This season the Madrid Derby competition is more exciting than El Clasico. Because after seeing Atletico Madrid successfully take revenge on Madrid, this match became a tense match. Real Madrid itself only suffered defeats and both defeats came from the Metropolitan Stadium Headquarters at Atletico Madrid. Madrid elimination from the Copa del Rey broke Ancelotti's target of achieving a treble winner that they had never achieved in their history.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Barcelona scored the full 3 points because their opponent was easier to deal with, Unionistas was not too much of a threat. So Xavi troops could control the game and from  statistics Barcelona was superior in all aspects of attack and ball control.

It is natural that Real Madrid fans feel disappointed with this defeat because Real Madrid is also chasing the Copa Del Rey trophy, but unfortunately this has failed. But Real Madrid fans should not express too deep disappointment with this defeat because Real Madrid still has the opportunity to win a more prestigious trophy, namely the La Liga trophy this season. Apart from that, Real Madrid also still has the opportunity to win the UCL trophy again if its performance continues to improve in the remainder of this season.

Real Madrid have a busy schedule and face tough opponents, they faced Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in their last two matches. So we can't really expect they can play very well three matches in a row. The good side for Real Madrid they can put their focus in both La Liga and Champions League.

Since Real Madrid were eliminated from the Copa Del Rey, which club would likely to win? I'm rooting for Atletico Madrid instead of Barcelona.

Alaves vs Cadiz

Home team Alaves had better position on league standings because they can able to occupy 13th place and currently Alaves has been collect 20 points from 5 wins and 5 draw and for their opponent Cadiz the performance of this team was very poor that during this season Cadiz only can able to collect 9 points and they only gets 2 wins and their last winning was happened on September last year when they can beat Villarreal and since that match Cadiz was never gets the winning results again until today

Indeed according to the head to head statistics i can see Cadiz has good records from Alaves but i think currently was different because if we compared the performance between these team Alaves performance was slightly better than Cadiz moreover Alaves at home was quite good because they can able to gets the winning results several times at their home ground and from total 5 wins which they got this season 4 of them came from home matches so these records is proven Alaves sometimes can able to performing well at their home and against Cadiz i think Alaves has good chance to being an the winner of this match and my prediction is Alaves can beat Cadiz but with narrow scores and Alaves has odds @1.79

The home factor turned out to be very influential for Atletico Madrid when facing European giants, even though previously Real Madrid was able to beat Atletico Madrid with a big score in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup but in the Copa del Rey Real Madrid was defeated by Atletico Madrid with the same surprising score, it turned out that Atletico Madrid really avenged their previous defeat and they took advantage of their home opportunities so well in this match that they had to knock Real Madrid out in the round of 16.

It is deeply regretted even though I thought Real Madrid could get rid of Atletico Madrid in this round like before considering Real Madrid's very good performance recently, but it turns out they had to suffer a defeat which disappointed Real Madrid fans who had high hopes for Real Madrid to win this title. Even though the Copa del Rey is not Real Madrid's priority, this title is just as important as the La Liga and Champions League titles.

Oh Lord! Even though this was the match I was most looking forward to and I actually fell asleep before the match started. I woke up when in the 88th minute and the score was tied at 2-2. I didn't expect the Madrid Derby to go into extra time again and maybe this would be a tiring match for both teams. Here Atletico had more power to win in extra time because they had more time to rest before heading into this hot derby than Real Madrid and the result was as we saw that Atletico won by scoring two other goals in this round.

Real Madrid's fatigue factor was the cause of this defeat and it was seen that several players did not appear at their best in this match. I saw Carvajal and Bellingham very tired and maybe other players felt this way too. Well, with this result Real Madrid were eliminated from the Copa Del Rey and had to accept the fact that they would not win the treble this season.

Atletico showed their class again, they forced Real Madrid to play until extra time because both teams played equally strong in normal time. Luckily, Atletico has a player like Griezmann, he managed to score a spectacular goal which put Real Madrid behind 3-2 again. The brilliant performance shown by Griezmann and other Atletico players succeeded in eliminating Real Madrid from the Copa del Rey. This victory is revenge for their defeat in the Spanish Super Cup, Atletico will compete with Barcelona, Girona, Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, Real Mallorca, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla in the quarter-final drawing.

yes obviously the results are unsatisfactory because the Unionistas are not only a weak team but the Unionistas are only competing in the 3rd caste in the Spanish league. of course the squad is far outclassed. but the main thing is for the coach to win and advance to the next round. even though the results are unsatisfactory for supporters. but for militant supporters winning 3-1 is very satisfying and encouraging. rather than rival real madrid having to be eliminated and losing to atletico madrid in the copa del rey.

It was really a tough match between these two strong opponents, Athletico Madrid demostrated strength through out the game,showing that they can't be beaten twice by thesame club.I really love how they responded to the last beating that they had at home to Madrid.It is a thing of joy that Athletico are able to beat madrid,but I doubt if that will be possible in the Laliga, perhaps Madrid didn't take this cup more seriously,thats why they allowed Athletico to get the three points in this game.From now,I will be putting an eye on this Athletico Madrid vs Madrid,because the rivalry is now becoming interesting.

Too much errors involved in the game from both sides, Real Madrid made mistakes and same goes for Atletico Madrid,  Real Madrid player saw some of the efforts they made hit the crossbar, it was same for Rodrygo and also Vini.
Alvaro Morata scoring goals this season is fantastic. He is either in the right position or the ball gets to him. Diego Simeone happy for him yesterday.  The game to finally seal it up was scored by Greezmann.
It should definitely affect Real Madrid with how they play in the next game  they have to be tired from the super cup game played last week.

