Girona getting yet another win is definitely a big deal, those guys are doing something magical and I do not think that anyone expected them to have this kind of season at all, it is a shock to everyone, it must be at some point shock to even Girona as well, I do not think that players and the staff there expected to be this good before the season started as well, it's really cool to see them keep getting wins. They are tied at the top right now with Real Madrid and I think that's as big of an achievement as they could hope for.

I still do not think that they can hang in there, I still think that they are going to have a period where they lose points back to back and drop from the top, but it is a big achievement to be there for them even right now.
This season's Girona narrative is genuinely captivating! Still tied with Real Madrid at the summit after 10 matches? It is quite the story. By drawing parallels to their performance, it is clear that Girona's accomplishments are not the result of pure coincidence. They have displayed excellent football, complemented by an outstanding coach. Girona is proof that you dont need expensive star players to make an influence, as I've always believed. Nonetheless, Im a little anxious about the remainder of the season. It is a true endurance test, and I truly pray they dont lose steam.

I just don't understand why you keep calling it a shame when Real Madrid agrees to release him for a transfer fee during the winter transfer period. What about that is a shame as you call it, when both parties were to agree on a transfer and Modric with the consent of the Real Madrid officials leaves the club? I don't understand how something that everyone involved agrees with can also be a shame at the same time. We will very soon find out whether there are any plans for either of the parties to release Modric or for Modric to leave the club at all. This might as well be a superfluous discussion because it is no topic at all for the team and the player.
We can't blame Carlo Ancelotti for dropping the Croatia international from his starting XI this season. There's alot he's keen on handling at Santiago Bernabéu. We hoped for the very best players and achieving solid results is the ultimate priority for the club. Information circulates round the playmaker who's Luka Modric, he is aged and he's not longer effective enough to start games for Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabéu. Modrić leaving as a free agent? I don't think so because he's still part of the key project under Ancelotti and he have not given up on him.
Real Madrid already has a young and talented midfielder. Due to the presence of younger midfielders in the Real Madrid squad, Modric is starting to slowly lose his position. This fact cannot be avoided because the coach prefers younger and more powerful players. Even though Modric has experience and skills, the age factor really determines the coach's decision in drawing up his plans when his team competes.

Sooner or later Modric will part ways with Real Madrid, Modric departure does not leave as much of a hole in the Real Madrid squad as when Benzema left. Now Madrid already has a talented midfielder who can replace Modric well, so his departure does not really affect Real Madrid performance.

I understand that age is catching up with him finally. But if he truly wants to still play for Real Madrid, I don't think we can say anything bad about that as well. Because if he actually wants to do that, I believe he has earned the right to say that as well. But if we actually look at his body and the amount of time he has given in his career, I think we can easily say that he should be looking towards some other league that is less competitive or he should be thinking about retiring. Just imagine him getting tackled badly by someone like Sergio Ramos. That can end pretty badly for him. I know that is probably not gonna happen, at least not by Sergio Ramos.
However, the Real Madrid coach also has to think about the future and the team's current performance, and now it has been proven that Ancelotti is no longer giving Modric regular time. The coach wants there to be regeneration in the team to continue to have quality players in the midfield, and Real Madrid already has it.
At the age of 38, it is appropriate for Modric to retire and if not, perhaps he should go to a non-competitive league such as the Saudi Arabian league or MLS.
Modric has no intention to retire at 38,he still wants to compete, and maybe perhaps wants to still keep himself fit.He doesn't also want to go to any league that he will not be seen or any league that's not in Europe, but I personally think he is making a wrong decision because it is quite obvious that Ancelotti doesn't want to use him any more, and it won't be okay that a player of his Calibre will be begging for playing time when he can still choose from different options where he wants to continue his career if he isn't yet ready to retire. He has to look at how he is being treated, and know what to do about it rather than feel unconcerned about the situation, and lose the respect that he already has.

Currently Almeria is still stuck in the relegation zone after previously being badly beaten by Girona and in the last 10 matches they have lost 7 times. Almeria also have not won a single win in the 10 matches they have played and this makes their chances of escaping the relegation zone even more difficult. On the other hand, two other teams who had the same fate as Almeria, namely Granda and Celta Vigo, both slumped, only collecting the same 6 points. I think both Granada and Celta Vigo will each start competing next week to escape the temporary relegation zone and their distance from Mallorca, which is currently slightly better than both of them, only has 8 points, so Granada and Celta Vigo's chances can still be achieved. But that can also be done if Mallorca suffers a defeat.

