He has time to play for Real Madrid and months ago, when he was asked about his plan after this contract expiration, he said he will end his career in Madrid, with Real Madrid, not with another club.

Benzema retired his career with his national team France. He announced it one day after World Cup 2022 final match. It is predictable after the latest unfair treatment of France and Deschamps for Benzema.

I can not verify news about Benzema vs Deschamps relationship is true but Benzema career with France is not smooth. He has a national career like Eric Cantona and David Ginola especially King Eric Cantona. Benzema and Cantona have successful careers with their clubs (Real Madrid for Benzema and Manchester United for Cantona) but their careers with France are very bad.

They did not have many chances with their national team and both Cantona, Benzema ended their national career without any title.