Deportivo Alaves Vs Cadiz
Deportivo Alaves and Cadiz face each other in the only La Liga match today. Whatever the two teams' head-to-head stats say, Cadiz have lost their rhythm this season, failing to win all match in their last nine matches. Deportivo Alaves have won their last two La Liga matches against Sevilla and Real Betis. Deportivo Alaves have been performing quite well in recent times and play will home ground, today's match will be much tougher for Cadiz. I think both teams will score but the match will go in favor of Deportivo Alaves.

This was an unexpected victory for Atletico Madrid and with it Atletico Madrid was able to prove that their team could win and play quite well.

This is indeed very disappointing for Real Madrid fans, but in my opinion, in the next match, Real Madrid will avenge their victory and not let Atletico Madrid win again easily. And in the next match, Real Madrid will play even more than that by showing even better performance and increasingly dominating possession of the ball.

Yes, these players do have extraordinary talent. They all managed to make history while in their respective teams (Madrid & Barca). Even though he is quite old, his skills and achievements still persist to this day. So it is proven that they are very great football players and it is natural that they are expensive.
Maybe now Madrid and Barca will definitely have difficulty getting great players like them.

However, I agree with you, currently Madrid and Barca are trying other strategies. That is, not by buying expensive and great players. However, Madrid and Barca want to try to produce talented players at a cost that is not too large. Even though it requires a slightly longer process, the end result will definitely be very good too. So it just takes time and patience to get results.

And the current Girona is actually a very good example. The reason is, the price of the players is not too expensive, but they are able to provide a very epic game and managed to occupy first place in the La Liga standings for a while. Honestly, I am amazed by Girona, because in their first season entering the main vision of La Liga (2022-2023), Girona was able to finish in 10th place. And now they have succeeded in being at the top. So the point is that even cheap players, if developed, can become a very sharp spearhead. Because as far as I know, Girona's player prices are cheaper than Madrid and Barca.

Contrary to my initial prediction concerning this particular game, Diego Simeone's men have decided to go extra to make sure they win the match and eliminate Real Madrid from the Copa Dey Rey competition. After Real Madrid drew level I the game, I was of the opinion that they're gonna either win the game or it ends with a draw but unfortunately, things didn't work out the way I thought of it. Congratulations to Atletico for reaching the next round of the competition and to Real Madrid, they can now focus on the Spanish La Liga and the UEFA champions league competitions.

The game was over and Atletico Madrid with a decent scoreline, the final goal was scored by Rodrigo Riquelme in the final minutes of AET which put them safely in their condition. With this result, Atletico Madrid also managed to avenge their previous defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.

An interesting fact from my side is, I thought this match was a La Liga match which made me think that Girona was getting safer at the top of the standings, but I realized my misunderstanding when the match continued to AET.

Honestly, I don't want to comment much on Real Madrid's performance in this match since this match was a non-league match, but one thing that concerns me is that Atletico deserved to win with all the effort they put in.

Atletico Madrid finally emerged victorious, even though this was only a Copa del Rey match. I am sure that when they are in a La Liga match, Real Madrid will not let Atletico Madrid win easily. Currently,  many Real Madrid fans are very disappointed by this defeat. Even in this match, Real Madrid seemed to have dominated and provided quite good control of the ball.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid showed the audience a fiery match at the Metropolitano. With home advantage and determination to take revenge after being eliminated by Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup earlier this month. Real Madrid players encountered many difficulties against the tight playing style of the Metropolitano team. The two teams played tit-for-tat with a reasonably balanced game. Forcing the two teams to lead each other to extra time, Griezmann gave the home team the lead for the third time in this match with a goal in the 100th minute. Conceding a goal, Real rushed to attack, looking for an equalizer. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti and his team endured more pain when Rodrigo Riquelme set the score for Atletico in the 119th minute. In the end, Real Madrid received a defeat with a score of 2-4 against Atletico Madrid, thereby Real Madrid officially became the former king of the Spanish King's Cup.

Unionistas is not a strong team to stand against a team like Barcelona and this team was totally unknown to me when I heard their team this means even winning the game with a 3-1 result is not a good reason for Xavi to say they had a good performance in this match.
Barcelona lost an important match recently against Real Madrid because of their poor performance and I think even winning this match against Unionists won't have anything yet for them. Even in La Liga, Barcelona is getting far and they are not in a good situation.

It was a very tough game between both team which ended full time in draw 2-2 I expected this anyways because I knew the strength of both team is good enough to get them to a fight but then a winner is needed and that has taken them to the extra time where they ended the game  in the favour of atletico winning 4-2 after scoring two extra goals in the extra time.

Real Madrid did their very best in the first half to equalizing the first goal scores by atletico, after which atletico got a second goal and Real Madrid got another equalizer , this move was such an unhealthy one because if you are determined to winning a game then your opponent shouldn't be the one to get the first goal as that keeps you at a far disadvantage that you may end the game in a draw and that was what happened to Real Madrid, Atletico had the home advantage but it wasn't enough reason for them to win though they had a really rough win but then it was deserving too.

Athletico Madrid are really trying all they could to prove a point in this game,what I like about them in this game is how good they are in scoring,they have shown that they are a strong side too,and despite Madrid equalising it to make it 2:2,they still proved their strength by getting another goal in the added time to show that they can be dangerous too.Antone Griezman and the rest of his team mates have made it difficult for madrid in this game,and one thing I have to say is,if Athletico can continue playing like this and scoring goals like this against every team,then they can also be seen as a contender for the Lalliga tittle.
