Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

This KYC thing is a good measure to prevent multiple signups from one user to be fair to every bounty hunters in getting their rewards. On the ICO side they can ensure that their token is spread out to each individual and ensure that there will not be market manipulation happening. The bad point is the hunters need to do extra step to submit the documents.

The Fourth Generation of Blockchain in DeFi

Cryptocurrency is the phenomenon which is about to turn the world's economy upside down. It is natural that governments want more control over it. We either have to put up and give in or stay away from bounties. But some payments are too good in order not to pass a kyc. We always have a choice and there is nothing to be blamed of.

To tell the truth passing KYC procedure is quite annoying. And the main idea of cryptocurrency is keeping the anonymity. But at the same time this service  allows to verify users and to prevent fraud. I never took part to a bounty at the moment but of course I wouldn't too happy to give away my personal info just for a bounty, maybe at the end I get some tokens that are worth a few dollars and the team, besides my time

I am working for a software editor. When I talk with the finance sector, they are all going for KYC solution. And the regulation at all level require often to be compliant or regarding implementation of new rules in specific sector. Members of the generosity campaign, including those participating in the signature campaign, can not conduct any illegal cash transactions because they do not invest their personal money, thus participating in the ICO campaign

In my opinion, it wouldn't be a problem if the KYC would be made explicitly announced at the start of the ICO campaign. Some people may prefer to send an identity card or passport. I find very strange that the law obliges to ask for the KYC. The participants in the bounty campaigns are not investors, they are not Customers that need to be identified

Why are we even considering KYC for bounties? I get it its to stop the cheaters, but there are lots of other ways to control this. This KYC thing on crypto is very absurd. Because this is the transfer of personal data, and then where are the personal data leaked, who ever thought about it? I've seen and seen a lot of data leaks from companies that deal with KYC.

There are pros and cons. On the one hand, this helps get rid of cheaters and dishonest participants. But at the same time you provide your data which can then be sold to third parties.

I carried out one baunty, in which were many people and remuneration in coins was small, but in the end of the project they decided to make KYC. I passed it and realized that a half of bounty hunters didn’t do that, so that is why l received twice more coins in the end. KYC is good thing for those who carries out baunty honestly.

I just avoid joininig those bounties because it is obvious that they are going to not pay any of their participants, KYC is crap, and more if it is needed for bounties or airdrops. I just do not join them, doesn't matter what.

I don't have problems to do KYC, and in this way some multiaccounts will be discovered. I understand the reason why most of ICO will require KYC also for bounties now...

Although I do not agree with KYC for bounty hunters I understand why they have to do so. They are hoping to deter some people from creating multiple accounts to register for the bounty. Smiley Smiley

It is good, to know the customer or the bounty hunters are legit, but he negative side of doing KYC is by giving a personal information and that is not a good idea for us bounty hunters. So i think we must not agree for the KYC.

Honestly, KYC for bounty hunters is a great thing, especially with all those referral programs, and fake referrals that are going on. There will always be some people that would try to cheat the system, and with KYC we can in one hand prevent that from happening. Also let's not say that with cheaters only honest people at are loss at the end.

I think I'm going to take part in the bounty thread that doesn't need KYC.Because the current KYC data cannot be well managed, so when we submit the information, it is completely possible to be leaked

Today almost 9 out of 10 ICO are requiring KYC document for even bounty also. So if any ICO is giving bounty without KYC then i think mostly it will not get fully functioned and they will soon scam the investors and run away. Even if they are listed in exchange then they will dump the developer coins in the market and leave the coin dead. So if you want to join genuine new ICO'S  bounty then i think it will be good to join which are asking KYC document.

ICO investors make KYC and do not complain about it, but Bounty Hunters constantly Complain. It doesn't bother me, I'm just complaining about the campaigns that want KYC later.

I think KYC is a necessity for the current bounty program. Participating in a bounty campaign is quite easy, and a bounty participant can use multiple accounts to receive more than one token. If forced to pass KYC, this will cause the campaign to eliminate fraudsters and the reward will be divided for everyone involved.

This is unnecessary, The number of tokens for the bounty campaign is only about 2% of the total tokens sold. This does not affect the token value much and does not need KYC, I think.
