Agree with you that Barcelona didn't take this match with Valladolid very seriously but losing a 3:1 to a team like Valladolid is not a good team for a team like Barcelona who's the champions already because it will affect their record on the league already even though they have won it. About the goal that was score by Lewan, it's surely a great thing for him because he added to his number of goals and he's going to win double in his first season wieh Barcelona winning the league and becoming the highest goal scorer is indeed an individual achievement thst is worth it so I think he's goal really means a lot to him even though Barcelona lost the game and to Valladolid, I think they needed the winning more to see them escape the relegation zone and winning Barcelona has seen them move to 17th in the table I believe they are hoping to move out of relegation if they get a win in their next match.

Barcelona were the same in terms of controlling the ball at a huge percentage. But the difference was that they weren't effective as for finishing. But this doesn't matter for me at all so I wouldn't have been surprised if they conceded 5 goals instead. Because they had no goal to achieve and this was one of the matches they played for nothing.

Valladolid were really good at creating counter-attacks against their opponent here. For example their 3rd goal came just like that after a through ball. Barcelona defense wasn't very tight which helped them a lot. No matter what winning against the champion team should be a huge motivation source for Valladolid to stay in the La Liga.

By the way I appreciated Lewandowski's goal very much as well because his angle was really bad actually.

Sometimes I wonder why things don't seem to work out just the way it was planned...my imaginations normally lead me to understanding that - apparently, players do train well under a good orientation - just that some things were meant to be just the way it is.
Xavi shouldn't be giving up by this time when he knows he's only got a limited time to make his team the best... Most other times, I think he should also try making use of other formations and strategies. Valladolid has really been pressing on since FIRST half and I feel barca could have a chance, who knows?

They seem like a very good team in terms of attack but quite bad in finishing in this competition.
15 attempted kicks only 5 on target so far which makes this a little regrettable. Including Dembele has also not seen his contribution so far and this may be another defeat for them.

as you said that barcelona really lost control after they locked the Laliga title because in the previous match they lost to Real Sociedad and in today match where Valladolid managed to lead 2-0 for the first half. The motivation is a little less and this is really not very good actually if you look at the current conditions for Barcelona because if they continue this trend they will take a little too long to get up.

It usually happens once a team are declared champions, so I am not surprised that they are being led by 2 goals to zero at half-time. The players tend to relax as there is no more motive to play for hard except maybe play for pride.

On the other hand Real Valladolid is in a relegation battle. A win tonight puts them 3 points above the relegation zone but with a one more game played than the other teams.

As I said it is about finding the right dosage. You want players to have a break and therefore you rotate between those who always play and those who are more often substitutional players, but again you also don't want to take someone out for too long. This discussion is similar to the problem that PSG is having. The play in Ligue 1 and everything is easy and out of a sudden the opponent is called Bayern or Manchester City and then they have problems to adjust to the new situation because they aren't facing that challenge permanently.

Some players even insist on playing because they feel it is better for them and I can understand that.

But I agree with you, when you take out De Bruyne for example, that is no problem because he doesn't need any time to get into the game with his maximum again. But there are other players who have more trouble to find their optimal form once they are coming from the bench a couple of times.

Well, professional players do get a lot of additional recovery when they even skip only game. It is not like with normal people. Their body conditioned to perform high and recovery quickly with all the additional support from therapists.
