I don't know what really happened, even a player like Benzema was "knocked out" while in his national team. I don't think Benzema is retiring because he wasn't appreciated in French national team,the fact remains that he can not play anymore for France, he is 35yrs old now and the next world cup is four years from now which he will be 39yrs old,at this age he will be weak and wouldn't be fit enough for the French team with young vibrant strikers. His present wasn't a problem to the team when he had injury that was why the coach didn't bother using him at the finals. The coach is a good coach and I believed he knew why he didn't put him in the match. Real Madrid still remains the best choice for Benzema as he has done so many great things for the club.
