I like this course of events. A lot of bountyhunters have a lot of accounts. I think that this measure is aimed at combating this phenomenon. Probably, they do not have the right to do this, but this is a necessary step. Members of the bounty campaigns are as active participants of the market as investors.

KYC is a good thing.  For crypto to become mainstream, there needs to be confidence that it is not a facilitator of illicit activity.  Crypto becoming mainstream is good for all of us early adopter/investors.

As much as I do not like this, I do understand the idea behind it, as many individuals out there are using multiple accounts when applying, so this would eliminate that!

But giving away your info will defeat the purpose of anonymity of the users! I'm sure there is still a way to know if a person is using multiple accounts. Also giving your info will make you vulnerable to hackers.

Asking KYC for bounty hunters is the best way to listed token on big exchange like Bittrex, Binance. This process help prevent cheater, multi registion. Soon this process is required for every campaign.

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

KYC is the answer of most ICO to scammers, people are seeing bounties before as scams or failure.
but when KYC "KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER" came, most bounties is sold out, if not there are more than 50% of sold tokens, now they are applying this even to bounties for making sure that hunters are not from restricted countries, THOUGH I, myself believe that KYC is not the answer for that as it is can be fake, there no such 100% verification that the documents are all accurate. One more thing that i doubt on KYC is the falsification of public documents, it can be used as hunters are from different countries and it is such big source of identity especially online.

If they are going to request documents for KYC verification then it needs to be announced in the original post at the time it is first posted.  It's questionable to announce at the end that its a requirement.

Good point. KYC is a serious requirement and should be announced for Bounty Hunters at the very beginning of ICO.
Yes. I agree. I'm tired of surprises from the organizers of bounty, who ask to pass KYC after the work done. Gladius, INS are examples of such. I saw only one bounty, where they demanded to pass KYC before registration. It was bounty of GBX https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bounty-gbx-the-crypto-harbour-fix-500k-in-bounties-whitelist-open-ended-2757831
I hope other projects will take an example from it

Well, Recently i had to do this with one of the bounty. The problem is they ask it after all your work done, which is really annoying. They should just mention it on bounty thread that, KYC needed to get your coin after bounty, It will help those people who don't want to do it. Sometimes it is really risky to send your driver license or passport to stranger.

I do not approve of the Bounty Hunters KYC request. Because Bounty is to actually release an ICO before it gets publicity from one agency. So KYC is unfair in giving Rewards the right way if they do it right. But if we have a KYC Submit Document we have it, it feels good to all of us. Roll Eyes

I agree that it sucks, but there are too many "smart" people out there, and I think that ICO organizer want to verify that you participate with only one account.
Moreover, lot of countries start to put any kind of limitation on ICO activity (there are lot of scams and lot of bad projects) just to prevent frauds.
At presents, only few ICOs ask for KYC, but we have to accept the idea that in the next future it will be the norm.

This is definitely a bad precedent these ICOs are setting. recently a project i saw said the have a hidden cap and would only reveal it once they reach a certain level. Thats bad practice and precedent they are setting for others to follow.

You can go over my post on steemit.

True if they are going to request a KYC for their participants to get paid they should at least announce it first,
It is really hard to trust your personal information to someone you don't really know ,
Who know's what would they do to your personal info in the future.

Before KYC wasa being implemented only for the investors who partake in every ico project which they want to invest in. And now they implement it also to all bounty hunters little buy little were most of the members for sure will not agree on this rules but we do nothing about it but to follow.

Why bounty hunters must pass KYC procedure? I understand that ICO organizers can ask investors about the origin of money for investment. But bounty hunters get their reward for their work.

I don't find the fact that projects require KYC for bounties very disturbing. After all this usually implies that the project is legit. The thing that does disturb though is projects that require KYC when claiming tokens without clearly notifying it. This has been happening with many projects lately and it is extremely annoying.

How does asking for an ID imply legitimacy?  By that logic,  identity thieves are totally legit since they want your personal info too.   Roll Eyes

And just imagine the situation that the bounty with KYC is a scam bounty. So they'll get all your personal info including passport scans and maybe even your current address.  Undecided

It has good and bad two sides. Some of going for spamming and use Duplicate account. Its main cause for KYC.
Another bad effects is people who working, many pf people don't get their smart id card. For tha after hard work they can't get payment.  So sad about thinking this.

I am ever, wanted to claim the reward and was asked me to fill out the KYC form. I am dont know  what is the purpose someone told me to fill the KYC form. And filling it is very confusing because the fields requested on the form are not all in my identity. Then ask apload photo identity. Is it safe if my ID is known to others, I'm afraid if there are actions that will harm me.

ICO participants have to fill up the KYC forms but I have never seen a bounty asking KYC form from the bounty hunters.
Anyway it is against the principles of crypto in both terms.
In a short period this platform will have no difference from the international banking system.
