On the one hand, I can understand Barcelona - they were on the verge of bankruptcy and had to take drastic measures in order to change the situation. But why did they make all these star signings before they settled all the deals with those players who already have active contracts? I wouldn't have high hopes for De Jong because it doesn't seem like it will have much effect on him considering he is now finding it very difficult to make the right decisions.

Yes indeed these three clubs are subscriptions to compete at the top of the standings. But last season they failed to compete and put Real Madrid on top without any pressure. Even though Sevilla tried it, they weren't strong enough to do something that could make it difficult for Real Madrid. And even at the end Sevilla was eliminated from his position in the standings. I don't even think he will stay even longer in barca. As a player and you may know if he knows what he will do. If his salary will not get cut by the club and he may stay in the club. The problem is de jong can accept if his salary will be decreasing a lot. If barcelona would not cut his salary and i think that's not a big problem for him.

The season has not even started, i would not be surprised to see barcelona's supporters being hyped caused by lewandowski that played for that club. People are seeing his history in the bundesliga but the real competition will be starting very soon. The question is whether he can follow la liga's atmosphere or not. This is la liga and not bundesliga. The same thing like what happened with haaland.

I'm sure Lewandowski hasn't been able to play optimally in some of the friendlies, but he's adapted well to his new squad.

However, of course what Xavi has done for Barcelona's growth is commendable. In circumstances like this, Barcelona has shown its strengths.