Maybe this season will be a tough test for Almeria or Celta Vigo, which even last season gave their best performance before experiencing a decline at the end of the season. Meanwhile, for Granada, as one of the promoted teams this season, their fate is much worse than their compatriots, namely Alaves and Las Palmas.
maybe for teams like Almeria and Granada I can understand because this team often not consistently better and was relegated and promoted again several times but did not have any changes but for Celta its shame that this team usually far from the relegation zone but this season seems to have Its difficult to improve the quality of its players but I still believe Celta will soon improve its performance to immediately move away from the relegation zone.
Indeed, even though Celta Vigo can usually be in the middle of the standings, now they have dropped deep into the relegation zone. Could it be that the loss of its gem, Gabri Veiga, who went to a Saudi league team has had quite an impact on Celta Vigo's performance so far?

Apart from that, I think Celta Vigo has no other reason for their failure and I think they have to try again with the current squad. Maybe coach Rafael Benítez should be able to provide a new strategy for his squad because if they still use the same strategy it is likely that the results will be the same. We know that Rafael Benítez is an experienced coach and he has also coached big teams like Liverpool and Real Madrid in the past.

El Classico will be so interesting this weekend but Barcelona confirmed will play without some of their players and one of them is Lewandowski and this is home match for Barcelona and according to the head to head statistics i can see Barcelona under Xavi always had good results from Real Madrid but Madrid also has been experience to beat Barcelona at Camp Nou 4-0 last season on Copa Del Rey so this match will be so tight

But indeed from team conditions Real Madrid was more better than Barcelona because this weekend the players such as Bellingham, Vinicius or Rodrygo confirmed will be available and do not forget too they still have Joselu as supersub player who almost be scored goals everytimes he was play so in my opinion Real Madrid had good chances to win the match but Barcelona is slightly the favourite with odds @2.40 and Real Madrid @2.75

Ramos showed a different appearance when Sevilla vs Barcelona and Sevilla vs Real Madrid, he seemed to be the hero of Barcelona victory due to the own goal he scored against Sevilla. Ramos appeared fierce when Sevilla faced Real Madrid, he played very disciplined in protecting Sevilla defense. Ramos performance was extraordinary, he also recorded a score of 8.0 due to his success in protecting the Sevilla defense area from attacks by Real Madrid players.

I see Rodrygo as just a complement to Real Madrid's squad, he didn't help Real Madrid much in this match, Real Madrid seemed to be playing with 10 players.
It was just a coincidence in my opinion and there is no way Sergio Ramos intended to do that, anyone would be faced with that situation and there is no way to avoid it. Sergio Ramos' performances against Barcelona and Real Madrid were both good and he always worked hard to thwart his opponents' chances of scoring goals. Apart from that, the support of defenders and also helped Sergio Ramos quite a bit in maintaining this position, so that they only conceded two goals in these two big matches. But in the match against Arsenal they had to suffer defeat and it made it even more difficult for them to qualify for the next phase of the Champions League because they had only collected two points.

Rodrigo is not playing like usual and I watch Real Madrid matches very often and usually he plays much better than against Sevilla and always helps build attacks. The draw achieved by Real Madrid meant that their chances of moving away from points with their rivals failed and they are currently only one point behind Girona and Barcelona.

17 years old and made one winning goal. Yes, I am quite amazed by this young man. Marc Guiu came on and in the 33rd second he scored, this was his senior debut game. This goal also gave Barcelona a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao. Perhaps this is also the luck of the injured Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong. Marc Guiu took Xavi off his players and gave him minutes in place of Fermin Lopez. I don't think Xavi and Guiu are lucky, but this gives Guiu a lot of confidence.

Soon we are going to have Barcelona against Real Madrid and this game is very important for both teams because this time Real Madrid is in a better situation than Barcelona and they got expensive players like Jude Bellingham who is really talented and he even scored goals for this team instead of the forwards.
But the situation for Barcelona is not good at all and since Lewandowski is injured, Xavi asked the teams to make this player ready for this great match they are going to have against Real Madrid.

We still do not know which player will return back to the list of players for the Champions league  match at home today for Barcelona and same for El Clasico  to be held during the week. Among this list absentee are players like Lewandowski, De Jong,  Raphina and Pedri.
Tonight doesn't look good for them to be back playing for hopes are now on the game against Real Madrid.
Xavi has said no excuses would be given when they play today and weekend during the press conferences. If Barcelona players won't return the players who Xavi used against Bilbao will not be bake to win Madrid.

Modric is 38 years old. That is a very old age for a professional football player. I think Saudi Arabia is a good choice because apart from being able to compete there, clubs in Saudi Arabia also offer big salaries to every European star player. Inter Milan is not a good choice for Modric because he has reached the end of his career. It would be nice to have some time with the family and a lot of money by playing in the Saudi Pro League.

