Ancelotti did identify the problem, but he kept promising he would fight until the end of the season for the La Liga title. I'm not sure how important his promise is now because Real Madrid need points, not promises. Then Real Madrid have another difficult job waiting for them, that is because at the weekend they will play againt Espanyol.

Right now the 9 point gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona is difficult for Ancelotti, but what is clear is that they have chance to reduce that point gap in the upcoming El Clasico match. If Barcelona loses, then the points will only be 6 points different, but if Barcelona wins then it will only be 12 points clear.

real betis is a team that is tough enough for barcelona and also madrid even in the last supercopa semifinals, barcelona was held to a 2-2 draw by real betis but luckily barcelona won a penalty. a draw over Madrid will be fuel for the betis squad to try to win against man utd, apart from that in last year's friendly match, betis managed to narrowly win 1-0 over man utd, it seems they will try hard to repeat that.

Real Betis performed very well and they are much better than we could expect to see from them even though they are playing against Real Madrid as a team racing for the La Liga title. The moment when Benzema scored the first goal and it was not accepted I was thinking they are going to have an easy win against Real Betis but even after they were controlling whole the game much better than Betis they still failed to beat Betis in this game and they lost an important two points.

If we compare Barcelona's performance and Real Madrid performance this season, we will see that Barcelona is more consistent in winning matches than Real Madrid in Laliga. Real Madrid is still very much in the race to win the double titles which includes winning both the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish La Liga. Despite Barcelona's 9 point gap at the top of the league, I'm still hopeful Real Madrid possess the quality of players needed to catch up with them and win the league at the end of the season. The UEFA Champions League will be a difficult task as well but there's nothing too big in football for the Los Blancos and their quest for European success this season continues with the second leg play-off with Liverpool of which they shouldn't underate The Reds despite the result of the first leg at Anfield.

Big blow for real madrid with that draw .

They are playing like no vision with modric missing in the middle despite there is toni kroos it's like something big missing in real madrid squad as in the recent matches they are in awful form after held draw by atletico , losing to barcelona and now draw to real betis , the gap getting bigger again and barcelona fling high at the moment.
