I also have to congratulate Barcelona and its fans after they managed to confirm the La Liga title in yesterday's derby match. I'm really surprised Espanyol fans don't give the respect they deserve to Barcelona who have managed to get back on track with the championship, but emotions have not been suppressed by the rivalry.

Barcelona of course has a tough task next season if they force the arrival of several new players. Barcelona's financial condition is in trouble, they have to adjust salaries and maybe extend the contracts of some old players. Xavi has got a great job, but if Barcelona are struggling to find a budget, then Barcelona also don't have a higher chance in the Champions League next season.

The game was easy but the fact that Barceloan managed to be this good at the league and not so much at UCL and europa still bugs me, that still means something. The first title since Messi left, and it didn't take that long, they lost it just last year and won it back again this year, which is awesome to show that they can be good without Messi too, many (and sometimes including me) doubted that, but they did it anyway. Now they have 2 things to consider, first of all they are still in huge financial trouble, they can't keep postponing it, they need to face that eventually.

Secondly, they need to figure out how to get better at European competitions, just the league wide success is nothing and they can't just be happy about that.

I can say also that Xavi has started to prove himself to the team. However there is still a point waiting to be proven for him which is a success in the Champions League. Because in the recent two seasons Barcelona were really bad there. They had huge struggles against big teams which led them to finish the group stage in a bad way. This just can't go on like this anymore for Barcelona.

The supporters have the right to want much more than Barcelona because this team have a much bigger potential. Winning the La Liga title is of course great for them now. In the end, they weren't becoming the champions here since their last time in the 2018/19 season.

But next time not only the supporters but also the board would be expectant about the Champions League much more than now.
