Well, Real Madrid didn't have very good stats in the game with Girona. Out of 6 games Real managed to win only two and one draw, and three games Real lost to Girona. Moreover, Girona was able to score 13 goals in 6 games, which is a great pace, so much Madrid usually does not score.
Castallanos is the only player in 75 years who in La Liga could score 4 goals to Real in one game, the last time it happened in 1947!

What is interesting in the Champions League not so long ago Robert Lewandowski, who now plays for Barcelona, scored 4 goals for Real in one game in 2013, in the match between Real and Borussia.
So Real apparently faced a not very comfortable opponent, which had to be beaten to fight for the title, but unfortunately for Real ended badly.

Castellanos is not a famous player but he just had a best match in his career (I am really sure about that). Scoring goals against Real Madrid is difficult but he made a poker that is barely seen even with super star players like Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Mbappe or Haaland. He scored that poker with a weak team against a giant team that makes its high value for his personal record.

He had a great match but his four goals were contributed by Real Madrid poor defense. With this defense, Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti will have many things to adjust before two semi finals with Manchester City.

Barcelona are already the champions, what a disappointing result for real Madrid yesterday, loosing to Girona 4-1, nobody saw it coming, Real Madrid have really been poor this season, but once it comes to the champions league they play in another dimension, Real Madrid know the Spanish Laliga is out of their reach already, and no team is strong enough to take that second position from them, so even if they play really bad they are still sure of qualifying for champions league. They are good in the champions league even when they are in a bad form they still manage to win the champions league but this time is not going to be possible, because Manchester City are definitely going to stop them.

You have my words dude. Real Madrid didn't perform well in any aspect of the game today. Following their busy schedule with many matches during this period, it's difficult to expect them to consistently produce good results, especially in La Liga matches where their main rival, Barcelona, has already secured the Laliga trophy. Real Madrid were favorites against Girona but it never crossed my mind that they would lose this match. I thought Real Madrid will win this match and they will reduce the 11 point gap they have with Barcelona and bring the point gap to 8.
But Real Madrid missed a big chance. You always have to take advantage of such teams but Real Madrid failed there. Girona scored two goals against Real Madrid before half time. I am a real madrid fan and I watch real madrid games regularly so I believed that either way real madrid will come back in the second half.

When V. Júnior scored in the 34th minute, I felt some relief and thought maybe Real Madrid had come back. But Real Madrid's defenders failed to stop a player who single-handedly scored four goals as Real Madrid beat Real Madrid by a massive 4-2 margin.V. Castellanos performed really well against Real Madrid.

But I doubt if Girona is able to maintain the winning trend in the upcoming matches because the team above them has one chance to widen the gap in points this week.

Barcelona is a more relaxed team. They don't play in the European cup and so the league will be very focused and maybe they will want to declare the title a few weeks early. Real Madrid will have to focus on the Champions League. They won't want to think about the league anymore, as this defeat is a defeat that will take them out of the race mentally. Girona, on the other hand, got a really important win. Let's see if they can get 6th place, it's difficult for them but not impossible.
