Well, I ask again so : what bounty program have ask you to provide KYC ? As I have never see one I would like to see a single example please.
In these 3 programs: Ins, Gladius, GBX
This is all the bounties in which was KYC

Thanks, I have take a look at Galdius, as they ask it on the first post it's not really a problem, you decide if you want to be in. what would be exasperating would be to say it in the end of the campaign

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

It's probably a good step, it reduces the possibility of multiple accounts being used and it also protects the ICO in terms of legality. From my understanding it's a bit of a grey area legally because bounty hunters are not investors so shouldn't technically need to give up their info, I think many ICOs now are just doing it to be extra safe.

Now many ICOs require KYC identification. Of course, this will also be reflected in bounty programs. And it turns out very not logical. The company prohibits investors from certain contries to participate in ICO, and on the other hand to distribute these coins for bounty participation regardless of the country. Where is the logic? This is a double standard. I am cautious about submitting my personal documents. But without them do not get in WL of many good ICO.

100% agree..
its to avoid cheater that use ao many account to join ico bounty.
its not fair for people that only use 1 account for every ico bounty.
usually kyc for bounty more simple than ico participant.

It's really great because it's to remove cheats by using multiple accounts. So do not be sad if there is KYC

KYC is for this purpose? I highly doubt KYC can be used to reduce multiple accounts.
Ask cheater to do KYC so they can't create multiple account it's a silly idea.

Hmm I need to inform about KYC but I don't want to share with anyone my personal info so I think this project will fail with bounties or they will implement something different that it will requiere less info to share and it will be something simple not ID and something like this.

The main idea of a cryptocurrency is anonymity but why KYC? I don't like giving up my ID online because it may cause me more harm than good.

I understand also the point of bounty managers because of people using multiple accounts in a single ICO but they should find ways and means to detect this modus.

Honestly, whole KYC thing is against the nature of crypto-currency but authorities want that. Projects don't have much of a choice if they are a regular crowdfunding company, they need to be regulated.
We should not mix these 2 things. Anonymous crypto-currencies and regulated crowdfundings are very different things. I prefer not to disclose my information, not because I hide something. I'd like to keep my privacy.

The Dev's of the projects should have to identify themselves and provide their personal information to us, I want to see their Passports. I want to make sure they are not fake or scamming us.  If they want my ID, I want theirs.  This is the worst idea ever as it relates to the Crypto world.

Many people are ready to send anything to obtain a few dollars. The main problem in this. And if the campaigns will require KYC - there's nothing we can do about it.  Embarrassed

actually what is KYC? two days ago I was also asked to fill KYC as a condition to receive payment of token result from bounty program. I am confused why should include our personal data to receive the payment.
but clearly, with this KYC, we avoid the irresponsible people who are trying to claim our payment.

Could you say us what bounty program have ask you to provide KYC ? Personally I have never see one and I'm a little bit curious, many talk about it without showing a single example.

NO,

Giving such documents and information to not official entity, it is dangerous. What if they sold them in the deep web? what if they use it for illecite purpose?
If I were you, I would think twice before giving those infos everywhere.

I hope you read this post and take care of your identity

It's bad. I don't want give all my information in cryptocurrency world. A lot of crooks in this fields. Ins, gladius. This becomes a trend.

I have not followed INS or Gladius. What has happened with these ICOs? Have there been problems with the ID´s or anything like that? If so, I want to keep track of the names of the team and advisors, as they are not ever getting a dollar from this one.

Avoid, new precedent trying to be set, the more people the give in, then you'll have to give you info out for every single airdropped/bounty out there.

The best thing you can do if you're reading this, is to not give in to these new information whores, who are more than likely to flip your IDs on the darkweb for a profit.

You are quite right. The KYC is really scary. What I do is to put a text, transparent, over the pictures and documents I send. It is not obvious but it is there and contains the date and the ico I send it to. If it goes anywhere at least it is traceable.
