Girona have done something incredible this season that nobody expected them to do,nobody knew they could challenge for the tittle this much to the extent that Madrid are sweating over topping them in the league. They are just like Leverkusen and Bayern in the Bundesliga. After Bayern's loss over the weekend, some persons are still saying they can meet up points with Leverkusen, but I totally disagree with that because Leverkusen have been the best team in the Bundesliga this season, they have been in an excellent inform, losing none of their games so far,and this comes to my mind, could it be that they want to go unbeaten this season? It could be Xabi Alonso's wish for the team to go unbeaten. They don't want to drop points for no reason, and instead of Bayern to maintain a consistent effort in winning games, they dropped another three points which also gave another edge in the gap between them and Leverkusen. To me,the game is over, because thesame way Leverkusen are struggling to win games is how Bayern is struggling to win theirs too,so which ever way, Leverkusen is still the favourite, but Girona and Madrid are still not yet to define who will win the tittle because the gap between them isn't much.
but are you aware that this is La Liga, not the bundesliga?
there's nothing wrong with comparing a team with teams from other leagues, but for me this is unfair.
if you compare Real Madrid and Girona with the 2 big teams from the bundesliga it's not the same for me because Girona is not a popular team and Girona is just like a mediocre team that is lucky to get the right coach and can find a strategy to take advantage of the situation when the big teams are busy competing in other competitions such as several matches ago, Real Madrid and Barcelona were focused on competing in the Champions League, while Girona didn't have any other matches scheduled, so Real Madrid players were physically and stronger because they only competed in La Liga.
the remaining matches are still long and there are still many obstacles that Girona must face and it is a little strange to see a team that has just been promoted being able to win the La Liga title and it is a little ridiculous if La Liga is led by a promoted team and even stranger if Girona can get a ticket champions league next season and compete with big teams.
I'm not sure if Girona can survive for long but it will be very interesting to see the title battle between Real Madrid and the newly promoted team.
