To draw that game was very important for Real Sociedad, but i don't feel it's because the points difference between them and Real Madrid remained the same, they are not directly competing with Real Madrid for the title, i know for now they are in 3rd position and Real Madrid are in 2nd, while the difference in points between the two teams is just 3, but before the season ends i am sure Real Madrid would be above them with a lot of points. After that draw, Real Madrid's concern is Barcelona, because that is the team they are directly challenging for the title; Barcelona are above Real Madrid with 5 points now, it is a good advantage for Xavi's team and if Real Madrid keep on losing points Barcelona will take the title from them.

There's this sentiment people have towards Madrid players. Look at you now saying Vinicuis was unlucky, but if it was any other player that's not a Madrid player you'll say he was wasteful. Vinicuis was very wasteful yesterday. Velverde was awful all round. Kross, Camavinga were the outstanding players for Madrid yesterday aside the defense.

The third place team in the EPL is Newcastle that have just been acquired by the rich Arabs, the fourth place team is Manchester United that have spent millions in recruiting players and is always among the top 5 richest football clubs in the Europe yet these teams perform very badly when they meet these Spanish teams that are not half as rich and can't afford half the players these English teams can afford. That illusion about the EPL been ultimately better than every other league is laughable.
