At first I was also surprised but after thinking about it again Barcelona in La Liga did seem to have difficulty from the last 6 matches only winning 1 time. So basically it is not necessary to expect Barcelona to win against Real Madrid. I am even surprised that Lewandowski and Raphinha who were always on fire in the match against Getafe were not seen at all. Only passing here and there was not clear, plus Getafe managed to provoke the emotions of Barcelona players to get out of their tactics.
Even in the midst of the challenge they still manage to be able to have a good struggle against Madrid.  But their recent struggle in the la liga for me will not really be reflection of their possible performance in the Champions League League this season,  I'm expecting that Barcelona literally gets to be able  fix the challenge they are suffering and do better in the Champions League maybe they could make it priority.
Barcelona having no consistency which is their biggest problem when fans feel now they are back on their best things take changes, and they lost their rhythm which bring them down after having amazing win against Real Madrid in Super Cup fans were excited and having good feeling about their chances into La Liga. But, this draw brings them back into their problematic era with now four games without any win in La Liga mean now they have to stay at fourth spot for a while and also have to wait for both Madrid teams lost points which allow them to have any chance for jumping above.

Real Madrid is having good improvement in performance which allow them to keep top spot and have 7 points difference from Barcelona, but Atlético Madrid will surely keep pressure on them and this title race is going to be one of the most exciting for all La Liga fans.

Barcelona continue to make their fans sad.  Sad  Another point loss and they got only 2 points in their last 4 league games. This is very alarming for the title competition honestly.

They are already 5 points behind Atletico Madrid and 7 points behind Real Madrid. Not an impossible situation to recover from maybe but things are likely to get worse if they continue to lose points.

I don't know what's wrong recently. Hansi Flick is great at beating Real Madrid by huge score differences but he fails to win easier games these days...
I said this last time that I'm not convinced with the goals they scored in their last two matches against their biggest rival Real Madrid and Real Betis because they have done it in the past when they played, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and we all thought they are back on track but at the end, they failed their fan by declining in their performance. I wasn't expecting that kind of result from them after winning massively with many goals in their last two matches. Real Betis are even ahead of Getafe in the table which gave me more confidence in their victory. Barcelona have disappointed their fans because this draw is making the points gap wider and is making them fill sad because they are beginning to lose hope in the title race, currently Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are gradually moving and competing for the title, none of them can be pointed as title winner until the end of the season.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised with Barcelona's recent performance. They looked very tough when they played against Real Madrid and they even completely devoured Real Madrid, but strangely, they seem to lose their teeth when playing against teams they should be able to beat. There seems to be a problem with their motivation and mentality because they are so passionate and tempestuous when they are facing Real Madrid, but that motivation seems to disappear if the opponent is another team.

Could it be that they are underestimating their opponents because of their win over Real Madrid?
This is really surprising. When they can beat Real Madrid by a big margin, they are failing to bring victory from relatively weak team. I think this creates an embarrassing situation for the fans as well. If we look at the current performance of La Liga, then it is definitely unlikely that Barcelona will win there. They are losing points by losing and drawing repeatedly. It is now very easy to guess the form that they are trying to get back. Yesterday, Barcelona could not win the match despite scoring an early goal against Getafe. If this is their bad situation against Getafe, then how did they win against Real Madrid? Does this mean that they really do not give much importance to playing against smaller teams? This is the question that many people are asking right now.

Saying that Barcelona are out of the title competition would be too much for now. Yeah they are falling behind more. But there are still 18 more weeks to go. It isn't impossible to come back like I said. They just need to regain their best shape again. It depends on Hansi Flick's skills.  Smiley

Yeah I agree with you, we cannot be sure who will win the title and Barcelona is still in the race, left behind 7 points are not impossible to be pursued I mean bad days can come to any team. Since the first match we can see several teams taking first place then the next few weeks the other team took over and this week Real Madrid did it well Barcelona also has a chance even though the chances are lower. Which is an important note related to Barcelona's opportunities we can see some of their players on the top score list Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha then there is Lamine Yamal on the top assist list this means that Barcelona has everything that is needed to fight.

