Very poor result by Barcelona & you're right....if Real Madrid win their next game & go 8 points clear it'll make it very, very hard for Barca to catch them.

It seems to be lagging further because Madrid is still leading 1 game, this season looks like it looks perfect for Madrid. What is Lionel Messi and friends do not like his coach? And only with this way they drove out coach?

So, Real Madrid keep playing well AND winning, and when they DON'T play particularly well, they STILL WIN. If I had to bet on which team is going to win La Liga, it would be Real Madrid, even if i'm rooting for Barca.

And Real Madrid's prowess in the air with Ramos, Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, and Pepe really makes it easy for them to just cross the ball into the box and have a good chance of scoring from the air. It's like their go-to plan when they need a goal and when they're just bereft of ideas: just cross the ball into the box and someone will head the ball into the net. Ramos's two goals against Atletico in the CL finals and against Barca and Bayern come to mind.

What I've also noticed is that Real Madrid always seem to play with at least two forwards (Ronaldo and Benzema), with Bale (sometimes Lucas Vasques) occasionally dropping deeper (like Messi). In contrast, this season and the last one, Barca are sometimes playing with one forward as both Messi and Neymar are dropping deeper all the while there' no one filling that void, leaving Suarez as the lone forward.

I've seen too many occasions where Neymar moves the ball forward from deep, but when he's looking for someone to make that forward pass to, there's only Suarez available as Messi is somewhere behind Neymar and there's no one filling that void left by Neymar and Messi. Having one forward drop deeper while other players (Alves, Xavi, Rakitic) move forward to fill in the void left is effective as the success of Barca is a testament to that. But when you have two forwards dropping deeper all the while their teammates aren't filling the void left by them, then it just becomes ineffective, to the detriment of the team as we've seen this season. Barca could learn something from this Real Madrid.

not only you are was let down by Barcelona and first match on january 2017 for spanish league i was thought everything will went smoothly and considers Barcelona stronger than Villarreal that's why i was make parlay with combine Barcelona win and over 2.5 goals but unfortunately they only able playing draw and the results are less of goals

I still can not believe that Barcelona couldn't win against VillaReal.

Now Real Madrid are leading in 5 points and a game, which is going to be almost impossible for Barcelona to pass them up.

Easy game to predict tonight. Osasuna vs Valencia I think going for both teams to score and Valencia double chance win or draw. Osasuna is the weakest team of the La Liga and if you see their goal difference it's obvious that they can't win tonight. Valencia on the other side is not as it used to be a few years before but still I think they can take away the win tonight. Even ML for Valencia is a good choice at odd 1.95.

Who care about how Ronaldo losing his prime when he still can delivery to Real Madrid. Even his class have dropped, you still can't compared him to his fellow teammates because everyone shine in their own side.
Talking about the best players, the 2nd best player, Messi's team have suffering everywhere now. From Copa Del Rey to La Liga, perhaps this season not belong to them.

Again, this shows how unbalanced La Liga is. Teams below top 5-6 is miles behind. 6-0, 7-0, 8-0 doesn't happen in other top flight leagues. No wonder that 6-7 players always reach +25 goals per season.

Barcelona is really lucky though, because Messi finally can make a goal in the very end of the match and make Barcelona become draw. Another bad result from Barcelona, if they keep this performance they will lose and can be the champion on this season. In the other hand, Real Madrid keep winning and the winning streak continue.

Messi was the stand out player from saving Barcelona on having a back to back defeat in away games.Villarreal played really well and they really had some chances to score goals and they really dont like accepting goals which made things difficult for Barcelona .

But Villarreal in the home ground is very strong and their defense is also very good , that is the result that they kept pressure from starting and scored a goal but last min goal from messi saved Barcelona if not they would have seen second defeat against villarreal 2nd time

yeah an Excelent goal by messi too bad they couldn't win but the draw can still keep their hopes high as Real Madrid will be viditing Sevilla and it will be a very tough game for them because we all kniw that Sevilla is very difficult to get points from them as for Luis Enrique i don't expect from Barcelona to extend his contract so we may see him go this season but still depends on his achievement this season because if he manage to win the CL or La Liga Barcelona will defintly extend his contract.

Had a really good day with La Liga first i predicted the match between Athletic Bilbao and Alavés to be a draw and now with the goal from Lional Messi the little wonder Barcelona stole the win away from Villarreal and won my bet for the day as i expected this to be a draw .

If not for the brilliance of Messi Barcelona would have lost this match against Villarreal, Messi just showed his class with a free kick in the 90th minute he just planted the ball in the top corner under pressure which was really amazing ,i literally thought they are going to lose once again ,Villarreal missed two really good chances in the first half to score goals which would have being a difference now .

Messi with a fantastic goal saves Barcelona from the second defeat in three days.
Luis Enrique also this year, failed to win in the first Liga match of the year.
 Now the real madrid is aswell 5 points (with one game to play).
If Real Madrid win the next game away aganist Seville(currently second place to -4 points), Real Madrid has the Liga in his hands.

I also agreed that both teams to score would be a good bet. Didn't thought Barcelona would have such a hard time scoring a goal.
I know Villarreal has the best defense in Spanish League, but even having some bad results, Barcelona still has the second best offense in the league, almost like Real Madrid.

As the first half about to end with nob teams scored yet i think this game will have under 2.5 goals if we don't see a goal in the next twenty minutes of play time because if Barcelona scores Villareal will try to move forward a bit more to equalize and from the first half we only saw just one good scoring chance from noth trams and as always Barcelona is fully controlling the ball  ut i think Barcelona will win the game unless Villarreal scores first because they are not giving much soace for their opponents.

Celta Vigo v Malaga  ,Celta Vigo play at home good but Malaga is not easy team for Celta Vigo too , i think both team will try to play in control and i think first half time will finish without goal but i will choose to draw for first time result and there is good ods . Good luck for everybody!

R.Madrid will play with Sevilla for that reason Barca use this fixture. Also they lost their last match. So Barca will start fast and i guess will win 3-1 3-0 or 4-1
