase their tokens. On the other hand, Bounty hunters are just "part time workers" of the project and not customers. Even if they will be made to go through a KYC process, it should be before they start working and not after. Waiting for them to finish working for the project and refusing to pay them because they failed to pass KYC afterwards is a total cheat.
KYC is not to cheat bounty hunters. The concep of KYC is quite simple. As the name goes, Know Your Customer, it means the project must all of its customers, thus all the holders of the token. Bounty hunters invest with their time, internet bundle, and their intelligence to earn the tokens unlike those who invest with their monies. It is therefore right for the project to allow bounty hunters to pass through the KYC process.

for bounty hunters, I don't think it is necessary to use kyc, because when viewed from the aspect of income for bounty hunters it is still very minimal, I agree if we are for large class investors.

If KYC rules are stated from the beginning, then it's not a means to cheat when it looks like a cheating means is when KYC gets introduced at the end of bounty exercise.

After the project finishes, if the devs don't want to pay for the bounty hunters they can make things very hard when the payment date comes. They can ask your KYC procedure and want your passport and bill. If they really intent to don't pay they never accept your KYC documents too. So you work for them everyday, they ask your KYC and after that you still don't get your bounty coins.. That is not fair and i had this problem more than one..

Kyc is really to cheat hunters, if there must be kyc, it should be stated and also you have to pass kyc before you start the bounty, this would be fair, not after doing the bounty, you start the kyc process and at the end they tell you your kyc was failed. And your months of efforts just go like that. Without a pay. This is so painful

Kyc is good so as to eliminate scammers.  But i think where the problems originate from is when they dont say it before the bounty starts. Most bounty managers wait till after the bounty before introducing KYC

Bounty managers always mention in the bounty thread that if KYC is required or not. So, it will not be a issue. If you don't want to participate, leave it. People who are willing to participate, they can. So, how is it a cheating?
most of bounty hunter didnt read bounty rules clearly.and this is be their own fault if someday there is rules that not followed.they did the mistakes but they blamed bounty manager.

As a bounty hunter also there is no bigdeal for me if the company running the ico required me to do a kyc since investors are also passing this process provided they would include it atvthe start of the campaign but if tjey would only required this after the campaign done then that would totally a form of cheating cause not all bounty hunters can provide a kyc and it is not fair for bounty hunters part
That's the common issue regarding to this, bounty hunters are ready to provide if the rules was already been there before the campaign starts but if only added after the campaign it can be a ruin the hunters stake as some members here still wanted to hide their identity and not willing to give any personal
information, they will simply ignores those campaign that will ask them to provide and undergo KYC.

Should be discuss properly before the bounty start not after the work has already been done.

If the rule regarding the necessity of KYC for bounty hunters is stated from the beginning of the campaign, it's okay. but Insisting on KYC after the bounty campaign has ended is what I count as project team trying to cheat bounty hunters.

Sometimes even after passing the KYC, the team will still fail to send you your hard earned tokens. It happened to me some time ago in Endo campaign. I was still not paid my bounty tokens Even after passing KYC
You should consult with the Manager for this problem. I am sure that before the KIC ends you can ensure that the data you provide is correct. then you deserve to get your token.

What makes you say that KYC is just to cheat bounty hunters. i really don't agree with you on this one because even though they may not have specified KYC at the start of the campaign i think it is necessary to do it when the bounty manager suspects that there is some sort of cheating in the campaign. Unless you are cheating yourself i don't see how this is bad for you. In fact it will make honest bounty hunters earn more.

In good bounty campaigns, the conditions for passing KYC are written in advance, if this is announced after the end of the campaign, then you should pay attention to the reasons for such changes, in this case it is worth passing KYC only if you are sure of the reliability of the campaign.

Yeah i already have that experience and it totally frustating. I never like KYC for bounty hunters becuase i doesnt make any sense. We as bounty hunter just promote their project & they chang the rules.
If rules are change after the ICO, then that is them getting shady and they should not be trusted with our information
as most likely this project has no chance to grow in the future. Transparency one of the most important thing in crypto and this start ups project
are here to attract investors and gain our trust, but if they cannot compensate their promoters properly, then I think we can't expect them to deliver success.

I failed once KYC i already wait almost 6 months for my reward. Now my reward is gone forever

For certain projects in line with the financial industry,  kyc would be necessary but most crypto projects which are not in line with this I would say its a waste of time and a risk to your identity!

You have a point mate but the fact is, once you become a holder of the coin, you are considered as a customer and the project needs to know all its token holders(customer). Bounty hunters are normally paid with the tokens of the project and are seen as investors who used not their monies but other forms of resources to earn the tokens.