I wonder why Getafe is always stealing points from Barcelona, and Barcelona hasn't found out a way to overcome that problem. On the other hand, Madrid performance was superb yesterday and they were able to score four goals with countless goal attempts in that match. I hope that Madrid will be able to stay on the top spot of the table till the end of the season.
It's incredible that Barcelona has failed to win Getafe in their turf for some seasons now. It really affected them in their recent encounter as Barcelona took the lead in the 9th minutes but failed to keep the lead as Getafe put in serious effort to force an equalizer in the 34th minutes and held on to one point at the end of the game. This recent performance from Barcelona has ultimately lost the league title to Real Madrid. I know Madrid with their current performance will be able to win the title again this season.

I'm feeling Barca might be out from the title race. Their outright odds really represent their position in the league. They're not good nor bad, but they're missed to many points, which make them stayed below duo Madrid.

Barcelona had good start, terrible at mid and late season. They're now very close to the ATM's odds, and may be going bigger in the coming weeks. I think it's very wise if they sacrifice La Liga to focus on UCL. They have no chance anymore to overcome madrid or even surpassed it.

Saying that Barcelona are out of the title competition would be too much for now. Yeah they are falling behind more. But there are still 18 more weeks to go. It isn't impossible to come back like I said. They just need to regain their best shape again. It depends on Hansi Flick's skills.  Smiley

Let's talk about Ancelotti as well a little. There is an interesting behavior of him that I don't like at all. Let's take the Las Palmas game as an example. They got 3-1 ahead in an early part of the game. But he still waited for too long to sub in some really great young talents into the game. What's the reason for this wait?  Huh  The opponent was weak and they already had a good score advantage. I don't like the way Ancelotti treats the youngsters.

Barcelona has shown impressive performance since the beginning of the season and even they performed extraordinarily when facing big teams such as Bilbao and Madrid, but indeed their performance should be doubtful when facing small teams that they should be able to beat easily, I actually see that Barcelona performance declined after Dani Olmo problems emerged,  Because before the emergence of these problems, Barcelona appeared quite consistently in every match, is it possible if these problems are a factor in Barcelona's current poor performance?
The inconsistency that has occurred in the last few games has left them behind Madrid, so I think if Hansi Flick does not find a solution soon then they will most likely be out of the race for the La Liga title this season.
After watching the matches against Real Madrid and Real Betis, I was fully optimistic that Barcelona would return to La Liga with a great form. But even after a long break, Barcelona is back to its previous form. I don't understand their problem at all, why do they perform so badly against smaller teams after dominating and winning matches against strong teams? They are now fighting or struggling for the 3rd position in the points table. A team that was at the top of the points table is struggling to hold on to the 3rd position! This really surprises me.

The points table in La Liga has now become a bit competitive. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will fight for the top position and Atletico Club and Barcelona will fight for the 3rd position. The gap between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid is 2 points. Although Atletico Madrid was ahead of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid lost in the end and fell slightly behind in the race for the top spot. Barcelona and Atletico Club are tied for 39 points in 3rd and 4th place. Barcelona is ahead in 3rd place due to Barcelona's lead in GD. One of them will be eliminated from this competition by losing a match.

In the 20th week we were surprised by Atletico Madrid's defeat to Leganes. Unexpectedly, Leganes was able to stop Atletico Madrid's previous unbeaten winning record, which was 15 consecutive matches in all competitions. They did have to lose points in that match which made their position at the top of the standings have to be shifted by Real Madrid. On the other hand, Real Madrid who previously had to suffer defeat in the Spanish Super Cup seems to be starting to forget about it and is more focused on how to continue their position at the top of the standings until the end of the season.

As for Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, they collected the same points, namely 39 points. and it seems that Barcelona's consistency is again shaken, and if this can continue until the next few matches, maybe their position in 3rd place in the standings will be shifted in the near future.

Breaking news. I don't know how true it is but Fabrizio Romano has entered the news.
Breaking: Carlo Ancelotti has decided to LEAVE Real Madrid at the end of the season, reports Onda Cero!

