If i am not mistaken Lewandowski is one of the player with the highest salary in Barcelona and although Lewandowski still able to performing well and scores goals but he is currently 35 years old and his performance also not really good compared to last season and the idea was came up because when Atletico Madrid lost from Barcelona last week that Atletico Madrid owner are thinking possibility to bought Lewandowski this summer because they feel Lewandowski will be suitable to playing at Atletico Madrid besides that Barcelona also just tinking want to sell Lewandowski this summer

But indeed Barcelona have to hold Lewandowski because admitting or not Barcelona is still need him and although Lewandowski performance is not really good but currently he still being an Barcelona top scorer and in the last 2 season Barcelona always be rely on him because there was no players who can able to scores goals just like Lewandowski did moreover Barcelona financial conditions makes them cannot buy good quality players so instead of bought new players who not guarantee will be performing well i think give Lewandowski new contract could be wise decision because in my opinion with his current performance i am sure Lewandowski stilll able to performing well for the next 1 or 2 season

I believe the issue with attempting to get Lewandowski to leave Barcelona will be money, as Barcelona does not have the funds to even buy better players for the team. Atletico Madrid is interested in Lewandowski, but I am confident it will be difficult for him to leave the squad and join another. He has already won many trophies with Bayern Munich, therefore I would like him to stay with Barcelona since he is working hard for them; they should do everything they can to stay with the club rather than move to another. Athletico Madrid has lost form in the league when the season is already going to and end, and they have not repair there mistakes, I think they prefer to buy Lewandowski to stay with them and perform well. If Lewandowski join Athletico next summer they will be very strong.

I don't know what Barcelona is planning. There is a big possibility that Xavi will actually leave Barcelona at the end of this season. And now, Barcelona also wants to let or release Lewandowski. I firmly don't want Barcelona to sell Lewandowski to Atletico Madrid, I know that would be a disaster for Barcelona. If Barcelona want to get rid of Lewandowski, then they will probably try to get a higher offer from outside Europe, including from the Saudi Pro League.
