You forgot that dembele is also one of the important players who got injured. It's a big loss by barcelona but the good thing is barcelona is still having a lot of gaps with the real madrid. Glad to see that if you were making the right choice for that. I thought that if barcelona will be winning wihout any problems but secondary players like de jong, ferran torres will not able to make difference in the club. Xavi needs to think so hard about how to rotate the players to make sure barcelona will be going back again to its best performance.

Not the only surprise this week, but maybe the most unexpected. I hardly ever bet, but I have to confess that this week I placed a multi bet and was a total failure: Real Madrid's draw, Real Sociedad's defeat and finally this Barça's result... well, at least Almería's fans will be happy tonight.

No one would have thought Barcelona will lose from Almeria because just like i said before that Almeria is very weak however i just watching the highlight of this match i can see Barcelona has displayed poor defense that there were no solid coordination between their defenders and also Barcelona weren't able to anticipate Almeria counter attack and indeed after conceded goal Barcelona players were attempts to equalized from free kick several times but unfortunately they cannot make it and i think there is something wrong with Barcelona that in just one week they have lost twice from Manchester United and Almeria

Barcelona was showing superior stats compared with almeria. Almeria was only getting a few chances to shoot but glad to see that almeria was able making goal while barcelona was missing all of shots. There are so many differences once pedri and dembele didn't play.

If you think that it was fatigue that led to Barcelona's loss to Almeria, it means that coach Xavi is not maximizing his squad. Barca has one of the best reserves in La Liga, as such he should be able to rest some players and bring in fresh legs for each match. There is need to have a plan which alternates players, thereby giving room for more players to take part in games.

I also observed that the Barca attack relies more of Lewandowski that is why all their goal attempts were aerial balls that was targeting the Polish striker. There is need to diversify the attacking force so that when Robert is not in form, other players can do the needful. Barca now has more advantage than Real Madrid to win the La Liga because they can now focus on it after their unexpected exit from the continental stage.

Almeria were outstanding in that game. The used the counter attacks affectively and when they coach say that the Barca attack was blunt, he instructed his boys to move forward. They really defended and attacked very well and it seems mother luck was on their side because Barca missed so many goal scoring opportunities. Such wins is what makes the La Liga exciting.
