I haven't been so shocked in my life like the day I realized Madrid lost 4:2 to Girona...that too has contributed to the big slag on the table. I am surprised at the spring towards goal myself. Atletico Madrid has been a team you could always bet on in gambling to score less goals under 2.5 in the goal market or they can easily come by a draw. These days, that's not the case any more.
They seem to score 3-4 goals and there goal scoring often starts right from the first half. I Sort of did hope they could draw with Barcelona when they played but, Barcelona still showed who's boss in the game and though Atletico Madrid lost to dismay of Real Madrid, they didn't have a bad performance.

As I previously suspected that if it didn't end in a draw then one of the teams would score in the remaining time and it seems that Barcelona were lucky enough to have the opportunity to get those 3 additional points through a goal scored by Jordi Alba. Maybe if Osasuna managed to hold on to a draw at least they would still get 1 point, but it seems they weren't so lucky in this match. Lewandowski is again without a goal and the provisional score list for this week will still not change because Benzema did not play against Sociedad today. In the next match I think it will be even more exciting for these two strikers to fight for the la liga golden boots.

Barcelona always has trouble finding goals when their opponents are very focused on defending and counterattacking. Barcelona's strategies tend to be easy for their opponents to read, but it's always possible for Barcelona to find a solution because of the individual quality of the players they have.

Lewandowski basically scored a goal in that match, but unfortunately it was disallowed because Ferran was caught offside. Of course it would be a shame if in the end Lewandowski failed to win the top scorer award if Benzema had not stopped scoring goals in every match. Today Benzema had the chance to try to match Lewandowski's goalscoring tally, but I don't think Real Sociedad are an easy opponent to beat. The match is still a goalless draw, but I think both teams can score today.

One of the most surprising things about Barcelona's current home match against Osasuna is the excellent defense of the visitors. Barcelona beat the Osasuna defense very tightly, but they still struggled to find their first goal.

But wait, you might see how good Barcelona's statistics are in this match. They have dominated attacks, ball possession, shots, but no goals yet. I believe Barcelona will secure 3 points at home today, the chances of winning are still very high even though the match is almost over.

Also, Madrid have a final to play against Osasuna this weekend and they may rest a couple of their players for that final. They will also be thinking of the UCL clash with Man City so their might not be high intensity from Madrid.

Yeah they have a really busy schedule and if ancelotti does not thread carefully he might end up getting everything wrong. Madrid are currently having a champions league match to play which is very vital and also like you have already mentioned a cup finals with osasuna so the possibility of them losing this fixture with real sociedad is quite big because its better to lose in the league which they know is far beyond their reach and focus on other competition which they can potentially win.
