I would say Girona were very lucky in this match, so they managed to get full 3 points. Girona equalized in the 82nd minute with Stuani's goal. And just 6 minutes later Stuani scored another goal to give Girona the win.

You are generally right about the number of shots being equal for the two teams, but that is not the most compelling statistic in this game. Valencia didn't only have 24% ball possession, which by the way is extremely low, but they also had a passing accuracy of below 70% (68% to be exact). They didn't get into the game ever. Of course they are no amateurs and will have their small chances with counter attacks, but I doubt that anyone would try to convince me how well Valencia played when about every third pass of theirs missed the target, which means did not reach a teammate. That was not a good game for Valencia.

Only scored 1 goal is not a problem because the most important things is thats Barcelona can winning the match, Atletico Madrid is a difficult opponent because Atletico Madrid keep their defense tight, so Barcelona is able to appear impressive in the match, luckily Xavi used Joao Felix in this crucial match and Joao Felix was able to score a goal for his team which resulted in the victory. Lewandowski cannot be relied on as a whole because Lewandowski is not as sharp as before and Xavi can rely on Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo in the next match.

Girona is indeed in good form this season but in my opinion Girona is not as strongst as Barcelona. I am sure thats after the match against Atletico Madrid this times Barcelona will returned to wins ways, Girona was previously just a mediocre teams and Girona had already suffered a defeated when they host Real Madrid previously so in the next matches Barcelona will have greater chances of wins if can use it well.

Based on the good results Real Madrid has developed in this season, showed that they are more stronger than Barcelona because Barcelona are still struggling with third position in the la Liga league table which is not giving their fans joy in this season. Girona is really surprising people in this season with good performance to stand in the second position to drag the title with Real Madrid, and if care is not taking, they will take over the first position from Real Madrid in their remaining matches. If Real Madrid manager succeed in bring Mbappe into the team soon, I think it will improve the team more in a way many teams will be afraid of Real Madrid in any competition.

Robert Lewandowski loss is magician touched scoring goals in last three matches all competition, Alaves is the last team scored by Lewandowski and have been one month with three matches difficult for scoring goals although Xavi Hernandez keep trust him with regular position. That is a realistic target for Girona with their limited experience in La Liga, feeling on top of the league and limited player resource as well. They should simply focus on each match, try to play it with their best and don't set up too ambitious goal for this season.

Winning as many matches as possible and when the season has like 10 last match days, Girona can seriously think of what they can achieve in La Liga this season. Top four looks to be unreachable for Girona but a spot that is high enough for them to be eligible as one of representative for La Liga in Europa League or Conference League will be cool for Girona.

They will probably face with a bigger problem in a next summer transfer, when big clubs will try to buy best players in Girona and I am really sure that those players will not refuse chances to join big clubs.

The goal of winning the title won`t really derail them, if wining the title as been their drive for their excellent form this season which though i don`t think it was at first, they may just continue playing well and if they can`t get the trophy at least they can get to top 4 which will be a wonderful feat for them because everything start from the mind and they seeing themselves as title contenders will make them do more.

If they do somehow end up being anything higher than fourth ,that would be a miracle for them, I am 5100 sure they won't finish winners, but if they end up being even more than fourth, or even fourth, that's awesome.

I think Joao Felix celebrated that way because he wants to prove a point. Before the match I read in the news where he was saying he more happy at Barcelona than he was ever at Athletic Madrid. It seems that there were internal issues which we don't know, because it's not always common to see a player celebrate a goal against it's former club.

It won't be easy for Barcelona to make Joao Felix deal permanent because Atletico Madrid would demand transfer fee for him, remember Atletico Madrid bought his for a fee in the excess of 1000million dollars.
