Even though Barcelona is not in better condition than Real Madrid this season, their match will still be of interest to many people because they remember that the two are true rivals who have been around for a very long time. Their match is still quite far away in La Liga so we just need to enjoy a few other matches at the moment before seeing Real Madrid and Barcelona meet again. Because in the previous match, Real Madrid had also successfully beaten Barcelona, as well as when they met in the Super Cup final this season, which match was also won by Real Madrid.

Girona started the season on a very good note and were at a point considered as a serious contender for the Spanish La Liga title but after a run of poor results, they're now struggling to finish the season in the top two. Like you rightly said, their performance this season is a great way of showing how significant their improvement have been this season and even if they don't end up as league winners, the club will still be very happy with their achievement. The possibility of winning the league title this season is very slim and is very unlikely to happen but I strongly believe that Girona will finish the season in the top four.
The problem now is that even if they finish the season in the top four of the league, Girona might not play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season because they're owned by the same owners of Manchester City and going by UEFA rules, two clubs of the same ownership can't feature in the UEFA Champions League in the same season

We have an El Clasico in this month, right! Let's say the current point gap is maintained until the El Clasico. Even if Barcelona win at Santiago Bernabeu there will still be five points between. Even in that case I don't think Barcelona can get so close to take the lead later on. However I don't expect Real Madrid to lose that game in the first place.  

Barcelona can't defend well and the previous El Clasico in the league ended by Real Madrid's victory as well. You know what Real Madrid did in the Spanish Super Cup finale too (4-1). I think Real Madrid will beat them home too and secure their La Liga championship.

La Liga is definitely a competitive league and for the fact that against all odds, Girona have proven to stay in the top spot, it only means that there's definitely good fighting and resilient spirits in the teams there. The last weeks of the season games seems to be a walk over for Girona as they've in the first legs played to their best and have mastered rightly their strategies and the opposing team approaches, and so they've got better experience to countering the moves that'll be made.

 Real Madrid is definitely of all the league teams be their toughest opponent but I believe that they'll definitely find the best way to counter the moves that'll be made. It'll be beautiful to see that Girona in a long time would get to have a ticket to the European cup next season, they're not aiming for the La Liga trophy, they're definitely going for next season's European ticket and so far, it's seeming like a finished task, we only have to wait for the last table result on the La Liga.

 Girona has been doing really well in the soccer season, surprising everyone with their great performance. In my opinion it still won't be that easy because to become a leader in La Liga you have to have deeper experience even competing with popular teams in La Liga is not an easy task because popular teams have more experience with various strategies to be able to regain their position first.

 I'd hope more that maybe there'll be a difference on the leader in the La Liga this season considering how dedicated Girona team generally are set towards making a remarkable change. Madrid for sure won't make it so easy for them and so let's anticipate how the remaining weeks of the season would turn out.

It's a bit regrettable that their chances have been so good from the start of the season to now but Girona's magic is now completely predictable and they're back to their old ways where they've been in the last few matches transformed into a mediocre club as their monotonous attacking patterns are now well read.
Girona's current situation is actually still quite good because although they are still in the Champions League zone which they have never experienced before but with the performance they showed before with their current condition they are still quite regrettable even though they were unexpected competitors from the beginning.

This week Girona will face Atletico. I think this will be quite interesting because looking at the current situation and reflecting on the previous meeting Atletico could not give anything positive in terms of results when facing Girona but for now inevitably Atletico will have to work harder because however for their current position it is still not safe so 3 targets are definitely Atletico's thoughts in this week's match.

I don't think so at all. Real has already taken revenge from Barcelona for last season and Barcelona does not look like a significant opponent for Real. If Real can qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals, then they will be 100% focused on the Champions League as the next title will be within arm's reach. Another question is if Real finish their performance in the Champions League at the 1/4 stage: then they will either be burnt out because they lost to City again or they will be angry and then I don’t envy Barcelona. But as you can see, if we assume that all outcomes have equal probability, then the chance of seeing a motivated Real Madrid is 25%.

There is very slim hope for Girona this season when Atletico Madrid and Atletic Bilbao continue to chase down the points difference that Girona currently has while Girona is starting to lose a little of its consistency.
I don't think there is any need to have high hopes for Girona because this club is just one of the promoted clubs that can get tickets to UEL which is already a very good experience.
Girona still needs a lot of experience before they can get a ticket to the Champions League.
Just look at Girona, who are getting closer to the end of the season, actually losing consistency, so what if that happens in the Champions League, they will definitely fail too.
I'm not sure Girona is able to compete with other elite clubs in the UCL because they have more experience in the UCL compared to Girona who have just entered the tiger cage and will be an easy target for stronger clubs. Yes, at least being able to get a UCL ticket is a big achievement for Girona even though he is not the favorite in this big competition.

Girona made a big surprise this season but unfortunately they were unable to make a surprise until the end of the season, and that is normal for Real Madrid's existence at the top of the standings. I think everything happens for a reason, and this is a good start for Girona. Being a club that joined the La Liga Championship in 2017, to have risen to the third position currently held by them, is a great height achieved so far. If the club can continue like this, they are probably going to come in at second above Barcelona, which will be another great accomplishment for the team.