If this happens, who could Real Madrid bring in to replace him? Ancelotti was very successful there. It's rumored that the management wants to replace him with Xabi Alonso. But these are just rumors for now.
I think Real Madrid should continue with Ancelotti. But if he leaves, Alonso would be a very good choice.

Fabrizio Romano is the best football journalist in the world. If he published a news report, it is very likely to be true in my eyes. Because he has been accurate many times before. I think Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers in Real Madrid history. But the need for change always arises for everyone. It might be time for a change for both Real Madrid and Ancelotti. I think Xabi Alonso would be a very good choice for Real Madrid. Last season he had a great season in the Bundesliga. And this season he proved that last season was not a chance.
I also saw the news on Fabrizio Romano's social media account and because I know how genuine most of his reports ends up to be, I became worried as a Real Madrid fan. Carlo Ancelotti since he returned to Real Madrid have achieved great success as a manager which is why many of the club fans wouldn't be happy to see him leave.
Another big issue is it'll be very difficult for the club president Florentino Perez to find a good replacement for the Italian manager of he leaves at the end of the season. Will his departure make Zinedine Zidane return to the club or will Perez go for current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso to replace Ancelotti? Time I think will tell

Barcelona have been in a struggling state but when it comes to them playing against Real Madrid they are always beating them but when it comes to other club they are always finding it very difficult and we all thought that getting a new coach should be a permanent solution to there problems but at some point they were looking very okay but at the end of everything looks different and they are falling back to were they started from and I wonder what will be there permanent solution.

Lewandowski is one of the most perfect players that Barcelona will not forget because of how dedicated he is and even with is age who would have believed that he will still be able to perform well so there won't be much need for another coach because it's now as if it's not working because everything is looking different now and I know they will try all they can.

And Real Madrid is now on 46 point and I just have a feeling that Madrid is still up to the task of winning the league, the struggle is becoming to much and we can not even do anything about it and there is a lot of things have seen before this game thay Madrid have higher chances of winning.

I think Real Madrid should continue with Ancelotti. But if he leaves, Alonso would be a very good choice.
His current contract is going to end at the end of 2026, but maybe he is feeling not good due to some recent criticism, and he decided after end of this season leaving this job is better at the end of this season he could be 66 which is also near retirement but if he wants he can do this job for few more years.

He is one of the legendary coaches in UEFA due to his amazing success and great skills which always keep him at the top in every competition but in this season after winning double things were not going good, and Real Madrid is also not consistent with this sudden decision we have two names who can replace him at the Real Madrid. Most Probably Zidane but now as announcement came about France national coach is also leaving which is his most wanted job so here confusion and other candidate is Xabi Alonso who is doing good job at Bayer Leverkusen and can take this spot as well.
It is not certain, although I think there is a possibility that Ancelotti will end his contract earlier than agreed. We know that Ancelotti has been under a lot of pressure lately, but the fact is that they still have the opportunity to achieve success in La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. He is indeed too old, and he may choose to retire, regardless of the results he will achieve this season. Besides, if Ancelotti does leave, Xabi Alonso is certainly a candidate worth considering. Zidane clearly interested in coaching the French national team, but that is still a long way off, because Didier Deschamps plans to retire after the 2026 World Cup.

Barcelona started on a good note from the start of the season due to their impressive performance which lead them to top the laliga table for some time but I don't personally know what happened to them because this was one team that was doing great but suddenly they gave up the  lead that they were having on the top of the league I think there main problem is sustainability of their form because they are up their with a good result and the next day they are struggling and you can't go far with that kind of performance

But looking at this Barcelona side I think they raises their game when it comes to bigger opponents because with the way they had dispatched the big sides when it comes to the league it's commendable but I don't know what happens to them because when ever Barcelona comes up against smaller oppositions in the league they tends to struggle just like this weekend game that they draw against smaller opponents

For me it doesn't matter, because Ancelotti will still finish this season and has made that statement. With this statement, it will certainly allow Real Madrid to have time to get the best choice to appoint a new coach later. After all, Ancelotti's contract also ends in June 2026 and that means, Ancelotti will end it earlier and I don't think it's a problem either.

