The media out there are trying to twist the facts to attract attention by linking Rodri and Madrid. But we all understand the situation Madrid doesn't really like the player as you said about the Ballon d'Or boycott. So I wouldn't believe the media linking this issue, Madrid are realistic and will look for other players rather than signing a player who openly doesn't like Madrid.

Obviously this is not a good rumor, this is an issue that is being built by some media just for the sake of it because Real Madrid is not in need of a player in the front position right now regardless of the Ballon d'Or problem that Rodri got that Real Madrid does not like but we analyze realistically that the Real Madrid team currently does not need a player in Rodri's position.
Real Madrid is currently in a slump so the media is trying to link that Real Madrid will make a lot of improvements but in fact the Real Madrid team under Acelotti is not interested in making many purchases even though they are experiencing performance problems, it's the same as last season.

Hence, it's too early for the Rodri or not rodri thing if true imo, before the end of 2027 more new talent will have shown up and open for hiring, eventually they might even loose interest before that 2025 and that RM choice... all I'm saying is 2027 is little bit far, although there might be a need for replacement that requires experienced player which will still depends on Guardiola decision if he's still the manager but I still doubt the news published by this medias anyways Tongue

But the problem is that Modric can't do it for a whole season in every game for 90 minutes. They can make use of him in decisive moments and he can still be valuable on a good day, but you can clearly see that he is not at the same energy level as he used to be years ago. Which is not an allegation or anything, but as a midfielder he has to go up and down all day long during the match, which is not exactly accommodating of his style to play the game.

I always suggested that he wasn't fired for just results, he was probably fired for some other reason because he did alright, second place isn't always that bad, and he did alright with Barcelona even on the season he was fired.

Now we are seeing most of those stars he found, like Yamal, to take Flick to another level and everyone thinks that Flick is doing great but the moment he starts to lose a few games and Real wins the league he will be fired. Losing the title to Madrid isn't really that shocking, it could happen, that's not a reason to fire a coach.