 Regardless, if they don't go to the second position and continue to maintain the position they currently hold, due to the very few matches that are left, then Girona would have already qualified to the Champions League, which also means that they are ready to join the champions this season. Amazing. An encouraging step taken by such a growing club within a short time.

To be honest Girona made this season to be interesting with their performance because the laliga league have always been known for Real Madrid and Barcelona.  When the the season started all eyes were on Girona because before now this team used to be a struggling team in laliga but this season they were leading the league but I'm not surprise to see Real Madrid at the top of the league because Real Madrid is a team that can always get what they want .

Im so impressed with the effort of Girona this season, even if they lose the top position to Real Madrid atleast they found a better position and I know they will be among the top four team of the league this season.

I agree with you; with Barcelona's situation, they cannot win against Real Madrid when they meet for the second time in La Liga. Real Madrid is at another level in La Liga, and Barcelona does not have the type of players who will match Real Madrid shoulder-to-shoulder this season in La Liga.

Not only is there a small chance but it is also impossible to steal 3 points from Real Madrid with Barcelona's current situation.
Without me explaining, everyone knows how the financial crisis as well as a shortage of players and several injuries have made Barcelona unable to match the strength of Real Madrid.
It is possible that last season Barcelona might still be able to, but for this season it has to be said that Real Madrid will still lock in the La Liga title this season without having a strong opponent.

Girona's performances have surprised us all since the start of the season. We cannot predict whether this team will be in the top 10 of the points table. However, the Girona team has been occupying the top spot in the points table for a long time due to their excellent performance. However, due to erratic performances in the last few matches, the Girona team is now third in the table.

Although Girona have performed well this season, their squad is not strong enough. The squad lacks experienced players. Champion League is the most important agenda and La Liga want to see with potential La Liga team final match in Champion League this season.

Real Madrid lead the top position standing awhile has 8 points left from Barcrlona, I don't sure with Madrid position catch up by Barcelona and both team face each other two game week later. Surely Real Madrid have been favorite team for winning La Liga tittle in this season and easily if el clasico match Madrid can beat Barcelona.

Yeah their performance wasn't short of been stellar. Reminded me of Leicester city then when they won the EPL. Well in 100 years who's to say the top best would remain the same.  We have seen past records of clubs that boast of winning more than one UCL and they have declined out of first division league. The performance in the early half of the season helped boost their confidence. If they do end at the top 4 in the La liga table, then there would be more drive to do better next season but if not, I think their performance this year would be a fluke compare how they would next season. Let's see how it goes.

I have heard this many times no official confirmation from barcelona regarding this. I know that cancelo has contributed a lot to the club and he's worthy enough to be a permanent transfer. City's asking price became the main obstacle owned by barceona to make him as permanent transfer since barcelona demands lower price for him.
Barcelona can probably send an option to exchange him, but it sounds like the city will not be interested in it. Cancelo may return to manchester city again next season if Barcelona can't afford to pay his price to manchester city.
It's not yet clear what's gonna be the final deal between barcelona and city. Lona is still trying to convince city to decrease his price.

As a mediocre team, of course no one expected if Girona could appear very Spartan in the league this season, their performance since the season began was very surprising and even they were able to last long enough this season at the top of the standings before finally Madrid took over, only with modest players but Sanchez Munoz managed to break the dominance that had been happening between Barcelona and Madrid in La Liga,  Sanchez Munoz's strategizing skills and also the motivation of the Girona squad can make them penetrate the top 4 and at the same time surprise Madrid and Barcelona.

I think Girona's failure to win La Liga this season is of course very disappointing but at least they still have a chance to play in the Champions League next season, besides that with the presence of Girona certainly makes the competition in La Liga more competitive and I hope Girona will be able to continue to be a champion contender every season, so that Madrid and Barcelona will be able to get a lot of pressure from other teams such as Girona and Atletico Madrid.

Then, regarding the La Liga title race, currently Real Madrid is at the top of the standings with 75 points while Barcelona is below them with 67 points, in your opinion, do you think Barcelona can catch Real Madrid with 8 matches remaining (24 points accumulated by a full win).

The La Liga competitive race is here and only the available of top clubs will become strong enough to take up levelled raise. Girona would have become one of the promising club but they've slide behind and they're unable to meet up the necessary targets required of the team. Real Madrid and Barcelona have proven to be one of the tough clubs this season and they're always on sights to trigger winning. While Girona will be settling for the UCL qualifying spot, they just have to become prominent and consistent in winning matches.

I don't think, Barcelona can win three matches to embrace three points from those matches because they are going to be meeting strong teams that will strength them and if they are not careful they will not take victory from them. I have seen many things that will not make Barcelona to reach that first position in the la Liga league table, because Real Madrid is ahead of them with many points and they will not allow any mistakes that will make their points to reduce. Based on what Real Madrid has displayed in this season for the whole world to see, I think Real Madrid will be the team that will embrace the title in this season and Barcelona will take second position, because Girona has experienced some challenges that will make them not to reach the second position again.