But indeed, related to this case, the previous issue about Xabi Alonso will rise again, because this season the issue faded because Bayer Leverkusen's performance was also not as good as last season. But even so, Xabi Alonso still managed to make Bayer Leverkusen recover, and it also shows that Xabi Alonso is still worthy of being a Real Madrid coach later with his impressive experience with Bayer Leverkusen.

It seemed Barca made a big mistake by replacing Xavi with Flick. I personally think it was a wrong move. I like Flick, but he's not as good as Xavi. He has been one of coach who can't achieve 40 points from 20 matches. He has been one of worst coach in the history of Barcelona.

I thought Barcelona could be even more stable if they defended Xavi to stay there, but a big mistake to sack him out. It must a wake up call for Laporta if his club did a wrong thing.

Barcelona won a trophy with flick, but it's not good enough.

I still can't believe 100% with various news, but indeed some top media even like goal.com, Forbes, and some other top media also reported this, which was originally sourced from @Onda Cero, only how factual and reliable the source is, we still have to wait until the official announcement by them. What is clear, in his contract, Carlo Ancelotti's contract is still until June 30, 2026. However, if he does decide to leave Real Madrid, then maybe there are other strong reasons.

No yet official announcement and news from Ancelotti or Real Madrid directly.
Only news from several media, still needs official announcement later.

As far as about manager replacement, I believe that still Angelotti are far better than any other according to his statics vice, and under his management still we are on top of the table and soon will lift the trophy. But if it really need to be, then the best possible manager for them in my view will be their own former player Xavi Alonso. Because he already had done his management job with the Bayer Leverkusen in recent past and proven himself to deserve for real Madrid coaching. He already knew that how to used real Madrid and how does it would work effectively due to same tactics of counter attack and high press which he has mostly used in Leverkusen. Angelotti are still doing well although form the starting of the season Real Madrid were not really good due to injuries suspect. So again I will suggest Bring  Xabi Alonso as a replacement of Angelotti is worthy but I don't think it's the right time to replace him.

Right, it's a shame that Barcelona lost full points when visiting Getafe's headquarters. as a result they had to be satisfied with sharing 1 point, but this is football, not always a strong or solid team will always win every match. as happened to Barcelona, when they played against Madrid they appeared impressive. but when they played against Getafe they had difficulty scoring goals, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, were unable to tear through the opposing team's goal. actually it doesn't mean they underestimated their opponent, it's just that Barcelona had difficulty penetrating Getafe's goal. proven from 21 total shots Barcelona only had 6 big chances, and only one of them could be converted into a goal by Jules Kounde. what is certain is that this result again is an evaluation material for Hansi Flick, he must review the performance of his team, especially with Gavi and Lewandowski, these two players did not play as they should.
This loss could be a learning experience for Hansi Flick, giving him a chance to reassess his team and at the same time consider the weaker team as stronger and prepare accordingly. Before playing against a team lower in the points table, practice with each player in the team and have a proper idea of each level of the field, which is planned according to the capabilities of his team. I think there may be a weakness in making the right judgments before the match with Getafe, besides you have to rely on luck to win the match to a large extent. You should never underestimate the capabilities of the opponent and I have noticed that great players like Lamine Yamal and Raphinh could not return with an offensive strategy and were a stumbling block for Getafe's defense. It is certainly worth noting that the opposing team coach Jose Bordalas has given each of the Barcelona players a lot of practice with each of the team's players, which has yielded results.

You are right.. Hansi Flick should really learn from mistakes like this because if he keeps repeating the same thing then I doubt if Barcelona will have a chance to compete for the title. The problems he faced were quite complicated, starting from financial problems and even player registration, but because he has agreed to be Barcelona's coach, that is a consequence he must bear. For that, he must immediately find a solution, because if it takes too long, the gap in the standing could grow even further apart.
