I think Vini is a normal human who will get emotional when received provocation from goal keeper. He have chance to create a score, but can't finish it smoothly. a normal human should be regret, and and will certainly be more temper when got provocation to quickly stand up by goal keeper. He not only received that provocation, but the valencia supporter also mocking him during the match. I don't why Vini got that situation. Maybe because he was taunting celebration when create a goal before, and pointing a finger at the plague which implies that Valencia will be relegated.
Some people blame Vinicius in this case, while others blame Valencia players and fans. I support Vinicius to fight racism because it is very unhealthy for sporting events, but I don't like the way he takes everything emotionally. All players are ordinary people, but they must have good emotional control regardless of whatever situation occurs.

There are many other players who have received racist attacks from opposing supporters, but I don't think they need to express their emotions. Vinicius sometimes likes to provoke opposing team fans with his body movements or whatever, but when he gets provoked it seems as if someone else is to blame. He must also be aware of what he has done so far and I will not defend what is wrong.

Exactly Atletico Madrid will be 6 points ahead of Barcelona if they manage to win the postponed match. Barcelona chances of taking over the top of the standings are still open, but I agree that their chances are now getting slimmer. The financial crisis is a serious problem that may disrupt Barcelona focus, resulting in difficulty in creating consistency. Real Madrid is now starting to show signs of improving performance, so it is clear that the competition for the trophy will be very competitive. The chances of winning the trophy can change at any time, but the involvement of Atletico Madrid this season has made the competition more interesting.
Atletico Madrid this season is indeed trying to reach the top of the standings when seeing Madrid initially having a bad time in several previous matches and ATM hope to try to find a way to catch up on those points. But when ATM started to improve, Barcelona experienced a decline in performance and ended up Atletico Madrid having to be in second place which gave them stronger confidence.
If the ATM points gap with Barcelona gets further and Barcelona performs badly again, I'm afraid Barcelona will fail to win the title this season. Even though Barcelona started the season very well.
But if this is related to financial shortcomings, I have to be able to understand the results.

Atlético Madrid will be able to go to the top of the table because they have a chance of winning the game against Osasuna, so definitely they are sure of 3 points, which means they will be at the top of the table. So to me, I don’t think Atlético Madrid will have a lot to border on, but for Barcelona, I don’t think they will be able to make it to the top of the table again. They will have to put in more effort and be more consistent so that they will have a chance if Atlético Madrid or Real Madrid lose their form.

I agree with you on Vini Junior controlling his temper and reacting all the time but from another stand point, shouldn't he be protected from unnecessary aggregations from the opponent and their fans? The ref even went to VAR saw happened initially and only decided to punish Vini with a red card and nothing for the goalie. For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. If the league management can set up possible penalties or punishment for both the aggressor and the aggressed (that's if he retaliates) because the refs can't continue only punishing the aggressed after retaliating almost all the time.
Its sickening to me seeing only one player getting punished for an incident that was started by another player.
In this match Dimitrievski also got a yellow card because of the provocation he made but in the end regardless of the provocation on the field actually as long as it does not lead to racism as before it will be considered as normal where it is part of the tension of the game and small provocations like this are actually commonplace but the problem here is not only about provocation but how the players respond to what happened in the end.

Indeed what Dimitrievski did I think could not be justified but Vini's emotional attitude was also too excessive in the end and this is not the first time he has not been able to control himself on the field which must also be recognized as a fatal mistake for a professional player of Vini's class.
Now he must accept a penalty of at least 4 matches because of the red card and the reaction given after the referee issued the card. This must be a concern or even a lesson so that no matter how hard the tempo and how hot the tension on the field is, there should be no losses that have long-term consequences like this for Vini.

Atletico have a game in hand and assuming they win it, that would put them 7 points ahead of Barcelona. Not a bad advantage considering half the season is over, right? But for some reason, that's not reflected in the odds.
Purely mathematically: Barcelona is far behind two strong teams, the probability that it will suddenly be able to overtake both of these teams should be around 10%, but bookmakers pretend that the chances are three times greater.

It seems to me that now the only thing that keeps Barcelona's chances going is the brand and the remnants of the hype we saw at the beginning of the season. Now both the coach and the players are questionable, and if we talk about management, they are pure clowns.
The passion and love for the team is gradually fading. With 3 losses and 1 draw in the last 5 matches, the team's position has now come down to 3rd place. The team that was in the top position with just a few matches is fighting from the third position. As a Barca fan, it is hard to accept this, but there is nothing to do about it. The team's performance is so bad now that they may have to go through losses or draws in the upcoming matches. But it is not difficult to improve from this situation. Barcelona collects 38th points, while Real Madrid, who is at the top, is 43 points, which is not a very big distance. That is why there is still hope that Barca will be able to correct its mistakes and return to  winning streak.
Recently Barcelona have performed poorly, this may be why many football fans are losing faith in them. This team had consistently performed well before but suddenly they started performing poorly. Some of Barcelona's players were injured and their performance didn't improve much after that. Ever since Barcelona lost against Atletico Madrid, many football fans have been predicting that the team might not win the La Liga title this year. They have lost two matches in a row which has reduced their points further. They currently have 38 points, their arch-rivals Real Madrid are far ahead of them. Barcelona will face Getafe in their next match, Maybe through that match, Barcelona will return to their winning streak.