It would not be the right choice for Modric to continue his career as a player and also, it is natural that Modric is often on the bench at this time at Real Madrid. Because after all, Real Madrid has regenerated squad and of course, this is the right way for Real Madrid to consistently play with its young squad. So yes, even if Modric leaves later, the Real Madrid squad is in good shape of course . So, that doesn't mean Modric is no longer needed because after all, Real Madrid also has to do this for a good long-term squad. So yes, I think it would be more appropriate if Modric chose to retire as a Real Madrid player at the end of the season. However, if Modric still has big ambitions to continue playing, then of course the Saudi League is the right choice with a lot of money to be earned before retiring.
Age is slowly catching up with him, but he remains an exceptional player. However, age spares no one. He has significantly slowed down at a time when the game has gotten faster. Nevertheless, his presence among the young squad is a great learning opportunity. He clearly recognized that this season's competition would be tough, despite knowing the fact he turned down proposals from Saudi Arabia. But if he continues to play, and honestly, it's a joy to watch him on the field.

I understand that age is catching up with him finally. But if he truly wants to still play for Real Madrid, I don't think we can say anything bad about that as well. There have been speculations about Modric being invited by Cristiano Ronaldo to Al Nassr for quite a long time, but until now the news has not happened, recently Madrid management said that they would not intend to sell Modric to an Arab club even in January 2024 transfer market, but I am sure those words will not last long, so far Modric's playing time has decreased drastically, he may have to insist on moving if Madrid continues to keep him, Modric is one of the world's greatest midfielders even though he is no longer young, the team that got him is very lucky.
for some reason, I think a lot of people are speculating that Modric will leave Real Madrid and join the Saudi Arabian team, while we forget something that Modric is one of the key players in Madrid and this team will not possibly sell this player because after all his talent is still really needed at Real Madrid and seeing from Modric behavior he is still very comfortable here and does not want to leave Madrid.

Luka Modric is a key player in Real Madrid even though he is getting older and will be substituted at the end. In today's game in Champions League, he was present since the beginning and played full time. He just has to keep good performance to get longer time to play. Obviously this will not prevent Real Madrid from switching him but it will delay it a bit. Modric has to think about his future and where he is willing to spend the remaining years of his career. I find Saudi Pro League as a good place to earn money and join old friends.
Indeed have rumored he will sell to Saudi Pro League teams but he still important player for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti tactician, but waiting when winter window transfer opening will Madrid's management sell him or keep him until his contract over at the end this season. He has good contribution for Real Madrid and still not loss his opportunity get more minute playing, in last Champion League match against Sporting Braga he played full until 90 minutes and seems how trust Carlo Ancelotti for him although he has been over age.
During Luka Modric performance still consistent I don't think have reason why should sell him in next window transfer opening, better waiting until his contract over and looking forward with option extend one year contract or not.

Of course, if a player is sold by a club, of course the club management and the player will have found an agreement before they sell him. I think a team needs to regenerate for their progress and management will definitely do that to be able to advance the team in each season. So, if we talk about Modric, of course he has advantages with real madrid because he is a senior player in the team and he is also quite an influential player in the real madrid team. But real madrid already has a replacement with younger energy and whose qualities are not much different from him. So if Modric leaves real madrid in this transfer window this winter it will definitely be a good decision for him and for the team and real madrid will certainly give a big celebration in their farewell if he goes to another club but if he chooses to stay until the end of his contract and Choosing to retire at real madrid means he is a player who has quite high loyalty to the team.

Probably the most anticipated game for the upcoming week. Im not even doubting how the el classico will become a way for the young talented players of barcelona to fight against real madrid. Barcelona will be playing without lewandowski.

I do see that how struggle barcelona with felix as a striker. This guy is worst in the positioning. It doesn't even make sense to bet barcelona on this match. Lewandowski has always become a hero to help barcelona won against real madrid in the previous el classico but this time may be so difficult for barcelona. Playing without lewandowski willnot be only affecting the performance from barcelona but it will also decrease the chance rate for barcelona in scoring against el real.

Real madrid will come with fully squad against barcelona. Bellingham can try to show his beast instinct to scores as many goals as possible. Im really waiting for this moment to come.
Finally, we are not far away from the el classico for this season. It's likely real madrid is going to win the game easily against barcelona.

