With the current star players, it is strange that Xavi failed to be 1st or 2nd in La Liga. Their targets are the League and UCL champions. With an outstanding transfer move they should have been able to clinch the trophy.
If it fails I think it is Xavi who should be held accountable. But this I see statistically players. I don't know how they will be, if they are not able to perform stable I think they will fail again.

Atletico Madrid's consistency for the better has not been seen, they have lost several key players this season and Diego Simeone still doesn't seem focus on filling the void left by his players. It looks like Diego Simeone is preparing something, as it's hard to believe they haven't done anything while Atletico Madrid's rivals like Barcelona have made some changes.

There is still time for Ansu Fati to become a very significant player surely. They have players like Gavi and Pedri as well who must be convinced to remain in the team in the long term. Because these two players also are very crucial for Barcelona's future now. Xavi is creating a brand new team so they will need every single one of their skilled youngsters. When it comes to this season I'm also waiting for them to fight for being the champions as most people. This season is hopefully going to be a lot of fun.

Agree, Barcelona is unlikely to give the number 10 to Ansu Fati if he does not have great potential as well as being a valuable asset for Barcelona for the future. But so far what I have seen, Ansu Fati's level is still far below Messi, who previously also wore the sacred number at Barcelona. Ansu Fati needs support from coaches and senior players in the team to develop his talent, since he was first promoted from Barcelona B, he has developed much more than before. Only time will tell how Ansu Fati can do it, hopefully the number 10 used will not be a burden for him.

We have only one week ahead of us for the season to begin. Barcelona and Real Madrid seem like the most prepared teams recently. Barcelona is unlikely to achieve financial stability in the next few years. Barcelona has taken on a lot of debt. Barcelona has taken on more than a billion dollars in debt. Laporta, on the other hand, is trying to make money by selling shares. And from what I've heard, the amount of money he got from selling shares, he spent on recruiting new players instead of paying the loan. So it would be foolish to think that Laporta will stabilize Barcelona financially.