La Liga: Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior Faces Possible Suspension For 12 Matches For MisconductReal Madrid striker Vinicius Junior risks a suspension of four to 12 matches for pushing the opposing team's goalkeeper stole dimitrievski
Undecided it's too much Embarrassed
Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior risks a suspension of four to 12 matches for pushing the opposing team's goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski during the 79th minute of the La Liga match against Valencia, which ended 2-1 at the Mestella. after the incident, the Brazilian player was sent off. According to Spanish La Liga regulations, such aggressive behaviour without an attempt to play the ball is punishable by suspension.
according to spanish language media outlet Mundo deportivo, Vinicius will likely receive the minimum penalty of four matches.
this could exclude him from participating in the supercopa de Espana semifinal against Mallorca, and if they advance to the final, he may miss the match against Barcelona or athletic Bbilbao.

That's a huge suspension for Vinicuis, I thought that he would serve roughly 2 to 4 matches, but I'm not sure if he'll face punishment for a suspension of 4 to 12 matches for pushing the opponent's goalkeeper. Well, I would not blame Vinicuis for hitting the Valencia goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the game since the goalkeeper made the first push, which was really bad because Real Madrid was already behind and it was 80 minutes of the game. I don't believe the referee could give a straight red card; a yellow card for both actions would be better.

However, if Vinicuis gets punished for four or more matches, it surely will have an impact on their performance because he has been an important player for the club, and he may miss games against Las Palmas, Valladolid and more. This is an opportunity for Real Madrid to surpass Atletico Madrid for the first spot, but let's wait and see because I read a post claiming that the red card had been canceled after appeal.

It is not going to be the 12 matches, but I don't know whether there is a minimum penalty for a red card like that? Is it 4 games or how does everyone here come up with those numbers?

Whatever they decide, the goalkeeper has done the right thing as everyone knows that Vinicius is a bad sportsman and pushing his buttons to make him angry can be part of the game.

I have never liked him as a person. He is a great player, but his character sucks and he has proven that when he boycotted the award ceremony for the Ballon d'Or. I could understand if it gety boycotted because a player wins it who hasn't deserved to win it. But Rodri is a fair play guy who has played a sensational season and I think respect would have been due and Vinicius could and should have shown that respect. But Vinicius is not a fine character. Hopefully he gets suspended for like 6 games. I would never choose him as the Ballon d'Or winner.

What Vinicius Junior did really reflected excessive bad emotions to his own detriment, not only that, the club was affected by what Vinicius Junior did. Of course this cannot be ignored, he must change immediately, controlling emotions is important so as not to be easily provoked by the opposing team.

To be honest Vinicius Junior is one of the talented players, his skills and abilities on the pitch are unquestionable, if only he could control his emotions, it would be better for him as well as for the club.

I agree with you. Penalties should be given to both parties and not only the player that reacted. Because there are some words that kills slowly without no one knowing what's the causes of the problem. This is why FIFA should put a law to back up the use of non abusive words by players on the pitch to each other. If I don't say something bad to you, how will you get angry towards me.

Luis Suarez was one of the best strikers in the world at his prime but he had an off the ball issue which was bitting opponents and it did cost him much until he finally worked in himself after his last incident in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Vinicius Jr currently is the best player on the planet but he has an off the ball issue which is poor management of emotions and that has landed him into troubles in different occasions. The Brazilian winger really needs to work on it now or risk being denied a big football achievement because of it.

What Vinicius did by pushing the Valencia goalkeeper neck deservedly earned him a card, as it showed a complete lack of sportsmanship from a professional player, regardless of what Dimitrievski said to Vinicius, but he shouldn't have responded with a stupid (violence) act, so far we haven't seen any news that Dimitrievski was racist towards Vinicius, so this suggests that his words to ask Vinicius to get up and carry on with the match may has been the reason that triggered Vinicius emotions in the match.
Just like you, I also think that Madrid, especially Ancelotti, should really guide and help Vinicius to manage his emotions and temperament in every match, because incidents involving excessive emotional aggressiveness are not only detrimental to himself but also to the team as a whole in every match

I assume you haven't noticed Dimitrievski's action against Vinicius Junior first. He clearly makes him angry which causes Vinicius Junior to react to that.

https://x.com/nocontextfooty/status/1875482842085650622

You can see it from the link. He provokes Vinicius there. The red card wasn't wrong but not fair because of not being shown to the goalkeeper as well. The referees should be more careful with such incidents. It shouldn't be too difficult for VAR to watch it closely and make the right decision I assume?  Smiley  It really makes one sad while there are still simple mistakes made in presence of such great technologies. I think this kind of referees should be punished for that. This would help decreasing the number of mistakes to minimum.  Wink

Of course Vinicius Junior needs to be admonish of his temperament because it was not a habit he suddenly started it has been there since he started his career if they show you some of his highlights in regards to those incidents you will see how serious he has been and more aggressive because I no that some other players normally retaliates by either warning their opponent but not to the extent of dragging or pushing his opponent, though I no that he wasn't at fault but considering what the action could cause is not worth doing because if the referee sees such aggressiveness in a negative way he may not care if he is not at fault or not and flash a red card on him. However Suarez was also like that before but later learn how to control his anger.