If the rumor was true, it is a great chance for Modric to continue his career in Al Nassr. He must get a bigger salary and he will be the main player again in Al Nassr. If he continues to stay in Real Madrid, he is getting rarely to play because Real Madrid has too many good midfielders. Moreover, the young midfielders of Real Madrid already perform as expected. I am sure Real Madrid will consider to sell Modric if there is an interesting offer from Al Nassr in the next transfer window. But I a bit doubt that Al Nassr really wants to hire Modric due to his current age. He is already 38 years old, and seems hard to maintain his good fitness in the next few years. I guess Modric only can play in a good level in the next 2 years. He probably considers to retire when he reaches 40.

When his contract expires, he will certainly consider several options for his benefit but for now, there are even rumors that he has been approached by several Arab clubs for winter transfers in January, but in several statements it seems that Modric does not want to leave too soon and Real Madrid CEO, Jose Angel Sanchez also expects that Modric will be retained until the end of the season.
It would be great if Modric is retained until the end of the season at least because in this case even though he is no longer young but Modric's influence in Madrid's midfield is still very large so it would be ashame if he was allowed to leave.

It wouldn't be a shame if he was allowed to leave. I think both sides, the player and the club have deep mutual respect. It is obvious that the club has done a lot for Modric and Modric has done a lot for the club. If he really wanted to leave Real Madrid and politely asked for a solution in the upcoming winter, and if Real Madrid decides that they could handle Modric leaving the club as he will leave a small gap, I am sure they would give him the go if the right offer is made. He isn't satisfied at the moment and there are a lot of young players now occupying the midfield of Real Madrid. Even Kroos has to sit on the bench sometimes. This won't change much I guess. But whether Modric is a guy who wants to play in Saudi Arabia, I am not so sure.
They will definitely part ways and that is an unchangeable certainty, but I don't expect Modric to be released in January because he would still be a shame if he was allowed to leave too soon, especially in the middle of the season.
For the end of this season the possibility of him leaving will not be a problem even though there will definitely be a gap left but Madrid can still prepare to optimize the squad well but for the middle of this season it is too fast so indeed I think it will be the wrong decision if Modric is allowed to leave in the winter transfer break this time.

I just don't understand why you keep calling it a shame when Real Madrid agrees to release him for a transfer fee during the winter transfer period. I doubt Modric will want to join a league like that, which many people have labelled as a money-making league. A league where players go to make money rather than for the pure joy of playing football.
Exactly, It was once rumored that Modric would follow Ronaldo to Al Nasr, but Modric clearly rejected the offer and avoided it. He is not yet interested in going there and still wants to continue to focus on Real Madrid. Moreover, Modric is one of the top midfielders who is still strengthening Real Madrid. So, it is exactly doubtful to move there after his statement.

Basically, of course Xavi as a coach will look closely at the condition of his injured players. And will not force these conditions. However, if you look at the current situation and condition of some of the injured players, there is a possibility that some of their mainstay players such as Lewandowski, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Raphinha will be able to join to strengthen the team during El Classico. However, this is not yet certain because after all there are still a few days and Xavi must really make sure his players are ready and all recovered.

Modric is part of Anceloti's strategy. He is still retained to give rest time to other players. Even though he came on as a substitute, he is a player who still has good physique and stamina. Anceloti has started a lot of games without Modric, so Anceloti has been thinking about giving other players a lot of opportunities. That was evident this season Modric started many games from the reserves. I think this season break Anceloti should look for a new midfielder and striker, or maybe Guller is a new midfielder option. But Guller's typical is very different from Modric's.
As old as he is he still creates a good impact for the teams, he plays brilliant football and made it easy for Realmadrid,it seems Ancelotti knew he needed Modric's experience that's why he featured him againt Braga, it was suprising to see that modric played the full 90 mins and created alot of impact for his team, though he didn't score or give assists like he does but he was good with his passes and deliver fine crosses from the midfield to the attack.

Though they got Guller this summer but he's still very young and inexperienced though he's talented but I think he's not ready yet to be a starter, he has to becoming from the bench in the 2nd  half while he learns from the likes of Modric and Toni kroos, however before Modric retires from Realmadrid guller might have got lost of experience and should be very ready to make an impact as a starter in Madrid.

Luka modric is aged now. I see no point from real madrid to keep him much longer at this time. Real madrid can find a good replacement for him. Real madrid has so many great midfielders but these midfielders are only lack of regular time to play.
~snip~

By looking at the response given by the current officials who still expect Modric to stay at the Bernabeu, it seems that he will indeed stay at Madrid at least until the end of this season considering Modric's role in Madrid's midfield is still very vital and it will be a loss if Modric leaves in the middle of the season. Although there are several other players who can be an option to cover the void left by Modric because Madrid's current young players are still very good like Camavinga but still he will still be very difficultto eliminate even though his current age is geting older but his performance is not inferior to the current young players owned by Madrid.
