With all due respect, but he is another defender for Real Madrid who has far crossed his thirties and I think this poses a problem to them which they are aware of by now.

Carvajal is 32 years old.

David Alaba is 32 years old.

Antonio Rudiger is 32 years old in 2 months.

Militao is still inured as far as I know.

I think this is quite a big problem and maybe this makes it more likely that they will be trying in this transfer window to get at least some elite defender to strengthen their defense.

Honestly that isn't really "this" season, and I believe that coming back in June makes no sense at all, there is really no benefit to it at all. I get the idea, I mean he wants to come back as soon as possible but that doesn't mean that we are going to see him helping them that much as soon as he can and that is not a bad thing, it shows how he is a great captain who wants to be with the team and all that, it's awesome.

However, mentality and reality are different and we can't see how he could come back and help. The best method would be just keeping him away from the games itself, and just keep help him recover and gain fitness. That way, when next season starts, he will be ready from game one and honestly that would be a lot better. They do not really "need" him this season, they are doing fine and I bet that unless some other players get injured, they are going to end up with a good result and they should not be worried about it and do not rush Carvajal back quickly.

Carvajal has become like a key player who will not be replaced before finding new talent in younger players. So he will be maintained and another option might be that Ancelotti will try to find new players with a younger age to see how well the new player contributes. If the new player provides high productivity, I am sure Ancelotti will decide to sell Carvajal.
But my hope right now is that Ancelotti does not need to force Carvajal to play when he has recovered but must really give him a long time so that the injury he suffered really heals completely and there are no worries in the future.
However, losing the player really feels a very bad decline in performance since Carvajal was absent.

Dani Carvajal is now 32 years old, maybe an additional option for 2 more seasons is still very worthy of playing with Madrid. As long as he can return to 100% condition, his abilities will still be useful. Carvajal is still an important figure whose role has not been replaced until now. Madrid is currently starting a transition program to young players but must be balanced with several senior players. Regarding Madrid's squad list for Super Coppa semifinal match against Mallorca have David Alaba who injured almost one year and return back to the team, its give opportunity for Carlo Ancelotti having several players for defender position although still have Militao get injury and absent until the end of this season. Facing Real Mallorca looks not difficult match for Madrid and secure the final place waiting the winning team between Athletic Bilbao or Barcelona.