Yes you are right it will be 6 points. In any case, this is a huge advantage (plus Atletico already has an advantage in head-to-head meetings), I don’t know why bookmakers don’t take it into account. I agree. Since Hans flick appointment as the head coach of Barcelona he has transformed the team. We have seen Lewandowski and Raphinha flourish under his management. While their Real Madrid counterpart Vinicus junior goal contribution to the club has been poor because of injury problems. Kylian Mbappe is finding it difficult to adapt to a more demanding team. It may be taking long but when it finally clicks you can expect Mbappe to win a Golden boot in Spain.
I used to doubt Hansi Flick when it was reported that he wanted to change Barcelona's style of play. But during pre-season we saw that Barcelona was mediocre but had good improvements. And when the season started, I was really surprised by Barcelona's performance which had improved drastically and the goal productivity record they set at the start of the season was also extraordinary. And no one would have thought that they would see Lewandowski become the top scorer this season in Laliga at his age, which is no longer young. But his sharpness has actually increased rapidly this season. And all of that is thanks to Hansi Flick's skill in combining Yamal with Lewandowski in the attack line. This young player really deserves the award. And I think many will agree with my opinion.

Meanwhile about Real Madrid I think you have said it all. But one thing I have to admit is that Vini Jr could actually remain the brightest football star at Real Madrid if he didn't get too many injuries this season. Meanwhile, I think that if he is still not used to being here by the end of the season, criticism will start to emerge for him.

Vinicius Junior should try to calm down if he wants to be the brightest football star as you said. He doesn't have control over his mental state during games and he freaks out too often. That's not how a professional should behave and while it can be discussed whether the last red card was justified or not, he should know better that it is not very intelligent to act like that.

Hansi Flick has proven that he can be a great coach when he won all possible titles in one single season with Bayern Munich, but I think for now there is too much talk about what he has done pre-season and beginning of the season and not enough talk about what is going on at the moment. It doesn't help much when you win the first ten games in a season and lose the next ten games. It's a bit exaggerated I know, but they are in a crisis. This is not some accidental problem that is soon gone. They are not playing as well now as they did in the beginning. Countless of chances and they can't use them effectively. Lewandowski and Raphinha had a great start and played so well together, but it has slowed down.

I am curious about the second half of the season and whether Flick can bring them back to their best condition. If not, then the title will either go to Real Madrid or Atletico.

Hmmm... Don't you think the odds for the title are strange? Here they are:

Real Madrid - 1.83

Barcelona Fc - 3.10

Atlético Madrid - 4.75

Barcelona above Atletico? After they fell apart both in terms of play and organisation? As a Real Madrid fan, I am much more afraid of Atletico, I would like these figures to reflect reality, but in my opinion, at the moment, Real and Atletico have roughly equal chances of winning the title.

I see nothing surprise in the Barcelona's outright odds. I believe bookies believe Barcelona has ability to comeback, though they're below Atletico Madrid. I also assume bookies are considering the history of winner.  Barcelona often competed with Real Madrid at the late season for the title. Meanwhile, Atletico often finished at the top 4, but rarely participated in the title race.

That's a sense reason seeing how big Atletico's odds, though they're at the 2nd place. I'm wondering if there is someone who betting on Atletico Madrid win the title.  Grin

I will not overreact to this because I think what happened to Vinicius in the match against Valencia was a normal outburst for a young player when he is frustrated because his team is losing, overall Vinicius could not control his emotions but I think for a young player it is a little normal.
Tonight Real Madrid will face Minera followed by the Copa Del Rey match, this should not be a difficult match for Real Madrid and I am also sure Ancelotti will make a lot of rotations in the match later to maintain the fitness of his players and also give playing time to his young players.
Such things should not be considered normal because if they are considered normal, Vinicius could repeat the same thing in other matches. So things like that must really be changed by Vinicius so that they do not happen again a second time in the future and for the Copa Del Rey match later, I also think that Ancelotti will field second-string players even though he will also use some core players in the match. But in this match, the young players will be more dominant for Ancelotti to use.

After the match, I saw a report that suggested Real Madrid management were ready to appeal the red card but it was yesterday that I saw a news that Spanish football association is very likely to extend his ban from the usual 2 games for a straight red card to four or more matches. Vinicius Jr is unarguably the best Real Madrid player and suspending him will definitely affect the team but I believe Carlo Ancelotti will be able to improvise the best options during his absence so as a Real Madrid fan, I'm not too perturbed with the news of further suspension.
